Still, her vulnerability added depth, and I appreciated that the story didn’t stay surface-level. The chemistry between Scarlett and Jace was electric, and the forbidden workplace dynamic definitely kept me hooked.
The plot had a good balance of humor, spice, and drama—with some twists I didn’t fully see coming. It wasn’t just about the romance; it touched on themes of trust, betrayal, and healing in a way that gave the story emotional weight.
Overall, it was an entertaining, slightly angsty read that delivered more than I expected. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a steamy romance with a side of chaos and heart.
A hardheaded MFC with walls and baggage and a wealthy CEO MMC who manages to tear down those walls and capture her heart.
These two have a tale filled with humor, steam, twists and turns that aren't as predictable as most stories and that is why I enjoyed this one the most.
I recommend this one to romance lovers who enjoy a story with substance.
