Blog Tour, Review, & Giveaway: Pandora Wild Child by Sunniva Dee

Pandora Wild Child by Sunniva Dee
Publication date: October 28th 2014
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult

I’m free. Fucking free!

I’m in college with my best friends and far, far from home!
With my Scheuermann’s disease as the excuse, my father kept me locked up at home all through high school. Here in Deepsilver, I can finally be me, Pandora, so—
Why the hell should I hold back?
They accept our fake IDs at Smother, our local haunt. I’m the life of the party, everyone loves me—hell, I could get away with murder in this place! Drunk off my ass, I dance on the bar, and—
I’m on top of the world!
I need to get my shit together, though. If I don’t pull off good grades, my father won’t pay my tuition. There’s no way I’m moving back into his “fortress.”
At the bar, I set my eyes on a gorgeous stranger. My plans don’t involve him long term; one night should be enough. But Dominic is more than I bargained for. God, I’m so drawn to this man. My skin hums at his touch because—
He expels the shadows of my past and replaces my pain with desire.
Perfect Dominic. Beautiful, graduating, soon-to-move-on-with-his-life Dominic.
I’m a wild child. A hot mess. Not grownup and focused like him. He’s addictive, and I am weak, but—screw this; I can wean myself off him! With the right antidote—
Addictions can be broken.

Pandora Wild Child by Sunniva Dee was an excellent read in my book, coming in at 4 Wild Child stars!! It is written in a dual point of views of Pandora and Dominic and also added snippets from Leon's point of view thrown in here and there. I was in a bit of a book slump before I started Pandora Wild Child and this one definitely got me out of it because I started it yesterday and finished today!

"My life's a mess, and I love it, fear it, hate it." - Pandora

Pandora Cancemi is as the book title says a "wild child". She, along with a bunch of her closest friends move away to attend college. They are living in a place that her father bought for them and the rules are that she gets passing grades or he will sell it and she will have to move back home. Pandora was diagnosed with ADHD when she was younger and she also suffers from Scheuermann's, which is a debilitating disease that causes unnatural curvature of the spine. She needs to see a physiotherapist on a regular basis and this is where she meets Dominic.

"Deep in my chest it's there, premonition style; this-she-has the power to destroy me. Pandora. She's a wild child, and yet I want to be around her. Make her smile. Moan."-Dominic

Dominic Davide is currently going to college for physiotherapy and working at Elysium Spa until he gets his degree. The owner, Geraldine and Dominic have a little agreement that might just cause problems down the road. His seventy-four year old grandmother is on the verge of being put into a nursing home by his uncle. This comes as a big concern and he needs to go home and find out what is really going on. While he is gone Leon steps in. Pandora may just change her wild ways or dig herself in deeper.

"Now how much prettier would you look tied to my bedpost?"-Leon

I write New Adult fiction with a paranormal twist and don’t shy away from romance and heart-wrenching passion when necessary.

I moved from Norway to the United States in 2001, and the first awesome five years I spent in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. Then I read “The Book,” aka Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which spurred my husband and me to move cross country to beautiful Savannah, Georgia.

I’m currently on my seventh year in the Deep South, where I enjoy the heat and the humidity. Besides writing, I spend my time with our “petting zoo” as in an opinionated parrot, a herd of cats that are experts on keyboard shortcuts, and puppies that…uh, bark.

I hold a Master’s degree in languages, with concentrations within literature and linguistics. I taught at college level for a decade before settling in as a graduate adviser at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Writing is my passion, my joy, and my addiction. When I’m not writing, I read.
Shattering Halos is my debut novel, and its standalone sequel, Stargazer, is due out later this year.

Review: Little Black Book by K.T. Mara

Connor

I think my dick is broken.

I haven’t fucked in three months.

That’s how pathetic the situation has become. I haven’t had a dry spell like this since...well—never.

People like me don’t have dry spells. In New York, if you’re twenty-six, richer than God, and still can’t get laid…that’s just fucked up.

Except this isn’t even my fault—I can’t help that hours of nothing but old geezers in suits talking about negotiations and acquisitions bores my dick to dormancy.

I fucking wish I was bi-polar. Then one of my alter egos could have a better libido.

Instead, I’m given the personal assistant from hell.

But if this is the only way I can escape the family business, so be it.

I can bite my tongue and shit on my pride for a few months…I hope.

Little Black Book by KT Mara was hilarious!! It is told by both Connor and Rachel's point of views and both of them are funny as hell! If you are looking or a fun, quick read this is your next book. I'll definitely continue with the series to find out what happens next! Major game changer at the end and completely through me off guard, and possibly makes the cover fit the book! I say Little Black Book has earned 3.5 stars!

Connor Shaw is struggling with his manhood. It seems it has taken a hiatus and Connor is damn aware and not happy about it. Nothing is working, he's tried it all to no avail. Something's got to give!

"I'm more concerned about the livelihood of my dick. Frankly, Gus, I'm worried it may shrivel up and cease to exist." -Connor

Rachel Trevelynn was ordered by her dad to work as a PA for Connor to get more experience. Needless to say, she is less than thrilled to be working with him. They've known each other since kindergarten and it hasn't been friendly.

"Shaw was a first class man-whore. And by first class, I meant the quantity of miles he has ridden, not the class. He has no class." -Rachel

If you're wanting a hilarious, quick read be sure to get this one now!

Review: Catch Me by Claire Contreras

In the past, I've always been given everything I've wanted, but nothing that I truly needed. I've experienced a lot of things in my twenty-five years, everything except the one thing I want. It's the one thing that can’t be bought. It can't even be taken, it has to be given. And nobody has ever given it to me, not really anyway.

Not until him.

Music is the center of both our lives, but as he found his place in it, I lost my way. He soared, while I spiraled down a destructive path.

I lost myself in more ways than I can count.

The ironic thing is that I didn’t realize how lost I was until he found me.

And now that he has, I have to wonder if he'll stay around long enough to catch me.

Let me just start by saying I am a huge huge fan of Ms Contreras and when I found out she was doing a standalone I was soooo excited!  Seriously LURVE her!  She hits another home run with Catch Me!  I was so drawn into Brooklyn’s story.  It’s tragic, it’s heartbreaking, but it’s also smoking hot! I did not want this book to end and sad that it is a standalone we won’t be getting more from their story as there is still so much I want to know! They are characters that came to life with real struggles.  Even though life looks perfect, when you look closer, you see that is horribly flawed.

We have Brooklyn, the rich girl that seems to have it all.  Except the one thing she so desperately wants, the love of her family.  Her Mother is an ex-model who is all about the appearances and her Father is the head of highly successful record company.   She lives the life of privilege but with it comes a cost.   She is close to only a handful of people.  One being Shea, they attempted a relationship several years ago but decided the only thing that always bought them together was drugs.  In the process, he shot to super stardom rock God.  Is story is heartbreaking and this is one I would love to see a spinoff of.  I have such a weakness for the misguided rock god!  Him and Brooklyn haven been through so much and their friendship will be tested more than once.  With Shea comes his hottie producer Nick.  Brooklyn is instantly drawn to him.  He has the reputation of a love him and leave him type of guy and Brooklyn isn’t ready to be a notch on his bed post.
"I realize, as I have my eyes closed, that even though I'm not looking at him anymore, I'm still completely immersed in him.  His scent overpowers my senses and for a moment I feel like I can't possibly in New York City because I'm breathing such fresh air."
"All I can think about is how fast my heart is beating and how my stomach feels like I have exploding pop rocks in it.  The way he makes me feel scares me.  The way I think I would feel without him scares me more"
Will Brooklyn and Nick be able to have a lasting relationship, or will the ever present Shea come between them?  Will Brooklyn able to work through her issues and be truly happy?  You will need to read to find out!  I hope several characters get their own books because I just loved them all… even with the flaws.  There were so many things that were unexpected that right when I think I had things figured out, I was proven wrong.  I love a book that keeps me on toes and does not lead you down a road of predictability and this one does that!  Huge 5 star read for me!

First of all I absolutely devoured this story!  I couldn't put this down! Needless to say I was a pretty grumpy nurse for a few days cause of no sleep :)  OH WELL! So worth it to finish this story!!!   This was definitely a 5 Star read for me!

Brooklyn--  She was the rich teenager, Mom was a model, Dad was a big shot both never home she got whatever she wanted and used it to dive into the world of drugs, drinking and partying.... One night it went to far and something very tragic happened which sent Brooklyn into a tale-spin of depression-- but a man saved her and she never knew who it was-- will she ever find out who that young boy was that saved her life?? HMMMMM read it you will find out!

Eight years later she has picked up her life started her own business when she is called by her father to help with his business.  He runs a record label and he knows his daughter is one of the best when it comes to finding new talent and he needs her right away to help out!  She picks up and moves to NYC cause who wouldn't drop everything for there family right?  She has to help her dad and brother with there company leaving her new business behind in the hands of her so called best friend-- can she trust her to keep it together while she is away?? (you will have to read to find that out )  Then Brooklyn runs into and Old friend Shea who she has been trying to avoid because he is trouble for her... not only is he a famous singer but he is her best friend and they have a huge history together not just as friends but lovers.   Is he what she wants? Could she go there again?  Then comes his music producer Nick (holy mother of all that's hot!) !!  When they first locked eyes with each other she couldn't help but think Shea who?  But would he only be after her for her famous father and money?

Nick-- Seriously hot piece of swoon worthy man!  He runs his own music producing business and they call him the Shadow.  He makes money of his own and comes from a rich family of his own, but unlike Brooklyn's family they are very loving and caring and would do anything for one another and not think twice about it.   Nick never thought he could find the kind of forever love he has wanted so he has kept his dating very casual and friends with benefits-- will that back fire one day.. hmmm only way to find out is to read this book!!!   When he first meets Brooklyn he is hooked... but he isn't sure about pursuing her does she still want Shea?  He doesn't share and once he makes her his there is no going back for him.  Will secrets from his past and her past tear them apart?  How can he prove to her that he doesn't need her fame or money?

There is tragedy that strikes this book more than once and I seriously cried a couple times.  You would seriously be missing out if you didn't read this story.  The only thing I hope is that there will be more to this story, it didn't end with a cliffhanger but it did leave it open for more with all the characters.  I soooo hope there is more and soon!!!!  OH and Seriously HOTTTT doesn't describe some of these sexy scenes!!! READ THIS BOOK!!!! Thanks for a great story!!!!

I’m suddenly finding it hard to breathe and it has nothing to do with the dancing. I look around and catch Nina’s profile as she speaks to Skylar over by the bar. She’s completely enthralled in her conversation and I wonder if she even remembers I’m here. When Nick lifts up my hair from my back and drapes it over one of my shoulders, I close my eyes, completely forgetting about Nina. Nick wipes the beads of sweat on the back of my neck and blows on me. He may think he’s cooling me, but his breath on my neck is making me shiver heat.
I feel him brush the spot in between my shoulder blades with his lips, and I throw my head back to his chest. We’re still swaying along to the beat of the music, but it feels like our dance is much more sensual than the music that’s playing. His hands begin to inch upward again, and again I place my hands over them, effectively stopping him.

“I’m not going to cop a feel, Brooklyn. You can relax,” he says, his voice husky.

I shake my head letting him know I won’t relax, even though my eyes are still closed and my head is lulled against him. I turn myself around to face him again when the song comes to an end and he dips his head close enough that I can see his beautiful ocean eyes before he places a kiss on my cheek. I suck in a breath as he brushes his lips softly up to my ear.

“You look beautiful, by the way. The most gorgeous girl in this place,” he murmurs as he lets go of my arm and turns to leave.
