Do you ever come across a book that you just devour and cannot get enough of.. a book that makes you feel like a crack friend and you will do anything to get your hands on any morsel of information about the next book??  Well for me this is it!  Claire Contreras sucked me into this book and it grabbed me like no book has this year! This is definitely on the top of my best of list!

He gave them a choice.

She took it.

He made her promise two years.

She should have known there was a catch.

“She signed on every dotted line she was told, and knew that in that moment she’d sealed her fate with the devil.”

I have to say Claire Contreras is a freaking evil genius! The synopsis for The Devil’s Contract is the shortest synopsis I’ve ever seen and that makes me even more curious about it… Then she drops only little blurbs here and there to entice us with… again… evil genius! Then when TDC was released I could not wait to get my hands on it! I devoured it in less than 24 hours! And in true Claire Contreras fashion she did not disappoint! Words cannot express how much I loved this book. In my opinion, it’s the best book of the year! If you were to take suspense, heartbreak, angst and throw in some hot sex… bam… you get The Devil’s Contract. It gutted me and left me wanting more. I love it when a book tangles a carrot out there for you to enjoy and savor and leaves you wanting more. I literally feel like a crack fiend and want to go back and re-read this amazing piece of work! Even though there is a second book coming out in a few short months I felt this was a fabulous and jaw dropping ending to this book. I simply floved it (translation fucking loved it… floved!)!! The author reveals just enough to satisfy my appetite for angst and I will be counting down the days until I get my next fix!

Like any family, The Maloof’s have their skeletons in the closet… but with more money comes bigger skeletons. When Amara’s father goes into a large amount of debt, she agrees to work for a family friend, Phillip, in Paris to pay off the debt in exchange for her Mother to get care for her cancer. That is the one thing that she focuses on … getting her mother better. She has cut ties to her father due to the mess he put their family in. The hardest part though for Amara is leaving Colin, her unofficial boyfriend. They have been there for each other for years and their chemistry and passion was off the charts. Their relationship didn’t need labels, they knew they had each other. She knew it would break Colin’s heart to leave but she had to do this for her mother. The only hard part was she could not tell anyone about the deal she made.
“His brown eyes had been the source of her sanity. Amara drank them in, the way he looked at her with such passion, such hunger. Like she was the only woman worth looking at. Now that she knew their time together was so short, she hated herself for taking it all for granted.”

Amara should have known better to trust Phillip to but her to work where she could utilize her marketing degree. For the sake of her Mother, she agrees to her job and knows that it will give her Mother the best treatments available. The deeper she gets into Phillip’s business dealings the more shady the business gets. While in Paris, she discovers that life stateside moves on without her. She receives an email from Colin that his father has passed away and he is getting married to someone else. While it seems Amara’s life is crumbing around her my heart broke for her. She sacrifices her happiness and her life to save her Mother and she is left alone in a foreign country will no real friends.
“Happiness is but a dream. Life has very little to do with happiness it hands you, and everything to do with the happiness you choose to create.”

There are more twist and turns to this story and I don’t want to give any of it away and spoil the story for you. I was immersed in this story of who do you trust and who is telling the truth. My heart broke for Amara and so many levels.. for her mom… for her lost love… for her happiness. I was gutted when those little pieces start to sort out and it left me wanting to know more! There are so many theories on how this story can end in The Sinners Bargain that my head is spinning… but again I crave it, I cannot wait for it!! I bow down to the master that is Claire Contreras! This story just touched me on so many levels and pulled me into their story. This book IS MY FAVORITE BOOK OF THE YEAR! If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Blog Tour and Review: Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

... find the quiet in the chaos

Sweet Filthy Boy is the first book I have read by this author(s) and it will definitely not be my last! I loved everything about it and it had a completely new, fresh story. What I mean is, it wasn't boy meets girl, they fall in love, yada, yada.... same old story. The story is told from only Mia's POV but I would have liked to see into Ansel's mind to get a handle of where his mind was. Sweet Filthy Boy is the first in a new series for Christina Lauren but it didn't end with a cliffhanger and the second book in the series will focus on a different couple. I wish that there had been an epilogue to tie it all up in a nice bow but I can only hope that there is a novella before the next book.

Mia was a dancer and that was all that she wanted for her life but tragically, that dream was put to an end when a car accident left her leg so badly damaged that she would never dance professionally. Feeling lost and defeated, she enrolled in business school to make her father happy. Before heading off to graduate school in Boston, Mia and her two best friends head to Vegas to have some fun.
This is where Ansel appears and Mia's life will never be the same. She just wanted to have a good time and maybe have a one night stand but when she wakes up married the next morning, she begins to piece together what happened. Ansel doesn't want to do an annulment until the summer is over and asks her to come back to his home in Paris. Mia is a bit floored but at the last second, she jumps on his plane!

“I just want to make love to you all day. I don’t want to think about work or friends or even eating. I want to exist on you alone.” - Ansel

The is a bit lot of hot steamy sex in this wonderful book, but it doesn't take it over the way some books do because the sex scenes were not boring or repetitious the way some books are written. Anyone can write a sex scene, but it takes talent to write good one, and these ladies do not disappoint.

I want my hands on every inch of him at once, but they always gravitate to the smooth expanse of his chest. Everything in the world I find sexy, I find there: The firm, warm skin. The heavy drum of his heart. The sharp spasms of his abdomen when I scratch my short nails over his ribs. The line of soft hair that always tempts my hands lower.

I want to write more but I don't want to ruin it! So, go buy the book because it won't disappoint!

I know now that I love him, that what we have is real, and that I probably loved him that first second I saw him from across the room, enjoying my happiness as much as I did. It is possible to fall that fast.

Sweet Filthy Boy was another great funny sexy book by Christina Lauren.  I would give this book a 4 stars!  This is book one of the wild seasons series.  This is told in Mia's POV, but you will still get plenty of the hot sexy French man Ansel.  I have loved every book that Christina Lauren has put out there and she made no mistake with this one, it was fabulous.  I love there writing style, and how they can make the most unique characters.  Beautiful Bastard will always hold a special place in my heart but this one scooted right up next to it.  I can't wait for more in this series.  It does end with an HEA, but hopefully we will get to see more because her friends and his friends characters would make a damn good book as well!

Mia and Ansel meet on a night when Mia is out celebrating for her graduation from college.  Mia didn't want to go out that night but her friends of course talked her into it.  She never thought she would meet this sexy french man Ansel.  They seem to run into each other all over and one drunken night something huge happens and he propositions her to come back to Paris with him....will she take his offer or move forward with her life to please her parents by going to grad school and finishing her education?  What will happen when she does take this adventure to Paris, its just supposed to be an arrangement of sorts not a real thing, its all pretend right?  Can she keep her heart out of the arrangement or do they both fall hard and fast and never look back?  Will his job get in the way of them spending time together?  Can they find an HEA after all?

You need to pick up this book... you will laugh out loud and seriously swoon over Ansel.  I didn't want to give to much away in my review because I think it would ruin the story.  But trust me when I say if you loved any books by these authors you will definitely love this one just as much.  I can't wait for more from them they seriously can write fantastic stories and delicious male specimens!

Here are some lines from the book, and check out my teaser pic below this cause it is my favorite line in the whole book!

Mia-- He makes me feel like I'm something to reveal, something in which to revel.  I'm the reward at the end of his magic trick, exposed beneath the velvet cape.  His eyes rake across my skin and I can see his own impatience:  shirt flung across the room, fingers tugging at this belt, tongue flickering at the air, searching for a taste of me.

I don't know where these words are coming from:  I'm not myself right now.  Maybe I'm never myself with him.  He nods but doesn't stop moving his hand.  I love it.  I love that it's no weird or taboo.  He's lost in me, he's hard, he's giving in to the need for his own pleasure while he gives me mine.

Ansel-  "Won't you wake up, Cerise?  Kiss me goodbye with that mouth of yours?  Those lips that me in trouble?  I was in a meeting yesterday and when they called my name I had no idea what anyone was talking about.  All I could think about was the way your cherry lips look stretched around my cock, and then last night.....oh.  The things I'll imagine today.  You're going to get me fired and when we're penniless on the street you'll have no one to blame but that mouth."

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Rev (Bayonet Scars #3) by JC Emery

With the looming threat from the Mancuso Crime Family, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is preparing for a war that could destroy them. Grady, the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms, knows that love makes you weak, and he has zero interest in adding to his liabilities– especially now. He’s already got his teenage daughter who keeps him on his toes and a beef within the club that could fracture his relationship with a fellow brother for good.

For Holly Mercer, her life is finally getting on track and the last thing she wants is trouble from her hometown’s resident outlaws. Keeping her nose clean is easier said than done, when suddenly she finds herself embroiled in club business. Holly might like the idea of being with a real-life bad boy, but even being in the same room with tough-as-nails Grady flusters her.

When Holly inadvertently finds herself on Mancuso’s radar, she has two choices: trust that Grady will protect her, or continue to refuse the club’s help. Both roads are dangerous, but only one has the chance to damage her beyond repair.

Love is never more dangerous than when it can destroy you.

Love isn't a blessing; it's a fucking burden. - Grady

I love this series! It just keeps getting better and better! Who doesn't love a bad-boy and a women that can stand up to him?! If you have not read the first two books, Ride and Thrash, you may want to read those before reading Rev because even though each book features a different, yet connected couple, much of the book won't make sense without the back story.

Rev is the third book in the delicious series titled Bayonet Scars by J.C. Emery. I don't know where she comes up with her book concepts but holy shit I can't put them down once I start reading! Her character development is amazing and the story line pulls you in so much that you never want to put it down! It had me reading at every second that I could! I do need to issue a warning: There is a quite violent rape scene that may be a trigger for some readers. Proceed with caution.

Holly has just moved back into town and is working in the local high school office, where Cheyenne, Grady's daughter goes to school. Holly has grown fond of Chey and is concerned when Chey's grades start slipping and she starts skipping school. After many failed attempts to contact Mr. Grady, Holly decides to go to their home to speak to him because the principal is threatening to expel her. But Grady is a class A asshole!

“Bitch, Chey’s my kid, and I know what she needs. What she doesn’t need is your uppity ass coming to her home and harassing her about shit. Next time you show up here, it better be to drop to your knees and to suck my dick.” - Grady

Holly is a bit taken aback, but she doesn't back down because she is genuinely worried about Cheyenne's future and she is kind-of a bad ass women that I wouldn't mind having in my corner.
It makes my skin crawl that despite how big of an asshole he is, that I still find him attractive. He’s not the first hot guy I’ve ever seen, but he is certainly the biggest douche bag. - Holly
When Holly goes to a local bar/restaurant for her lunch break at the insistence of Chey, Grady shows up and all hell breaks loose putting Holly in the middle of Grady's dangerous and sometimes illegal club life.
The last few minutes I spend with Holly Mercer make me realize something that I'd rather not admit: I like her. But it’s more than that. It’s deeper. She’s infuriating and pushy and she doesn’t give a shit that I wear this cut. She is who she is and fuck if that ain’t some kind of beautiful stupidity. I don't want to like her, and I don't want the complication of trying to insert her in my life. But it's there, and I don't think it's going to go away anytime soon. - Grady

If you are a fan FX's Sons of Anarchy and the hotness god that is Jax Teller, then Rev will not disappoint. I love how the characters from the previous books are  present and this series just wouldn't be the same if it only had one POV. The story of the Forsaken motorcycle club and the violence and problems that follow them around and the hot as hell bad boys that have hearts of gold (shhh don't tell anyone that, it's a secret), will have me watching very closely for the next installment!

“We need to have a talk,” he says in the quietest way possible. I try to nod, but his grip kind of immobilizes my head.
“Okay,” I whisper. He turns us just slightly and slowly walks me backward. It’s awkward, walking like this, with his feet practically stepping all over mine, and me being unable to see where I’m going, much less the path we’re taking. A shadow falls over as we enter the small nook around the corner from the hall that leads down to Mr. Beck’s office. I hit a hard surface that I recognize as the door to the janitor’s closet, and Grady stops, now absolutely flush against me. I breathe slightly easier knowing that Margot can’t see us from her desk, because whatever is happening here is plenty embarrassing without having to re-live it via the gossip chain He’s much larger in such close proximity, with his entire body resting against mine and his hand cradling my neck. Slowly, he tilts my neck so that I’m forced to face him.
“You threw twenty-five grand out of a moving vehicle,” he says.
“I’m crazy,” I say immediately. He smashes his lips together, which distracts me from the whole intense eyeball thing he’s got going on. His lips part and he pulls in a deep, shuttered breath. I try to form a coherent sentence, but it’s difficult. He’s kind of intoxicating in this small space. “You make me crazy.”
“Why don’t we just get this out of the way, huh?” he says quietly. “I want to taste your pussy.” My face heats at the thought of him putting his tongue to a good use for once. Pressure builds in my head, and it’s only then that I realize I’ve stopped breathing.
“You see that—that nervous excitement you’re feeling? I’m under your skin. You don’t have to like it, but I’m there,” he says so quietly it comes out as a whisper. He reaches out with his free hand and strokes my arm with a single finger. His touch is light, but it sends chills down my spine. “Something you should know about me, babe. I don’t go into shit blind. You think I don’t know you, but I do. I know every asshole who’s been inside of you, I know every place you’ve called home—even the places you don’t want me to know about. I know the way you like your coffee, and I know how you think. The shit I don’t know, you’ll tell me. Eventually, I’m going to know every dirty little part of you, and if you think I make you crazy now, just wait until I bury my dick inside you.”

Death comes in Armani. Salvation comes in leather.

Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has laid out for her, she makes a choice she can't take back, changing the entire trajectory of her life.

Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits. Ryan Stone can be her friend, but he’s forbidden to be her lover.

Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross.

Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden.

Loneliness suffocates the heart. Acceptance breaks down walls.

As a Lost Girl to the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, Nicole Whelan knows how to party. She’s not cut-out for relationships and her life is way too complicated for anything more than casual encounters. But one night when she falls into Duke’s bed at the clubhouse, he sees something in her that he can’t let go of—no matter how many times she tries to run.

Having been left to raise her teenage brother, Jeremy, she’s already got her hands full and isn’t looking for anymore complications. But Duke’s just watched his best friend fall for the only girl he couldn’t have, and then almost lose her so shortly after, shaking him to his core. Faced with his own loneliness, he’s more determined than ever to break down Nic’s walls and show her that he can be good for her; but he’s got a bad track record and she’s got a bad temper. Changing his ways isn’t easy when he’s not sure what he’s even changing for.

The violence and turmoil are at an all-time high, and Forsaken is in a vulnerable place when a twist of fate breathes new life into the club. It’s a much-needed beacon of hope for the embattled biker family, even if everyone’s not exactly on board. With Duke and Nic’s relationship already on shaky ground, and something even more important at stake, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club will fight like hell to keep their family together and whole.

Love is never more precious than when it’s new.
