Blog Tour/Review: ALL LINED UP by Cora Carmack

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.

In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

All Lined Up was a great read.  It is a college romance about the coach's daughter falling for the bad boy quarterback.  I would give this a 4 star.  It was told in dual POV from Dallas and Carson.  I have been a fan of Cara for quite a long time and will continue to read any stories she puts out there because she never fails to give me a great journey in her stories.
Dallas is the football coaches daughter, she didn't want to go to college where her father worked but she is suffering through.  She wants to desperately pursue her dancing career in NYC, but her dad doesn't think she is responsible enough at 18 to live that far away.  She tries to stick to her studies but distractions of a very hot and sexy quarterback keep catching her attention.  But could she actually date someone and loose focus and loose her chance of proving to her father that she is responsible?  And her father is the coach of the football team would he be ok with them dating or is that another disaster waiting to happen?  Can she have the dancing and the bf or will she have to choose?
Carson transferred from community college to the university on student loans to try and win over an athelitic scholarship he was the second string quarterback, he has to prove the university that he is good enough and to his parents that he took the right step in leaving the community college.  He doesn't need distractions expecially women because he has a plan and he has to push himself.  But what happens when he meets Dallas at a party and she literally falls in his lap?  What happens when something happens with the first string quarterback and he is put up front and center?  Can he handle the pressure and to top it all off he finds out that the woman he is interested in is his coaches daughter?
If you like sweet college romances you should pick up this book!  I look forward to more from this author.  And yes it does end with and HEA no cliffy here! Wooohooo!
Here are some of my favorite lines in the book ENJOY!
Dallas and Carson-- There's a devilish glint in her eye, and I wonder how many hearts this girl has broken with her honesty.  Not that I'm worried about my heart.  I'm more concerned with the hard-on I can't get to subside with her so close to me.
"Then in the interests of honesty, I should say I'm trying really hard not to kiss you."
She straightens, and the strand of hair she was lazily twirling drops for her grasp.
"Why would you tell me that?"
"So that when I slip up and break my promise, you'll atleast know I tried."
Dallas-  This is different. I don't know anything about this guy except that his eyes make my mind fuzzy, and his muscled arms make my mouth water, and the things he keeps saying... they burn--beginning in my flushed cheeks, blazing through my blood, and curling between my legs until I feel like I have to squeeze them together just to keep from combusting on the spot.
"Carson McClain, you scare me like nothing has ever scared me before.  You drive me crazy and make me laugh and push my buttons on purpose.  You make me feel safe and smart and pretty.  Sometimes I think I might actually melt when you wrap your arms around me, and right now i feel a little bit like I might die if you don't kiss me."
Carson- There's something really fucking sexy about listening to a girl like her talk about football and actually know her stuff.  I'm used to having to explain what a first down means to most girls.
"You asked me once what fixes me the way dance fixes you.  I'm still not sure I've found that thing that pulls me together, but I've found who pulls me together.   You're the only thing that makes me feel better when I'm tired or frustrated.  You're the thing that quiets all my worries and doubts and fears.  So run if you'd like, but i'll follow.  You can try to hold me at arms length, but i'll never stop trying to pull you close.  Be scared if you must, but you're not going to lose me.  Not unless your dad comes in and finds me here, then neither of us will have a choice."
