First off I have to say that I am now a huge huge fan of Laurelin Paige! This was one of the best books I have read this year so far.. and I can't wait to read the others in this series... yes I went out and bought them as soon as I was done with Fixed on you. This was told in one POV Laynie's. This was an intense sexually charged story, and I loved every freaking minute of it! I would definitely recommend this to friends, umm wait I already have! I would give this a seriously huge 5 stars!
Laynie has a trouble past because of her fixation disorder that she has had ever since the death of a loved one, but she has controlled it for many years... she is finally in control of her life she graduated from college works at a job that she loves and is hoping to get a promotion soon... but certain circumstances will change her life course. Not only is there a new owner of the bar she works at but he is type of man she steers clear of because he is what she would easily fixate on and that isn't something she is willing to do again.. so she thinks.. what will happen when she gets propositioned by said broody sexy man Hudson who is a take what he wants kind of guy? He also has a disorder of sorts and will do anything in his power to get what he wants when he wants it no questions asked. Can these too play off the facade they plan and come out in the end with no real emotions involved or does the love they both deem they aren't worthy of find them anyway? Do they get fixated on eachother, or is it all too much and will one of them run?
Go get this series ASAP! I'm telling some of the best sex scenes and Hudson OMG he is the sexiest man I have read about in a while... Thanks Laurelin Paigeyou have made my day with this book and it will stay with me for quite some time, now I have to end this review so that I can go read more about Hudson and Laynie cause I just can't get enough! Oh and I can't wait for Hudson's story!

Laynie- After the numerous heartaches that had dotted my past, I'd discovered that I could divide men I was attracted to into two categories. The first category could be described as fuck and forget. These were the men that got me going in the bedroom, but were easy to leave behind if necessary. It was the only group I bothered with anymore. They were the safes ones. David fell into this category. Then there were the men that were anything but safe. They weren't the fuck and forget-- they were, "Oh Fuck!" They drew me to them so intensely that I became consumed by them, absolutely focusedon everything they did, said and were. I ran from these men, far and fast.
He labeled it as a kiss for our distant spectators, but it was completely ours--a harmonic blending of him and me, so thoroughly fused I could no longer remember where he began, where I ended, whose taste belonged to who. And it was more--- a love song without words, a promise without fear. It was a spark, a beginning of something new.

Laynie and Hudson-- "Because you're uncomfortable with my proposition? Or because I told you that I'm going to fuck you.?" His profession had no less impact the second time. "I'm...yes. That." He cocked his head, contemplating me with puzzled eyes. "But I'm certain that's not a surprise to you, Alayna. You feel the electricity between us. Your body language expresses it quite well. I wouldn't be surprised to find you're already wet."
I've been hearing a lot of buzz about this Fixed on You so I was excited to dive in. Holy Cow! Talk about some hotness that is Hudson Pierce! If you love an alpha male CEO, this book is perfect for you! He oozes male perfection and is always in charge in every situation. The chemistry between him and Alayna was off the charts! I was so drawn into their story I could not put it down.
“It was how he looked at me, in a way that no man had ever looked at me, a hungry passiveness present in his stare as if he not only had undressed me in his mind, but had claimed me to be sated by no one ever again expect him.”

Alayna Withers just graduated college and is working her way up the nightclub management ladder. She doesn’t want to work the normal 9-5 job. She is smart and intelligent but needs something more to stimulate her. She has OCD when it comes to love. She loves being in love. Because of this, she keeps herself busy and doesn’t do relationships. Hudson Pierce is the CEO of Pierce Industries. He also doesn’t do relationships but he is currently in an arranged marriage that he wants to get out of. The way to do it, trick his mother that he is actually in love with someone else. Enter Alayna… He propositions her to be his pretend girlfriend in exchange to pay off her enormous student loan debt. Sex with him is just an added bonus… smokin hot sex!!!!

What was supposed to be a casual no strings attached relationship turns into something more. The more time Alayna is around Hudson the more she finds herself obsessing and falling into old patterns. She tries to stay away but is she yT?is drawn to Hudson. She knows it not healthy to be in this relationship with him. If you can call it a relationship… She feels like she is more vested and to him, its just business.
“If I was obsessing I didn’t care. Hudson drew me to him with a magnetic force. And while I knew that my behavior could only be allowed as a one-time lapse. I relished the high of fixating on the man who already clearly stated he could never be mine”
Would Alayna be able to play the part… to be the girlfriend or will she need and crave more from Hudson. Where does the line of being the pretend girlfriend end and a real relationship start? Will she accept that Hudson will never be able to give her what she needs? Or will he do something would surprise the one who states is incapable of love???
