Seductive Chaos (Bad Rep #3)
by A. Meredith Walters
Cole Brandt was the self-centered and philandering lead singer for Generation Rejects
Vivian Baily was a flaky, attention seeking drama queen.
Apart they were challenging…together they were complete and total chaos.
Cole and Vivian were two people who should never have been together.
Yet they crashed into each other at every turn.
Their relationship was anything but stable. But it was passionate. It was messy. It was hopelessly seductive. And it might possibly drive them both insane.
They fought. They made up. They screamed. They made love.
They hated and they loved in equal measure.
And now that Generation Rejects are starting to hit it big and the band is on the road, temptation and massive egos could very well spell the end of their roller coaster.
If only they could stay away from each other.
But Vivian has finally reached her breaking point. Tired of their endless cycle, she is ready to say goodbye to Cole for good.
Yet Cole isn’t one to go away quietly. Particularly when he is starting to realize exactly what he stands to lose if Vivian walks away.
As his world begins to turn upside down, Cole realizes that the one person who can hold him together is the girl who may no longer want him.
Love can be a comedy of errors, particularly for two people who never seem to get the timing right.
And In the crazy world of rock and roll, the hardest lessons to learn just might be the ones with the sweetest rewards

"I tilted my face under the warm spray and leaned back as he wrapped his arms around me. He gently kissed between my shoulder blades and ran his nose upwards to the base of my skull.
“I missed you,” he murmured into my skin.
Just when I was okay with resigning myself to what we were, to being just fine with the lack of real emotional connection, Cole had to go and do things like that.
He peppered me with soft kisses, hugging me tightly.
“I really love you being here when I wake up. I wish you could be here every morning.” I could feel him smiling against my back and I wanted to bash his head in.
He really needed to shut the hell up.
Emo mushy crap was taking things too far. I didn’t need to engage my heart in this already sticky situation.
But this was Cole. He could be this amazing, beautiful person when he wanted to be. In the aftermath of sex he said things that sent me reeling. And I couldn’t help but allow my mind to wander to possibilities.
I hated him for it.
“You smell and taste unbelievable. There needs to be an AA program for this. Vivian Anonymous. Sign me up because I can’t get enough of touching you.” Cole ran his tongue along my wet skin and I couldn’t help but moan.
“Stay with me another night. Please,” he begged.
I wanted to give in. God, did I want to. When he was like this it was hard to deny him anything. But I couldn’t pretend that what we had was something else. That the two of us were ever destined for more than a temporary physical relationship.
If I started thinking like that, I was setting myself up for a hell of a fall. And I wasn’t sure I’d survive the impact.
Cole was an egotistical manwhore. That was what I needed to remember right now. If I didn’t stay, he’d have someone else ready and willing to take my place.
He may ask me to stay but he’d be just fine if I didn’t. Our hearts were not involved here.
I snorted inelegantly. “What would all the groupies say if I was here again tonight? I don’t want to cramp your style,” I scoffed, leaning my head back on his shoulder.
Cole’s hands came up to cup my breasts, kneading and rubbing in a way that made me weak in the knees. He played my body against me each and every time.
“Why do you have to say stuff like that, Viv? You know when you’re around, there’s no one else. I don’t want anyone but you,” he admonished, his teeth scraping along the side of my neck, making me shiver, despite the warmth of the shower."
I have been a huge fan of the Bad Rep series and when I found out Cole was getting his own book I was ecstatic! I have a huge soft spot for books with the lead singer and the whole tortured soul storyline. I eat it up! I live for rock and roll books and cannot get enough of them! A Meredith Walters did not disappoint in Seductive Chaos either! She takes us on a journey with Cole and Vivian where the both need to find themselves before they can find each other.
Cole freckin Brandt is the lead singer of the upcoming rock band Generation Rejects. He has the reputation of being quite the man whore and has no problems with giving the ladies what they want. He oozes sex appeal and he knows it. His good looks and charm has always got him what he wanted and needed. Rejected by his parents for now following their path they have planned for him, college or join the military. He knew that wasn’t what he wanted so he has been on his own since graduating high school. Generation Rejects is the only family he knows.
“I had been playing the part of psychotic rocks star for years. I parties. I did stupid stuff like run naked down a busy street or start a fist fight with a room full of bikers. I got so drunk I felt it into next week. My bandmates laughed it off. The fans expected it. The women loved it. I had a reputation to uphold. I gloried in all of the hedonistic bullshit that came with playing rock and roll for a living.”
Vivian Bailey was your typical sorority girl. But since she has graduated college, she needs to figure her life out. She came from a good home and family life and loves being the center of attention. She lands a job as an event coordinator and has to jump right into the position planning her first event.
“I wanted to be happy. I wanted to be cared for. I wanted my fairy tale and happily ever after. I blamed Titanic and every 80’s power ballad ever released.”
When it came to Cole though… it was never the happily ever after. They had a crazy relationship. They used each other for one thing, sex. They would bring out the best in each other but then they brought out the worst in each other. Cole knew how to ruffle Viv’s feathers and he loved every minute of it. They would fight like cats and dogs, and then go after each other like a crack fiend needing a fix on each other. After a while something changed in Viv. She wanted more. She didn’t want to be his go to girl whenever they were in the same room.
When Viv decides she needs to keep her distance with Cole, his world starts crumbling around him. Things with the band start to get ugly and with their manager turning Cole against the other guys. Their manager Jose knows Cole is meant for greatness, that he is the reason Generation Rejects are where they are out. When Jose lands a spot for Cole and big time record label as a solo artist will this be the end of Generation Rejects?? When Cole does some sole searching, will it lead him back to the one person who he knows has been there for him? Or has Viv learned to live her life without needing Cole. She has had time to do her own soul searching and she is tired of being Cole’s door mat. Will a new man in her life be the one she decides to turn to??? Even though their relationship was full of passion, will Cole stop his womanizing ways to be there for Viv?
“Cole was the only person who made me feel alive. With anyone else, Theo included, I was just going through the motions. With Cole, it was balls to the walls, let set the house on fire passion”
Seduction Chaos is a great additional to the Bad Rep series and I loved the fire and passion in Cole and Viv’s relationship. It also gave us more of the supporting casts and their stories and a great segway into the next book! I cannot wait for it as I will be forever a Generation Reject groupie! 4 huge stars!
