Maverick has been in love with Killian almost all her life, but she couldn't have him because he broke her heart and married her sister. To retaliate, she married his brother Kael, who also happened to be her best friend. There are things she doesn't know and secrets the family is keeping. This is a book that you have to read. It is amazing. I sort of wished for a different outcome, but that is just my opinion. I can't discuss it here without giving the story away. I can only tell you that the characters feel real, the situation is memorable, and you are pulled into a love triangle like no other. Read it for yourself.
Maverick, Killian, and Kael have all pretty much grown up together but as young kids.. but Maverick has always been in love with Killian and Kael was her bestfriend... Killian and Maverick share quite the passionate time together and then something happens and it will turn all 3 worlds upside down and Kael will take the reigns... but what will happen when the truth behind everything finally unfolds?

Holy hell! I am not even sure I can form thoughts for this review.
Maverick has grown up in love with Killian Shepard. He returned the same feelings. But Kael Shepard (Killian's younger brother) has always been there, waiting, being her best friend. And harboring deep seated feelings for her.
Kael watches as Maverick falls in love with Killian, hating and despising that. He has known from a young age that he loves Mav.
Killian leaves to make something of himself. But when he finally comes back, he comes back engaged to Mav's sister Jillian. Maverick is devastated. But Kael is there, patient, picking up the pieces.
But Mav struggles to move on from Killian and ends up marrying Kael.
The tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Killian being cryptic and toying with Mav's feelings. But Kael is there, patient, showing that he has enough love for the both of them.
Will Kael's love be enough? Or was Maverick destined to be with Killian?
I couldn't decide who I wanted her to choose. I struggled in vain and am still not even sure that I am happy with her choice lol. This is definitely a "you must read this" from me. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out how it ended.
