Blog Tour: Indestructible by Angela Graham

Love. Passion. Respect.
Logan West finally has the one thing he believed unattainable: the fiery woman who challenges, protects, and adores him just as much as she does his young son, Oliver.
After having her world shaken yet again, Cassandra Clarke is ready to move forward, eagerly embracing the beautiful man who has laid claim to her heart. With secrets revealed at every turn, she refuses to lose the only man she’s ever loved.
Not every battle is hers to fight, but she’s never been one to back down. Logan and Oliver are part of her now, and together they are…indestructible.
Book 3 in The Harmony Series with no cliffhanger.

The waitress looked to Hilary, who was staring past all of us. “I’ll be right back.”
She was up instantly and heading across the bar, where Caleb stood, his eyes on her. I scanned the room, my nerves spiking. Did Logan come with him?
“I don’t see him,” Natasha said.
“What?”
“Logan. I don’t think he’s here.”
“Right. Doesn’t matter. He knows it’s a girls’ night.” I peeked again in the direction of Caleb to find him and Hilary gone.
“Caleb seems like a friendly guy. Good to Oliver, from what I hear,” Natasha said, turning to face me.
The waitress appeared with our drinks, stunning me at how quick she was. “Anything else?” she asked.
“No, thanks.” I lifted my glass and took a sip before turning my attention back to Natasha. “Caleb loves Oliver. He considers him family.”
“I want Oliver to have a lot of good role models in his life, Cassandra. I don’t know much about Caleb, but I do know if he’s close to my son, I’ll be getting to know him better as well.”
I said nothing and took another sip—a bigger one this time, draining nearly half the glass. Hilary would have a real problem with Natasha cozying up to Caleb, even in the interest of Oliver. Hilary wasn’t one to trust easily, and Natasha wasn’t exactly easily trusted.
“I’ve known him most of my life,” I told her. “He’s a good guy. No need to worry.”
“That possessive, irritating, gorgeous man is gonna drive me crazy!” Hilary growled, slipping back into her side of the booth. “Seriously, can you believe him?”
“Is he still here?” I followed her penetrating stare and spotted Caleb watching us as he maneuvered toward the door.
“He’s leaving. Said he only stopped in to pick up some paperwork. I call bullshit! That bouncer called him, and he just had to come and check on me.”
“I think it’s sweet.” I smiled. “And it’s not like he’s standing here hounding you. He left, didn’t he?”
A slow smile brightened her face. “Yeah. Damn it, he is sweet.”
“Or has a guilty conscience. You know, those that cheat worry others will too,” Natasha blurted out.
My head snapped her way, my jaw dropping. I started as she continued as if she hadn't just slapped Hilary in the face.
“I’m just saying—he’s hot and he’s been around the scene. I’d be careful.”
I shifted my gaze to Hilary, aware she was struggling to keep her claws sheathed.
“Caleb isn’t cheating on me, I assure you.”
Natasha frowned. “I’m sorry. That was a shitty thing for me to say. I didn’t mean it to come out that way.”
“Right.” Hilary sipped the juice in front of her.

Indestructible by Angela Graham was the perfect ending to Logan and Cassie's story.  I couldn't have asked for more and I am so glad that although it was an almost extremely long road to get there, they had their happily ever after, despite every single road block that was thrown in their way.  This book was a 4 star read for me and I highly recommend this series!  You will fall in love with Logan West even more than you already have, you will smile at Oliver and how cute he is and you will laugh at the craziness that is Jax, Hailey and Julia.

The story picks up with the attack on Cassie in her home by Kurt and it is that event that fuels many of the emotions and decisions by each character throughout the rest of the story.  Kurt is thrown to jail, and Logan vows to do anything in his power to ensure that he remains there forever.  Logan tells Cassie that he will do anything for her and you can feel that love through each of his actions throughout the story.  It will be that vow to keep Cassie safe that will end up almost ruining their relationship later in the story.

Cassie struggles with her feelings for Logan again in this book but in a completely different way from the others.  It actually helps the reader relate to her on a deeper level, because you can actually find yourself saying, I would have reacted the same way.  Cassie stays with Logan and Oliver while she is recovering and her house is being repaired.  But she knows that it is too soon for them to be "living" together.  But each day she spends with Logan and Oliver, doing simple things like talking about their day, making breakfast or putting Oliver to bed makes her love grow for the West boys even more.

Natasha, who is Oliver's mother, becomes a huge character in this book, and the reader finds her at the center of many situations that raise questions as to what her motives actually are.  Does Natasha really just want to be a part of her son's life or does she have another reason for her reappearance?  Did she finally give up on trying to get Logan back and move on?  Does she really want to try to be friends with Cassie?  The answers to these questions and many more are answered in the final chapters of the book and to say I was pleasantly surprised at how everything played out would be an understatement.  I am hoping that we hear more in the future from the occupants of Harmony Lake because I know that I can't get enough of them.

Indestructible is the 3rd and final book in the Harmony Series.  It was a great ending to Cassandra and Logan's love story. The first book Inevitable you get to see how Cassandra and Logan meet and try to stay away from eachother.. but Oliver Logan's son will pull them together..but of course it won't last and in comes the second book Irreplaceable where you will get more hot steam and romance but also a lot of regret and hurt too.  When things start to piece back together tragedy will strike at the end of the second book and that is where Indestructible picks up.  Indulge is a prequel Novella of Logan's life before he met Cassandra and gives you more of an insight into his life.  This book as I said above was a great ending to this twisted love story and yes you finally get there HEA but it will not come easy.  I would rate it a 4 star.  I would recommend this series to all my book friends.

Logan and Cassandra have had there ups and downs and this book will not be any different.  After Cassandras attack she feels lost and doesn't want Logan to have to take care of her especially with him having to deal with his son Oliver.  She has to find herself again, the nightmares won't go away but slowly she will pick up the pieces but ultimately it makes her wonder if she can truly be in a relationship with Logan and bring him down with her.  When her attacker is put in jail and suddenly dies she has to question who other than her would have motive and could Logan have anything to do with it?

I needed to work all fragments of Kurt from my system-- prove to Logan and myself that I could move forward, and that I was still the woman I was before.  NO more nightmares.-- CASSANDRA

Logan is determined to fight for her.  When his ex still tries to come back in his life and get close to Oliver he will have to put up everything he has for this fight for Cassandra because he feels like he is slowly loosing her again.  When Kurt mysteriously comes up dead in Jail, Logan becomes a suspect and he feels like his life is falling apart.  He wants to just pick up there pieces and live happily ever after with Oliver and Cassandra.  He will have the fight of his life... will he win out in the end?

"I promise you, Cassandra, I will fight with everything I have to make you happy.  You're still the same girl I watched leap over that puddle, so carefree.  You've dealt with more than your fair share, we both know that, but I'll make things right.  And you have my word:  You'll never have to fear that monster again."  His voice hardened.  "Nobody will ever hurt you again."-- LOGAN

Go get this series now you will not be disappointed.  This was the first books I have read by this author and look forward to much more in the future!  Thanks for a great series Angela Graham I have become a huge fan!

Blog Tour: Why It's Called Falling by Leslie Stephens

Having written off men after being burned too many times, twenty-two-year-old Aspen Williams is ready to finish college and start living her life. She and her best friend head south of the border to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for their dream vacation. This vacation was to be all about sun, fun and girl time … or so she thought. A chance encounter puts her directly in the path of Hollywood’s hottest leading man, Ryan Lark.

Hollywood stars shine brightly and Ryan Lark is no exception. He is an all-American boy wrapped up in a body made for sin with a face that defined beautiful masculinity. What you don’t see through the glare of the movie screen is a gentle and tender man whose heart and soul have been burned by the very same lights that made him who he is.

In true Hollywood fashion, sparks fly between Aspen and Ryan. Even though she tries not to, Aspen falls fast and hard with hopes that Ryan feels the same way. But she learns the brutal truth of why it’s called falling in love.

With more on the line than they both bargained for, will their final scene be a happily ever after?

Why It's Called Falling was a whirlwind romance.  I would give this book a 3.5 stars.  I do like this story it just didn't pull me in to where I truly fell in love with it.  That would be the only reason I couldn't rate it higher.  It did have a good story line and the author had great a writing style.  This is told in dual POV's of Aspen and Ryan.  It does have an HEA but not an easy one.  I would definitely read more from this author and suggest this book to friends.

Aspen is on vacation in Mexico and is truly excited because she finally got her parents to agree to let her go.  She is there with her best friend and they are set out to have a fantastic time sitting by pool and drinking and partying.  What she didn't expect was to be trapped on an elevator with the famous movie star Ryan Lark.  He was even more sexy in person and the one thing she realizes very fast is that he isn't arrogant like the tabloids made him out to be.  When they start to make plans to hang out the chemistry between them will explode and neither will be able to not fall in love over there 2 weeks of paradise.  But with love comes consequences and Aspen will find out that even though they love eachother sometimes it just isn't enough.  She is simple college student and he is a movie star it would never work in the real world.  Will there romance end in Mexico... Or will a twist of fate bring them together?  Or will choice make it impossible for them to be together again?

Unfortunately, now I understand why it's called falling in love. One minute it felt like free falling into your own piece of heaven on earth, and the next minute you were crash landing from that same fall-- ASPEN

Ryan is the famous movie star and he finally gets a couple weeks off and decides to go to Mexico.  He is there with his 2 best friends and they all plan to just lay low and have a great time.... maybe a hook up or two but nothing serious.  But when Aspen comes out of no where and doesn't fawn all over him like most woman do, he gets intrigued and has to know more about her.  When there chemistry explodes Ryan knows in his heart that he is falling for this girl..but he also knows that he has a career that needs to be top priority not a romance.. he has been there before and it nearly destroyed the woman he loved before and he refuses to bring another love into his crazy world.  So he chooses to end things when they leave Mexico... but with twists and turns and maybe fate will he see her again?  Will the secret she kept from him pull him closer or tear them apart?

"I don't think you understand how fucking awesome I think you are.  No pretense. No bullshit.  You make me believe that ever after might be possible and you do it without ever trying."-- RYAN

Can these 2 realize that even though they have separate lives that they can find a way to make it work?  Or will too much time pass and too many secrets hold them back?  YOU will need to one-click to find out!!!

Thanks for a good story and I do look forward to more from this author!

Blog Tour: Consensual by Livia Jamerlan

Braelynn Wolf is focused on two things: work and law school.

That is how she survives.
That is how she’ll make a difference.

Until she meets HIM.

Peyton Haas is sexy, dangerous, and forbidden. The defense attorney on Braelynn’s first legal case is the only man who can cloud her judgment. Unable to stay away, she finds herself lying to everyone around her so she can spend time with the man who makes her feel things she never felt before—things she never dreamed possible.

With the legal case hanging on a thread, can Braelynn ignore the relationship she has built with Peyton?

Or will she succumb to the man who has the power to throw away her future?

The bar was crowded, so I scooted between two men who had their backs to each other and waited to get the bartender’s attention. She patrolled the bar, pouring a few drinks before she headed my way. Then she passed right by me and started talking to the gentleman next to me, never once looking in my direction. I looked down at his full drink; he didn’t need anything from her.
Seriously?
He wore perfectly tailored designer suit pants which hugged his ass and sculpted legs. His fitted, light gray shirt wrapped around his trim torso and arms like it was custom-made. He was tall and handsome, from the side at least, and totally fuckable. He looks like the kind of guy who'd give me that up-all-night-making-my-body-ache-so-I-can-no-longer-walk-the-next-day kind of sex.
Wow. I seriously need to get laid.
I closed my eyes for a brief second as I tried to calm my raging hormones. When I reopened them, he was staring right back at me.
Fuck me.
He wasn’t sexy. No, that word wasn’t enough to describe what this man was. He was an alluring come-hitter, as Kennedy would call him—guaranteed to make you come every time he hit it. It was dark so his facial features were hard to make out, but from his strong jawline I could tell he looked manly. He smiled, and as the light at Quay changed, I noticed his hazel eyes scanning me from head to toe. My body ignited with desire.
“May I buy you a drink?” he offered. His velvet voice would make any girl melt.
I inhaled deeply, trying to calm my rapid pulse. “No, thanks. I’ve got it as soon as someone starts doing their job.” I locked my eyes on the pink-haired bartender.
Completely oblivious to anyone at the bar who didn’t have a penis between their legs, she walked away when a guy across the bar shouted for her. Sighing, I waited impatiently.
“Let me buy you a drink,” he insisted. “What do you want? Long Island or sex on the beach?”
Really? Was this sex on a stick seriously trying to pick me up when minutes before he was flirting with the bartender? Who did this guy think he was, with his fancy clothes and preconceived notions about a woman’s taste in alcohol? Did he assume every girl drank only those two drinks? I had planned on getting a Long Island, but based on his assumption and arrogance, I decided to make a statement and order something over-the-top.
“Since you insist, I’ll have a Louis the thirteenth.” I met his eyes in challenge, puckering my lips as I waited for his response.
His eyebrow rose and a smirk appeared on his face. “Interesting.” The word poured out of his mouth like silk. I shrugged my shoulders, affecting nonchalance as he took another moment to study me. Calling over to the bartender—who jumped when she heard his voice—he ordered my drink.
“What’s your name, beautiful?” he asked, moving his body closer to mine. I laughed before I shook my head at him. “I just bought you a drink. The least you could do is give me your name.”
“The least, huh?”
“Yes, the least. I want to make sure I know the name of the woman who’s going home with me later.”
When the bartender slid the drink in front of him, I reached across and grabbed the snifter. His eyes locked with mine, but I didn’t say anything. I just lifted my eyebrow, smirked, and walked away. If he was expecting a quick fuck as a thank you, he wasn’t getting it from me.
Asshole.
I didn’t care how scorchingly yummy he was, I refused to be added to his list of drooling girls.

"I couldn't find it in me to be angry.  When he was near, I couldn't make my body move in any other direction but toward him.  Even so, I knew that if I didn't stop playing with fire, he would be my downfall."

Consenual by Livia Jamerlan is a book about needed more to life then just a career, that sometimes in order to feel alive, you need a passion to be stirred up within your soul and to let it free, no matter what the consequences may be.  Consenual follows Braelynn Wolf and her journey to accept the firery passion that Haas gives her in the bedroom, a passion that makes her feel alive, and even when she knows it could be her undoing, a passion that she can't walk away from.  I give this book 3.5 stars and would recommend it to others.  Beware of the hot bdsm-type sex scenes, but really who can resist reading about a hot, sexy lawyer named Peyton who can be both demanding and soft and gentle at the same time?  I know that I sure can't.

Determined to be better than the childhood that her older sister tore her away from, Braelynn Wolf has worked hard her entire life, with one goal; to be a successful lawyer.  Earning the coveted internship at her professor's law firm, Brae is on her way to having everything that she wants in life with no distractions, that is until she accompanies her friends for a night of clubbing, where she meets the illustrious Haas.  A series of misunderstandings cause her to walk away from a one-night stand with him that she wants more then her next breath, and once she meets him again by chance across the conference room table, all bets are off.

"Yeah, right!  I don't chase them; I replace them.

Peyton Haas has relationships with woman that are anything but orthodox.  With a penchant for control in the bedroom and submission from his partner, he separates himself into two different personas; Peyton and Haas.  It is only when he meets Brae that all of the rules that he has put in place for himself are thrown out the window.  He wants her more than for a night or two and he definitely wants her for more than just some steaming hot sex.  But he isn't sure if changing his ways is the right thing for him at this point in his life.

"Turning toward me, she laid her head on my chest and wrapped her arms around my torso.  Holding her felt great.  It felt like....like I was fucking screwed."

Being on opposing sides of a case was holding Brae back from becoming further involved with Peyton and she was warned what it could do to her career by her friends on more then one occasion.  Unfortunately when it came to Haas and what he made her feel when they were together; she was unable to resist him and basically pretended that the serious nature of being caught in a relationship with the opposing counsel would cause.

The back and forth with these characters was sometimes funny and sometimes crude, but I enjoyed every minute of it because the banter was so realistic to me.  My only issue with the book was some of the sex scenes, as they reminded me of another book slightly; but I was able to look past that in the end while getting to the heart of this story and I know that other readers can do the same.  The cliff hanger at the end was something that I hadn't expected and it has me hooked and ready to read book 2!

I was very pleasantly surprised by Consensual by Livia Jamerlan.  The synopsis grabbed my attention and I thought... sure… I’ll take a crack at this one.  Wooza… I was not expecting the hotness factor to be off the charts!  Like I need a cigarette and I don’t smoke hot!  Ms. Jamerlan just drew me into the story and never released me.  There were times I thought the story would get a bit cliché but overall I really enjoyed it.  I did not know this was a series going in so when I got the ending I was like, ummmm… excuse me…. I think I’m missing pages!!  But the ending was a bad cliffy.  You just know their story isn’t over.  The story is told in dual POV.

Braelynn is a hardworking law student doing housekeeping jobs on the side to get her way through school.  Her parents passed away when she was young, she was raised by her older sister how has sacrificed so much to get them where they are now.  She just accepted her dream internship at her professor’s law firm and given her first case to brief.  Little did she know the opposing lawyer would be the uber hot and sexy Peyton Haas who she had met a couple of nights prior at a club.

“He was out of my league.  He smelled like forbidden fruit- the kind you bite into and then let the succulent juices slide down the side of your mouth.”

Haas knew he wanted her but Braelynn doesn’t do one night stands.  The chemistry between them is off the charts!  She is torn between her heart and her responsibility.   She is drawn to him and him to her.  Even though they know being together is a huge conflict of interest and can cause Braelynn her internship, they cannot fight the feeling of when they are together.

“When he was near, I couldn’t make my body move in any other direction but toward him.  Even so, I knew that if I didn’t stop playing with fire, he could be my downfall.  But God, do I yearn to get burned.”

When Braelynn starts to uncover the past of the defendant in the lawsuit, she doesn’t realize how dangerous this man is and works harder to try to piece together his past discretions.   When a woman comes forward and agrees to testify against him, Braelynn life is put in danger.  What happens next had me turning the pages of my kindle and I needed to get to the end.  What will happen with Braelynn and Haas relationship?  Will the case break the apart or bring them closer together.  It will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the 2ndbook.  Without the hotness factor I probably would have rated the story at 3.5 stars, but the hot hot hot scenes bumps it up to a 4 star.

Livia Jamerlan is a hopeless romantic she is always looking for her next love story to pop in her head. Though Livia kept a journal throughout her early life, she never thought about pursuing a career in writing, she always used it as form of therapy, pouring her heart out into words. It wasn’t until a story developed in her head that she decided that maybe she could write a book. At first it was just an escape from reality but now she use it as a power to put all her feelings, hopes, and fears on paper. Deciding it was time to tell her story she began to write, with each passing day the story grew, characters we formed, and what seemed like a hobby at first has now become a passion for Livia.

When Livia is not writing she is spending time with her husband and their two dogs, she might also be curled up with a new book, or she is out traveling the country to support indie authors at their book signings.
