Author: Maria Vickers
Cover Designer: T.E. Black Designs
Release Date: March 17, 2017

Chad Alexander is a playboy that leads a life full of comfort, ease, and fun. With enough women at his beck and call to keep him from getting bored, he doesn’t understand why there is one woman constantly on his mind. She infuriates him, gets under his skin, and makes him desire her more than any other woman he has ever known. He loathes Rayne for the way she treats people she thinks are beneath her. In fact, he wants to teach her a lesson that will leave a lasting impression on her. But when it’s all said and done, why can’t he leave behind the one woman he can’t stand?

Rayne Sampson is a beautiful woman who has men throwing themselves at her feet with one bat of her eyelashes. She is a woman that men write sonnets about, but she isn’t happy. Disgusted by her brother’s new wife, Rayne refuses to accept Emma in her life. Rayne knows that Chad has it out for her, however, she’s decided she’ll be the one teaching the lesson this time. Can she ignore the way her body yearns for his touch long enough to prove her point?

Fighting each other, the passion between them ignites, leaving them both burning. Will they survive “the lesson” Chad sets out to teach her? Or will they both be incinerated before they reach the end of the line?

Sometimes facing defeat is the only way to find yourself redeemed.

Chad

Instead of doing what she told me to do, my smirk grew. “Last I checked, you weren’t my momma.”

“Thank God! If I was your mother, I would drown you in a pool of rubbing alcohol. Lord knows what you have living on you and in you.” Her tongue flew out of her mouth and her face screwed up into a disgusted expression.

“I can feel the love tonight.”

“This isn’t the fucking Lion King and you are not Simba.”

Frowning in confusion, I tilted my head to the side and questioned her, “What the hell are you talking about?”

“Really? Are you going to pretend you don’t throw out lines like that to get inside a girls pants?”

“I don’t need to resort to tricks like that. All I have to do is cock my finger and they all come running.”

Rayne

Narrowing my eyes, I glared at the man—and I used that term loosely—sitting across from me. I had arrived in enough time to witness his obnoxious flirting with the restaurant hostess. I shouldn’t have been surprised, and I couldn’t say that I was per se, but my shock had been more with the fact, he was meeting me while trying to score her.

And now he wanted to try to pull the wool over my eyes? He had a long ways to go before he could ever trip me up. Leaning forward, I crossed my arms on top of the table and spoke slowly so that he would understand me, “The Lion King, that Disney movie?” When he nodded, I continued, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight is one of the songs in that movie. Simba and Nala have been reunited and they are taking a walk in the jungle together.”

“Okay, but it wasn’t my intention to quote that song or movie. And, I will point out that when I’m giving you a line, you will wholeheartedly know it. Just wait, because you never know when I’ll work my magic on you.”

“Puhlease. Save it.”

He chuckled, long and deep, and it felt like the whole room vibrated with that sound. I hated him even more for that. “Honey, eventually, you’ll want what every other girl wants.”

“You mean like Emma wanted you?” I interrupted him before he could go down that dumb ass rabbit hole.

His body fell backwards in his chair. If the furniture didn’t have a back, I could see him falling to the floor. Did that really shock or injure him? It shouldn’t have. My brother told me himself what had happened between Chad and Emma. Unlucky for me, the bitch chose my brother instead of the player across from me. Fuck my life.

“Harsh,” he muttered.

“Truth,” I retorted uncaringly.

Leaning forward again, his own eyes narrowed and started me down, studying me, watching and waiting for me to make a move. “Why are you here, Rayne?”

“Why did you call and invite me? I just figured I could get some free alcohol off of you.”

“Well then, by all means, let’s start off with a shot. Tequila?” He quirked an eyebrow upwards, daring me to tell him “no.”

I hated tequila. If there was one shot that had the potential to get me drunk fast, to make me spill my secrets, it was that damn drink. Jose was definitely not a friend of mine. “Fine with me.” I prayed that his tolerance was shit and would be as low as mine. If not, I could easily find myself screwed.

❤✨ From the Author ✨ ❤

Life is about what you make of it. You have to live it to the fullest no matter the circumstances.

I have always loved books. Not only creating the stories, but reading them as well. Books transport me, and when I was younger, I would run into walls because I refused to put my books down even for a second. Take note, walking with books is not advised. LOL.

With my books, I just want to share my stories with the world. I want others to be transported or to feel the emotions my characters feel. That is my goal with my writing. If I can do that for one person, I succeeded.

Getting sick changed me and my life, but it also opened doors that I thought were closed. Today, even though I cannot do much, I still have my mind and I can write.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: The Wanderer by Dahlia Donovan

Title: The Wanderer
Series: The Sin Bin, Book 1
Genre: Gay Romance
Release Date: April 8, 2017

Graham Hodson lives for adventure. His entire life has revolved around his obsessive wanderlust. His inner fear of staying in one place or being with one person for too long has kept him on the go. The last thing he expects is a sudden diagnosis to ground his travel—permanently.

Boyce “BC” Brooks has screwed up his lifelong dream of being the captain of the English national rugby team. He’s lost everything. When his uncle leaves him an inn and a dog in Cornwall, he has little choice but to try his hand at innkeeper.

Can two jokesters kicked around by life and their own decisions find stability when their world shakes beneath their feet?
Start at the Beginning
by Dahlia Donovan

I love the first paragraphs of The Wanderer.

From the prologue:

Weddings were a pain more excruciating than a broken nose, or tooth, or both—an event to be avoided when at all possible. Only the blissfully ignorant would voluntarily submit themselves to the farce of “marital bliss,” never mind the noise, whimpering women, and a priest who would undoubtedly drone on and on unless someone whacked him upside the head.
Why did I agree to this shit? If this bint sobs into my sleeve one more sodding time, I’ll shove her into the aisle, manners be damned. I should’ve claimed a sudden bout of dengue fever in Macau and been done with it.

It still makes me giggle months after I first wrote it.

The first few sentences manage to bring Graham’s sarcasm, mood, and philosophy on life into sharp focus. He’s not interested in love or demonstrations of it. Commitment is way down on the list of things he wants to have.

In so many areas of his life, Graham could be considered completely fearless. Not in love. He’s a cowardly lion when it comes to relationships. He’s a man who has made one massive mistake and refuses to try again.

A cowardly ginger lion.

The first paragraph makes me laugh because I know what’s to come for him. Graham finds in The Wanderer how much courage he actually has. He learns, I think, how to love—and be loved. It’s not perfect, but he doesn’t need it to be.

After all, perfection is boring.

Dahlia Donovan blew my mind with this one.

The Wanderer is an emotionally gripping journey of a nomadic soul who spends his days traveling the world and effectively running from love.

When he stumbles across BC, Graham quickly finds someone worth giving up his heart again.

But love is not without heartache.

I cried throughout parts of this book and fell so madly in love with BC who more than exemplified the meaning of unconditional love.

You have to one click this one today. I promise you it's worth it.
Have the tissues ready everyone because you are going to need them. I'm going to let you in on a little secret, right now I both love and hate Dahlia Donovan for her book the Wanderer. I just...wow. I had to keep putting it down so that I could ball my eyes out. The feels and the raw emotions that you feel while reading this book will have you reeling long after you finish it. I can't say enough about this book. I will warn you though that it can be a difficult read due to the subject matter of someone fighting a battle with a horrible disease. However, if you can read it, it is well worth it and I highly recommend it.

Graham travels the world and writes about his adventures. He's not looking for love, but even he can't hide the fact he feels an attraction that scares him toward BC, the man he hooked up with in a closet at a friend's wedding. That aside, he doesn't want love to complicate his life, however, he is about to get some news that will shock his life, and as much as he doesn't want to depend on anyone, he realizes that he needs BC.

BC is a rugby player that had been let go from the team. Butt hurt and bitter from that, the one bright spot in his dreary life is meeting Graham. Now if only he could convince Graham to give them a shot. That said, fear has a way of bringing people together.

The feels, the characters, the story...you have to read this one. It will break your heart, but if you stick it out, it will put the pieces back together. The characters are realistic, their reactions are perfect and not too over the top or unbelievable. And the story itself is so well written that I had a hard time believing it wasn't real. Pick it up today. 5 stars!

Dahlia Donovan wrote her first romance series after a crazy dream about shifters and damsels in distress. She prefers irreverent humour and unconventional characters. An autistic and occasional hermit, her life wouldn’t be complete without her husband and her massive collection of books and video games.
