Release Blitz and Review: Collide by Amanda Shelley

Release Date: June 30
Falling head over heels was the last thing I expected.
Literally.

Coffee is everywhere – and more than my ego is bruised.

When the handsome stranger I plowed into calls me by name, mortification sinks in.

He rushes off to class. I run home to change, hoping to forget the whole incident.

If only I could be so lucky.

I quickly find it’s a small world and Gavin Wallace is completely unavoidable.

Everywhere I turn he’s there. In my classes. Hanging with my friends.

I’ve got his full attention and I have to admit, I like it a lot more than I should.

Alexis (Alex) Manning is finally taking a leap, spreading her wings and heading off to college. She is super goal orientated and often stubborn. So when she collides (literally) into Gavin he throws her off track.

Gavin mostly hangs with friends, never one for casual hookups. So when he is introduced to Alex his attraction is quick and insistent.

But a minor tragedy throws things off track yet brings them closer together.

The blurb to this book looked super promising but fell a bit short for me. The story didn't have the flow that I was looking for. Their relationship, once it took place, went from 0 to 100 quickly. Overall, I liked the idea of this book but it wasn't for me.
Alex and Gavin...Collide doesn't even begin to describe what happened between them. Instant connection, immediate attraction, and a quick love. But things aren't completely smooth. The characters were interesting, however, the story fell a little short for me. It felt almost like it gave me whiplash in areas moving full steam ahead and then slamming on the breaks. It didn't feel fully flushed out. I did like the idea and many parts of the story, but I need more. 3.5 stars.

Genres: Adult, Comedy, Romance

In life, as in gaming, there’s a way around every obstacle . . .

To pitch her new role-playing game at a European conference, developer Sierra Reid needs to overcome her terror of public speaking. What better practice than competing in a local bar’s diary slam, regaling an audience with old journal entries about her completely humiliating college crush on gorgeous Tristan Spencer?

Until the moderator says, “Next up, Tristan Spencer . . .”

Sierra is mortified, but Tristan is flattered. Caught up in memories of her decade-old obsession as they reconnect, Sierra tries to dismiss her growing qualms about him. But it’s not so easy to ignore her deepening friendship with Alfie, the cute, supportive bar owner. She and Alfie were college classmates too, and little by little, Sierra is starting to wonder if she’s been focusing her moves on the wrong target all along, misreading every player’s motivations.

Maybe the only winning strategy is to start playing by her heart . . .

“Relatable, funny, and charming, this gamingesque book delivers laughs and romance in a warm, satisfying bundle.”
–Elly Blake, New York Times bestselling author of Frostblood

“Sexy and delicious.”
–Kristin Wright, author of Lying Beneath the Oaks

“Hmm.” She tapped her finger on her lips. “Everyone’s had a crush on someone, right? It wouldn’t be the most embarrassing revelation in the world. Could you find something like that?”

I thought about it. I really did not want to stand up in front of total strangers—or worse, former classmates—and get laughed at, but Aida was right that an admission of a decade-old crush on a boy in a college class wasn’t the worst thing I might reveal. Besides, everyone had a crush on pretty boy Tristan back in the day. That might work well for this kind of contest.

“Would that be enough to win the prize?” And a guaranteed trip to Germany.

“Why don’t we forget about the prize, okay? I’m more interested in helping you work through your anxiety.”

Right. My forced therapy. “I just don’t see how muscling through one reading will achieve that.”

She bit her lip. “Okay, so here’s the deal. It’s not a one-night contest. It’s an elimination-style competition. Like American Idol.”

“Oh.” That changed things considerably. I just wanted the money, but I couldn’t imagine doing this week after week. Staying home and playing Undertale on the genocide route was sounding better and better.

Aida stood, one hand bracing her back. “Look. It’s right up the street. Let’s just go check it out.”

When she left, I skimmed the journal, hunting for something safe and boring. I didn’t believe reading something embarrassing was going to magically cure me. Nor was I going to win a weeks-long contest. But as Mr. Shepherd, my cross-country coach, used to say, “Running begins, not with the feet, but with the mind.” Maybe just preparing to do the contest, imagining myself succeeding, would be therapeutic on its own.

I took a deep breath and pretended I was actually going to go through with it.

Bouncing all over the north throughout her childhood, Lorelei Parker grew up believing she was a Yankee. However, raised by transplanted Alabamans, she was destined to eventually wind up in the south. After graduating from Auburn University, she disappointed her entire family by defecting to SEC rival University of Florida and eventually settled as far north as central Virginia for grad school in French literature. After a major career shift and a brief detour through New York City, she now works as a computer programmer in Charlottesville. In her free time, when she isn't playing video games, she writes contemporary romantic comedy.

My life is on the line.

I'm trapped both physically and emotionally. A pawn in a game I didn't know I was playing.

Until I met him.

Pike acts without emotion, but I know he feels something for me.

I see it in his eyes when he looks at me. I feel it when he's close.

I know it's real because I feel it too.

Lust. Desire.

It complicates everything.

I know that I'm part of Pike's plan for revenge.

He doesn't know he's part of mine.

Pawn is book two of The Pawn Duet. Pike is book one.

Pike bends me over the sink. I grip the edge to prevent falling face-first against the porcelain. I glance up at him through the mirror to where he's standing behind me, appraising my body with fierce heat in his fiery eyes. He molds his body against mine. I close my eyes at the sensation I've been dreaming about feeling since the last time I saw him. I relish in his scent, his heat.
"Open your eyes, Mic," he orders. "I want you to see this. To see us."
My only response is a whimper. I have no words.
Only need.
As ordered, I open my eyes.
Pike grazes the back of my neck with his lips. "I want to see your reaction in the mirror as you take my cock. I want you to see mine as I give it to you. I'm not just going to fuck you. This is a message. One I want you to hear loud and fucking clear so that there will be no more misunderstandings between us." He reaches between my legs under my skirt, cupping my pussy over my damp panties.
I push back against him with a loud groan. Pike holds me in place, pushing my panties down my legs before resuming his touch, this time against bare and soaking wet flesh.
He groans when he feels what's waiting for him. "This belongs to me." He wraps an arm around my shoulder, closing a hand over my throat, biting at my earlobe. His next words are both a statement and a warning, delivered while the shaft of his thick cock presses against the cleft of my ass.
"You. Belong. To. Me."
Fan-flippin-tastic!! What an epic conclusion!

Mickey left Pike and went back to the Fourth Reich. She is set on her revenge and doesn't want Pike to get hurt. But now, Percy is back, out of jail. Darius has arranged a marriage between them. But something is different about Percy....

Pike is hurt and lost since Mickey left. He is struggling to understand what was real and what was fake between them. He's had enough and is set to get Mickey back, and to help her take down the Fourth Reich.

So what happens? You'll definitely want to one click this stunning finale!
HOLY CRAP!! I'm blown away and half-asleep. I couldn't put this book down once I got started. The finale to this duet is amazing and I loved it. There were a few parts that had me scratching my head, but those were few and far between. The characters are even more developed, the story will suck you in, and the plot will keep you turning page after page because you need to know what is going to happen next. What will Mickey do? What's going on with Percy? What about Pike? Trust me when I say, you don't want to miss this book! 4.5 stars and I suggest you one-click the conclusion to this duet today!

T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier never dreamed that a single person would ever read a word she wrote when she published her first book. Now, she is a five-time USA Today bestselling author and her books have been translated into numerous languages and published all around the world. T.M. enjoys writing what she calls ‘sexy wrong side of the tracks romance’ with morally corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines. Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at describing it in the final stages of decay. She loves meeting her readers, but if you see her at an event please don’t pinch her because she's not ready to wake up from this amazing dream.
