Review: Damaged by Nina D'Angelo

Stephanie Carovella has been running from her past all her life. The survivor of a brutal attack, which left her best friend dead, she has carefully built a protective wall around herself, but she knows sooner or later her past is going to catch up with her. It's why she doesn't want to fall in love. It's why she doesn't want to let anyone get too close.

Dominic Delaney works hard and plays just as hard. He's a love 'em and leave 'em guy who doesn't believe in forever until Stephanie walks into Outlaws. She is wild, unpredictable and dangerous as hell, yet, he's drawn to her. He needs to know the secrets behind her eyes. He can't walk away.

A sexy, tattooed womanizer, Dominic Delaney's everything Stephanie wants to avoid. She knows she should stay the hell away from him, but he makes her want to stop running. Sometimes, even the Damaged deserve to fall in love.

Jamie's Review:

Damaged was definitely a must read!  I would give it 4 stars!  This story will draw you in and keep you guessing on the tip of your toes the whole journey.  Your going to LOVE Dominic, Ben, and Tyler the most I promise you this!  This book is told in multiple POV's but not to the point of being confusing like some books can be when they do that sort of thing.  I loved knowing what everyone was thinking it made the story more whole like you weren't missing bits and pieces.  When reading this book you wouldn't think this was the authors first romance novel she did amazingly well with all the sexy scenes..honestly off the hinges hot!  You need to pick up this book ASAP!  I look forward to more of this story, even though it ended nicely it still left it open for more to this story so don't worry you will get tons more of Dominic--eeeek!
Your gonna definitely gonna have disgust towards some of the characters mainly Dominics ex-girlfriend, I wanted to scratch her eyes out!  But this story is not for the faint of hearts Stephanie went through alot and I will not disclose that in my review because it will giveaway to many secrets.

This story is about Stephanie's damaged past and how she is trying to cope in the present with danger still lurking in her shadows all the while she is trying desperately to not fall in love because her past could damage any relationship she is in.  She is in a relationship when she meets the infamous ladies man Dominic who has his own past demons to deal with but he is drawn to Stephanie can they leave there pasts behind and move on with eachother and be truly happy?  Or does fate have its way of intervening-- in multiple ways.  I won't be to descriptive about the book because you have to pick it up because it is a hard book to explain giving all the twists and turns but I will give you some insight into the story (but just a little) *:-* kiss

Below are some insights into this wonderful story so that you can get a little taste of whats in store.

Dominic- Dominic had dated a lot of beautiful woman.  LA was filled with them, but she was different.  As much as he was physically attracted to her, that wasn't what captivated him.  It was her eyes.  They held him prisoner.  She hid her emotions carefully, her face a perfect mask of control, but she couldn't hide the fury or the pain behind those amber eyes; eyes he knew he could easily lose himself in.

Dominic didn't ask himself why he was approaching her.  He just knew he had to.  It was crazy to think a woman could affect him the way she did, but he wanted to talk to her.  If he didn't, he'd regret it.

"I'm not going to deny that I want to strip you naked and kiss every inch of your beautiful body.  I want your arms and legs holding me tight.  I want to feel your body wrapped around mine, your mouth on mine and I want to make you loose control."

Stephanie- He was dangerous.  She didn't even know him, and he already had a hold on her.  It terrified her, straight to the core.  He had the ability to break through the barriers she'd aligned around herself and the power to shake her foundations without even realizing it--without their even meeting.  Since the first night she'd walked into Outlaws, Dominic had looked too closely at her.  He saw everything she didn't want anyone to see.  He saw her.

Her life was with Ben.  She smiled at the thought of her boyfriend.  As much as she couldn't deny her attraction to Dominic or their strong connection, Ben was her future.  He was what she needed.  He was patient, solid, and he didn't ask questions.
She knew Dominic would hold her tightly when she woke up screaming at night.  He'd stroke her hair, tell her she was beautiful and calm her; she'd feel safe. He would make her feel too safe.  Being in his arms, she would forget everything but being with him; she'd want to love him and never let him go.  He'd want to fight her demons side by side with her, and what terrified her the most was that she'd let him.
