**This is book two of a series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Four of my best friends and I started a journey five years ago not knowing where it would take us. We built an empire from the bottom up, and now we are successful businesswomen. But one thing has been missing: love.

JASMINE

I’m Jasmine (Jazz), Vice-President of ScentSations perfume empire.

While in my junior year of college, I broke up with the best man I'd ever met in my life. I didn’t think I was good enough for him. I lied about why I left him, and now, my lie has come back to haunt me.

Derek is back, and he’s determined to make me his.

Will I let my self-esteem get in the way of my future?
I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. There just wasn't any conflict.

Jasmine broke up with Derek in college because she thought she wasn't good enough for him. Derek is determined to get her back. It's been 7 years, but the sparks still fly...
Jasmine by CJ Jones is about a woman who walked away from the love of her life because she didn't think she was good enough for him. The downside, seven years later, she is still in love with him and is unable to forget him. We've all regretted something we've done, and for that reason, I thought the setup for this book was great, and I was excited to dig in...however, the book fell flat. The characters are both likable, successful in business, and ooze sex appeal. I liked them. But there was no plot. There could have been some push and pull to really build up the anticipation, but nothing. Not even a hint of it.

I'm giving this book 3.5 stars. While the plot wasn't really existent and there wasn't any real dilemma or push, the story was a quick read. It was steamy and I liked the characters. I just wish there had been more done with the setup. I know it's a short book, but there was ample opportunity.
