Can a hotshot snowboarder de-ice the ice queen? At twenty-six, Blake Tremblay is one of the oldest snowboarders in the game. His sights are set on the gold medal, and he knows it’s now or never. Kelly Johnson has spent her entire life skating and winning. She’s had no time for friends or an active social life, earning her the nickname “Ice Queen” – in and out of the rink. Blake makes a bet without knowing all the terms.

His ego won’t let him back out, even though his target is none other than the American Ice Queen herself. What are the odds the dreadlocked playboy can warm the frosty figure skater when the real games are unmasked? Let The Games Begin.

I wasn’t a big drinker. Ever. And I had no idea how many bottles of alcohol Blake, and I had gone through. Or when he got so funny. Maybe it was the accent. It was a mixture of sort-of-kind-of-french and northern Minnesotan, which I guess was basically Canada. But when he spoke he rolled his Rs like a French man, and I couldn’t help but stare at his mouth. And I should have stopped staring or stopped talking after the first glass. Then he just kept filling mine up, and I kept staring, and there we were, me laughing and staring at his beautiful mouth. “You really had a Mohawk for Sochi trials?” I asked, almost spitting out my Soju that was a sugary vodka and supposed to be a very popular drink in Korea. Blake laughed and filled my cup again.

“Yeah. I wanted to stand out. You Americans can’t have all the flair with your blue-haired swimmers.” I pointed at him and leaned on my elbow. “Hey! Those summer guys aren’t the same, and you know it!” He grabbed my hand, and a smirk crossed his face that brought out one small dimple on his cheek. I don’t know if it was the large amounts of alcohol we consumed or that dimpled smile, but all of my body felt flushed, and I was sure my face had to be redder than the Canadian flag. “It’s not nice to point, Miss Johnson. Even an American knows that.” I tried not to focus on how warm and rough his hands were on mine. His whole palm covered my fists, and I briefly wondered how big other things were before quickly shooting that thought out of my head, and pulling my hand away. I didn’t need to think about sex, no matter how long it had been.

This was The Games. Not a time for romance or lust. “I wanna see a Mohawk picture. Come on; I know you’ve got one on your phone.” “Only if you show me one of yours pictures. I’m sure you have some from your early days of skating. The American costumes in the nineties weren’t exactly some of your proudest moments. Or at least that’s what your movies showed me.” He raised an eyebrow before taking a sip of his drink, which was more like a giant gulp. Gathering some courage, I poured the rest of the bottle in his glass. “I don’t even know what I have on my phone. Nothing exciting. No 1980s scrunchies or poofy sleeved leotards.” He laughed. “I’m sure you’ve got something. Now show me yours, and I’ll show you mine.”
Magan Vernon has been living off of reader tears since she wrote her first short story in 2004. She now spends her time killing off fictional characters, pretending to plot while she really just watches Netflix, and she tries to do this all while her two young children run amok around her Texas ranch.

I lost my job, got drunk and confessed my deepest, darkest secret.

One I’ve kept for years.

I want my husband. And his best friend.

Dirty, slutty thoughts of them taking me at the same time fill my fantasies.

Nothing’s been the same since that night.

I worry my confession might cost me everything, including my husband.

I love my wife more than anything. There's nothing I won't do to make her happy.

Until I hear Wesley Smith's name slip out of her mouth.

She wants to have sex with him. And me.

Images of the three of us play in a hot, sweaty loop in my mind.

My brain isn’t the only part of me turned on by these scandalous images.

My body yearns for it.

She says it’s what she wants. Now I want it to.

I should say no.

Can I handle sharing my wife with my best friend?

Blog Tour, Giveaway & Review: Superhero Syndrome by Caryn Larrinaga

Today we have the blog tour for Superhero Syndrome by Caryn Larrinaga!

Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!
Title: Superhero Syndrome
Author: Caryn Larrinaga
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Tess McBray was dying. The Solstice Syndrome had no cure, and she resigned herself to an early grave. But just when she gave up on survival, all her symptoms mysteriously disappeared. All but one symptom, anyway. Something is wrong with Tess’s hands. They absorb any material they touch, and her skin turns to wood, or steel, or concrete. It doesn’t take this comic-book obsessed 21-year-old long to figure out what’s going on: somehow, she’s developed super powers. And she’s not the only one; across the country, people are coming forward and sharing their gifts with the world.

In her own city, where the police are battling a human trafficking operation, a masked vigilante called The Fox is saving lives and stopping criminals. Tess doesn’t know where she fits into this new, super-powered world. But when people around her start disappearing, she can’t just sit on the sidelines. Teaming up with The Fox might be the only way to rid her city of evil and save the people she loves most.
I don't even know where to begin with this review. This book was amazing and worth all 5 stars. The plot was interesting, intriguing, and different from other books like this. On top of a great story, were the characters that fueled it. I couldn't put it down and I highly recommend you one click this book today.

Tess was ready to die. The Solstice Syndrome had no cure and hers was progressing at an alarming rate, but something happened, she didn't die. In fact, she wound up having special powers. Now she has to save her town, her sister, and find out all she can about her new powers and the vigilante The Fox. I don't want to say too much and give anything away. But this is a must read!!

Caryn Larrinaga is a Basque-American mystery, horror, and urban fantasy writer living in Utah with her husband and cats. Her debut novel Donn’s Hill (March 2017, Immortal Works Press) garnered rave reviews from fans of the cozy mystery and paranormal genres, and her new urban fantasy Superhero Syndrome (September 2017, Twisted Tree Press) will be out this fall. Watching scary movies through split fingers terrified Caryn as a child, and those nightmares inspire her to write now.

She lives in a 90-year-old house with a colorful history, and the creaking walls and narrow hallways send her running (never walking) up the stairs from her basement. Exploring her fears through writing makes Caryn feel a little less foolish for wanting a buddy to accompany her into the tool shed. When her fingers aren't glued to her laptop keyboard, Caryn also enjoys binge-watching Netflix with her husband, reading, playing video games, and filling up her phone's flash memory with pictures of her cats. She loves music and plays the bass guitar. Caryn is an active member of the League of Utah Writers and the Utah Chapter of the Horror Writers Association.

Release Blitz, Giveaway & Reviews: Mad Love by Shana Vanterpool

Title: Mad Love
Series: Guns & Ink Series #1
Author: Shana Vanterpool
Genre: NA Romance/Contemporary
Release Date: September 25, 2017 Publisher: Swoon Romance
She was a disruption he never wanted.

He was everything she distrusted.

Klayton Caldwell owns a tattoo shop in Denver, Colorado, and has seen just about everything and met just about every kind of person. And they all have one thing in common. Ink.

He isn’t complicated. What you see is what you get. Sex? Always. Relationships? Never. Pleasantries? He doesn’t do that either. Those who can’t handle his mouth get inked elsewhere. Klayton holds everyone at a distance, even his friends. He doesn’t do “close.”

Until Madison ends up in his tattoo parlor, broken, afraid and alone. There’s something about her, and almost immediately, Klayton’s guard drops. Now, everything he knows about himself changes as his life begins to unravel.

Twenty-year-old Madison Hart’s future was taken from her the moment she was abducted from her college campus and held captive by a sicko. After escaping, she flees, running into a stranger. A stranger who shares a similar past. Someone who might be able to help her heal. If she’ll let him.

Madi comes into Klayton’s life like a storm. She’s beautiful. Pitiful. Dangerous. Her pain runs deep enough that she may never be able to talk about what she’s experienced. Her refusal to talk takes a level of patience Klayton’s not sure he has.

He must navigate her broken pieces by changing everything he is. Who he’s been all these years won’t work anymore. But Madi fights him, she fights herself. She fights the madness.

She refuses to talk. He can’t control his mouth. She doesn’t want to be touched. He can’t help himself. They don’t want love. Inside this storm, is a love so mad it might destroy them both.

MAD LOVE is book 1 in the Guns & Ink series from Shana Vanterpool. Look for the rest of the Guns & Ink series coming soon from Swoon Romance.
Book #2 Hard Love - Cat and Brando
Book #3 Bad Love - Isaiah & Bell

Mad Love is the first book in the Gun's & Ink Series. Ok so this author has become a go to author for me, it seems everything she has published has ignited some kind of spark in my mind and heart. I would go as far as saying she is a phone book author- for those that don't know what I mean they can write a phone book and I would read it and thoroughly enjoy it! I would give this book a 4.5 stars and highly recommend to others.

Madison the heroine in this story.. my heart felt for her.. Shana made my heart feel for her.. I could never imagine being in Madison's shoes and having to dig my way back to life... this does have some serious matters in this story but it made this story that much more compelling and inspiring.

Klayton this MAN... Aghh what can I say he stole my heart from the get go.. his bad boy persona never fooled me for a minute.. he will dig down deep and strangle your heart and never let go!

These 2 will deal with struggles... both entering depths of emotions some will never comprehend or understand but with the help of this awesome author you will get it... you will feel it... you will want more!

Get to one clicking... and I CAN'T WAIT for the next book Cat's story Hard Love! You will fall in love with Cat and will want to scream for her to get an HEA! Let's hope her story turns out just as twisty and refined as this one- we know it will! I have no doubt!
Klayton always wanted to be alone. That's how he preferred his life. Until his BFF brought home Madison (Mad).

Mad is so broken. She trusts no one. Until Klayton starts to let her see the real him and she grasps it like her life depends on it. She pulls from his strength to help her get through her nightmare.

They are both broken but somehow their brokenness completes the other.

Seriously - this is a great read and you def need to one click to understand what I mean.

I actually really enjoyed this - I love how she didn't instantly heal the main character. That she would have issues the rest of her life.
I think I have found a new favorite Shana Vanterpool book, and I need book two stat! Mad Love is more intense and emotional that Shana's other work, but there was a great balance and I absolutely loved it.

Madison was abducted from her college campus, and when she escapes she finds solace with a stranger. She is terrified and rightly so. Klayton doesn't do relationships and doesn't want any complications, but Madison does something to him.

This book had it all and more. I loved the story and the plot. And will admit that I smiled at the end. You will have to read it yourself to see what I mean. The characters were complex and you felt their struggles. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend you one click it today. 5 stars.
This is a hard review to write... I love Madi and Klay together, but I had some reservations.

Madi was kidnapped and held hostage for long while. She stumbles into Klay's life and tattoo parlor. Klay reluctantly takes her in and tries to help her. Will he be able to help her?

While the story was very engaging, I had some problems with the characters. Klay was a little bit too much at first. Madi was so broken. Some of the interactions seemed off. However, sticking with it, you see Klay really cares and is sort of broken too. We get glimpses of his backstory, but not a lot. I felt like that could have helped.

Overall, worth the read! 3 1/² stars.

Romance author, coffee drinker, and bad boy aficionado. Every second not spent breathing is an opportunity to write and read. I live in Northern California with my family and actress dog, Halle Bella. (Just Bella when she decides to cut the crap.)
