BOOK DETAILS
NEW RELEASE
Book Title: Bed-Hopping
Length: 38 000 words
Release Date: July 31, 2025
Tense/POV: Third person, alternating POV
Tropes: Fake dating, small town romance, lies, love at first sight.
Themes: Forgiving your own mistakes, moving on, sometimes it’s worth the risk.
It shouldn't have been this difficult.

All Ryan wanted was to leave his ex-boyfriend at home and go to his childhood best friend's wedding as a single man. The only problem was that apparently he was the only sane person he knew. His actor ex didn't want their break-up on social media until it would be good PR for him. Meanwhile the bride, and childhood best friend, was so rigorously superstitious about bad omens that the wedding would have been cancelled already if someone hadn't 'seen' an extra magpie at the engagement party.

So Ryan had agreed to keep the break up quiet until after the honeymoon. It did mean he had bring his ex as his plus one to the ceremony, but it would only be a few more weeks. That couldn't hurt.

Only problem is that now Ryan has to try and stop his ex turning their break-up into a soap opera, convince the hottest man he's ever seen that they can kiss without it being cheating…and make sure the bride didn't find out about any of it.

Maybe he needed some of that good luck she was hoarding?
“Oh, you can’t tell her,” Jenny said from the other side of the counter. She shook a plastic bottle of mayo vigorously in one hand. “She will lose her goddamn mind.”

It wasn’t the reaction that Ryan had hoped for. He pulled a dubious face and rubbed the back of his neck.

“It can’t be that bad,” he protested.

Jenny mugged incredulity at him as she flipped the cap of the mayo bottle and turned it upside down. She squeezed a wriggly line of mayo over the curry-yellow chunks of chicken she’d already thrown onto the roll.

“Are you kidding me?” she asked. “You think that your best friend—your astrology symbol tattooed, magpie saluting, psychic consulting BFF—is going to take it in her stride that love is dead?”

She smacked the bottle down to punctuate that and raised her eyebrows expectantly at him for his input.

“OK, no, not when you put it like that,” Ryan said. “But it’s not like that. I just broke up with my boyfriend—”

Jenny wagged a greasy blue-gloved finger at him to stop him there.

“You mean, your soulmate,” she corrected him, with jazz hands for emphasis.

“I do not,” Ryan said. “If he was, I’d not have broken up with him.”

That objection was dismissed with a rude noise. “It’s not about you.”

“I…wow, sorry,” Ryan said. “There’s me thinking it was.”

Jenny shrugged as she grabbed some red onion and tossed it onto the sandwich. Then she took a beat to consider her creation and added some sweetcorn. Ryan started to object but gave it up as the yellow kernels sank into the mayo. He was hungry, and he would rather have unwanted sweetcorn he knew about than one stray left behind to surprise him.

“OK, obviously you think it’s about you,” she said. “From Clem’s point of view, though, it’s about her and her relationship. That psychic saying her and Greg are soulmates is the basis of their relationship.”

“That’s…they love each other,” Ryan objected. “They have weathered so much in their relationship and—”

“Yeah, but only because they’re soulmates,” Jenny said. She picked up the top of the roll and smacked it down on the toppings. “Remember when Greg went to Newcastle to work? Clem told me that the only reason she made it work was because that psychic told her they were endgame.”

“OK, so the psychic was right about her and Greg, but wrong about me and Devon,” Ryan said. “We’re broken up. She’s going to have to come to terms with that eventually.”

“Sure,” Jenny said. Paper crinkled as she pinched, folded, and tucked it around the sandwich. “If you’d broken up, like, six months ago! You can’t drop it on her a week before her wedding, one of the biggest decisions of her life, that the psychic was full of shit. It’s going to look like the worst omen in the world. She will definitely panic and call it all off.”

Shit.
Book Title: Stag Weekend
Length: 45 000 words
Tropes: Forbidden romance, Giveaway the Bride, Lost Wedding Ring, Stag Party
Simon had a plan.

He'd go to his sister's wedding, he'd keep his head down, and the whole family would finally have something other than his disastrously brief engagement to talk about. It was going to be the fact that none of them liked his new brother-in-law, but that wasn't Simon's fault.

It was a simple plan that really couldn't go wrong. Not unless Simon did something really stupid, like wake up the morning after a stag weekend with a stranger in his hotel bed and no idea who it was.

That was the sort of gossip that was hard to beat.

Book Title: Dick Move
Length: 20 000 words
Tropes: Rule of funny, best friend’s ex, ex complications
Themes: Accepting you’re worth more than you think, letting go of an ex, small town romance
When Danny Shaw's ex dumped the job of returning some...personal items...to a short list of his previous conquests on him that seemed like imposition enough. Until he opened the bag and found that the items in question could best be described as extremely intimate and disturbingly detailed.

But when life gives you a bag of hyper-realistic sex toys, modeled after penises your ex knew and admired, what else is there to do but find the biggest dick you know and ask if one of them is his?

Meanwhile, all Will wanted was a quiet night out. Not that he was going to turn down a chance to spend time with Danny, even if it did lead to some weird conversations.

An Island Confidential Novella

Book Title: Wanted – Bad Boyfriend
Length: 76 000 words
Tropes: Fake dating, opposites attract, secrets and lies, small town romance.
His mother. His best friend. The barmaid at the local pub. Everyone is determined to find Nathan Moffatt a boyfriend. It’s the last thing Nathan wants. After spending every day making sure his clients experience nothing but romantic magic, the Granshire Hotel’s wedding organizer just wants to go home, binge-watch crime dramas, and eat pizza in his underwear.

Unfortunately, no one believes him, and he’s stuck with lectures about dying alone. Then inspiration strikes. He needs the people in his life to want him to stay single as much as he does. He needs a bad boyfriend.

There’s only one man for the job.

Flynn Delaney is used to people on the island of Ceremony thinking the worst of him. But he isn’t sure he wants the dubious honor of worst boyfriend on the entire island. On the other hand, if he plays along, he gets to hang out with the gorgeous Nathan and piss off the owners of the Granshire Hotel. It’s a win-win.

There’s only one problem—Flynn’s actually quite a good boyfriend, and now Nathan’s wondering if getting off the sofa occasionally is really the worst thing in the world.
Instead of reviewing all four books all over the post, I decided to put them all in one place. I read them all and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how much I enjoyed the series. My favorite was probably Wanted Bad Boyfriend, but we will get into all of that below. First up is the new release in this series, Bed Hopping.
BED HOPPING

Whew! Let's talk a rollercoaster ride for the characters. LOL. It was fun and at time had me shaking my head and rolling my eyes. It was entertaining and a good read, but there were times when I found myself drifting and scratching my head. Good characters and a great plot, and I found myself wanting more. Almost like it was missing something, but I can't tell you what. I did like it though and give it 4 stars.
STAG WEEKEND

Let me just say this. I love Simon. And all the antics at the wedding...OH MY!! This one will have you laughing, cringing, and everything in between but in the best way possible. It is really good, and I loved the characters in this one. Must read! 4.5 stars.
DICK MOVE

I loved the idea of the book, and there were times when I laughed very loud. Especially the ending. Loved it. But there were a lot of things in this one that made it harder to follow. It felt rushed and not as developed as the other books in this series. I still liked the book and do recommend reading it though. 3.5 stars.
WANTED - BAD BOYFRIEND

I think this one is my favorite of the series. The characters pull you in and you become invested in their story. And there are some things in this book that will grasping for your imaginary pearls. Revelations that will have you turning the page faster than a Nascar lap. There were a few times when it felt like it was repetitive or dragged, but those were few and far between. The character development and the story was a steady progression that draws you in and leaves you wanting more. So good. 4.5 stars and you need this one in your collection!

THE JAGGED SHORES SERIES

https://lilygblunt.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/book-1.jpg

Book 1: North Point

Will an idyllic summer holiday lead Arnie to the love of his life, or the end of it?

It should be the start of a perfect vacation. After a period of stress, Arnie Walker takes his nine-year-old son AJ home for the holidays. Arnie grew up in Nyemouth, a picturesque fishing town on the North-East coast of England, and he wants AJ to experience the kind of carefree, endless summer he enjoyed as a boy. It’s a short-lived dream. While taking an evening walk along the North Point cliff, Arnie and AJ witness a murder attempt.

For the volunteer crew of Nyemouth Lifeboat Station, it’s a rescue mission like none before, Helmsman Dominic Melton is part of the team who rescue the victim from the deadly North Sea. When Arnie and Dominic come together in the aftermath of the attack, the attraction is instant. Arnie isn’t looking for a relationship. He’s committed to his son’s well-being and has no time for a distraction like Dominic, even though the handsome ex-naval officer is hard to dismiss. Is it possible for Arnie to fulfill his promises to AJ while falling for Dominic?

Despite the distraction, a fledgling killer remains at large. As feelings between Arnie and Dominic develop, so does the danger they are in. North Point may be a beautiful place to fall in love, but it could also be the most dangerous.

Book 2: Safe Harbour

https://books2read.com/u/mvoLJ2

Two lovers seek shelter in a storm of jealousy and passion

Matt arrives in the seaside town of Nyemouth for a much-needed vacation. As a successful lawyer, Matt has a hectic career, and with an ex-husband still pestering him for money, he is long overdue a break. A holiday home perched above the town and its breath-taking harbour seems like the perfect place to unwind. Matt can’t wait to explore the beautiful, jagged shorelines and lose himself for a couple of weeks.

Jake has made a home in Nyemouth. After growing up in the city, living on the coast is everything to him. Running a business with his sister and volunteering on the crew of the local lifeboat, he is exactly where he wants to be. But Jake’s life is far from peaceful. Though he left his domineering husband Vince a year ago, Vince refuses to consent to a divorce or loosen his controlling hold on Jake.

On Matt’s first night in town, he encounters the couple having a blazing row. When Vince turns violent, Matt intervenes and takes Jake inside to escape his angry ex. Despite what happened, Matt feels a powerful attraction to the younger man. Jake is bright, endearing and unbelievably attractive, but the young man’s life is complicated. Matt already has enough problems of his own. He came away looking for an escape, not a starry-eyed distraction. As Matt and Jake get to know each other better, the gamble on a holiday romance becomes hard for either of them to resist. They have both been unlucky in love before. Maybe this time will be different.

Vince will not be shaken off so easily. He has no intention of letting Jake go…ever. As Matt’s and Jake’s emotions deepen, they do not understand how far Vince will take things to keep his husband. As far as Vince is concerned, they made a vow to each other… “till death do us part.”

Book 3: Deep Waters

https://books2read.com/u/38PP5d

In search of a story, he found murder and romance.

Author Christian Costner is researching material for one of his dark thrillers and Nyemouth seems like the perfect setting for his next book. The small seaside town has witnessed plenty of trouble over the years, and Christian thinks it will provide him with the inspiration he needs.

He hires local tour guide and fisherman Harry Renner to help him explore the coastline for a couple of days. Harry is knowledgeable and mature beyond his twenty-eight years. Handsome too, though Christian thinks Harry is far too young for him..

As the weather worsens, Harry cuts short their first sight-seeing trip. Heading back to shore they spot a figure in distress in the water. A difficult rescue is made far worse when they discover the casualty has a knife wound to his abdomen and dies before they reach the safety of the harbour.

United by the trauma, Christian and Harry find comfort in each other, but when another murder comes to light, they find themselves at the heart of a dangerous mystery and the target of a killer more ruthless than they could ever imagine.

Danger comes in the cold of morning

It should be the perfect weekend away. Dalton Caine makes the long journey to Nyemouth to attend a party hosted by his sister. Catherine is estranged from most of the family, but Dalton feels the time has come to build bridges between them. Things don’t turn out how he wants, however, when Catherine gives him a cold reception at the party. But the evening is not a complete waste of time when he meets local photographer Antoni.

Following a near-fatal attack six months earlier, Antoni has struggled with his physical and mental recovery. Catherine’s party is the first time he has been out at night since then, and he’s ready for an early exit when he meets Dalton. The stranger is warm, friendly and incredibly handsome. When Antoni overcomes his reservations and accepts a drink at Dalton’s hotel, it could be the start of something new for them both.

Despite the joy of fresh romance, things soon take a darker turn. The morning after the party, Catherine’s boyfriend reports her missing. Dalton isn’t initially concerned. Catherine has disappeared of her own will before, and he’s more interested in getting to know Antoni, but the men soon find themselves at the centre of a twisted mystery, one that puts both of their lives at risk.

Reader advisory: This book contains violence, murder, PTSD, memories of a child in danger and mental illness. Although it can be read as a stand-alone, this book is best read as part of a series.
