Review Tour: Echoes of the Gods by Gaia Sol

Echoes of the Gods
By: Gaia Sol
Release Date: 11/9/2017

Peace reigns in Midgard and with no wars to fight, Yngvi, soldier and fancy-free charmer, craves danger, excitement and adventure. He finds all that and more in a mysterious stranger whose arrival in Midgard coincides with an unexpected attack on Asgard’s pantheon by the fiendish armies of Loki, renegade god of the Underworld.

Shara has pursued a killer to Midgard and can’t afford to be distracted by the charismatic Yngvi, not when the fugitive has eluded him twice already. But Yngvi is like no one Shara’s ever met—annoyingly tenacious, but also brave, loyal and inconveniently attractive. A single night together shouldn’t change anything. But it changes everything, and Shara finds himself giving Yngvi his body, his trust and much more.

Caught in the riptide of Shara's shocking secrets, Yngvi joins him on a quest for vengeance that takes them across the stars, onto new worlds and into battles with gods, monsters and their own unfamiliar, conflicting feelings. Disloyalty breeds distrust, threatening to destroy their new, fragile bond, but they must each choose between heart and life when they finally uncover the startling past that will change the future.

Echoes of the Gods is the debut novel by Gaia Sol and it was amazing. The imagery that author's words invoked were magical and the characters drew you in. I would give this book 4.5 stars and recommend that you one click today. If you like mythology, PNR, and MM, this is a must read.

Shara is on the search of a murderer and he cannot let himself be distracted, however, when he meets Yngvi, he is drawn to the soldier. Yngvi craves adventure, but what he did not expect was to find that along with something more. Will their bond be broken, or will they find what they aren't searching for in each other. You will have to read to find out, and trust me, you will love the chemistry between these two.

I'm never sure what to expect from a debut novel. I always go in with an open mind, trying not to compare the author to others. From the beginning this book hooked me and is unlike anything else I've ready by anyone. The story telling draws you in and you want to keep flipping the pages. It flows very well, but more than that,t he characters are able to play off of each other and keep the reader enthralled. Not always the easiest of tasks. 4.5 stars.

Gaia Sol lives with her husband in Canada, where she works in the financial industry. Her pseudonym combines the Greek and Norse mythological equivalents of her real name and surname (and she was very pleased when she came up with it).

“Harlow Hampton meets the Iris Boys.”
All I needed was a break. A sign. Something.
Nearly getting run over was not the sign I was looking for, but it’s what I got. That and a group of guys who say they work for something called Iris.
No, thank you.
I had enough to deal with, thank you very much. No brother. No dad. No sanity most of the time. I certainly didn’t need to be dealing with thieves and wild cats and guys that were way too good looking. That is…I didn’t need them until they were all I had left. Now I have to make a decision about my future and whether or not they’re going to be in it.

Lucy Smoke is a self proclaimed creative schizophrenic. She suffers from severe wanderlust and enjoys people watching to find her next character. Who knows, maybe you're in one of her stories as well.

Release Day Blitz and Giveaway: The Bachelor Contract by Rachel Van Dyken

THE BACHELOR CONTRACT
by Rachel Van Dyken
November 28, 2017
Forever Mass Market; $7.99;
The Bachelors of Arizona Book 3

A second-chance romance from the #1 New York Times bestseller of The Bet, Matchmaker and Elite series!

She's everywhere.

Ex-wife.

Love of his life.

The last person in the world he wanted to see...ever.

And now that he's working beside her every day, he can't escape her. Her scent, glimpses of her smile, even the tension in the air that makes his body hum with the kind of need he'd only experienced with one person-all of it is driving him over the edge.

Brant Wellington was certain of three things:

Alcohol wasn't going to solve this.

He really was losing his F-ing mind.

And his gorgeous ex-wife was going to be the death of him.

It was Brant.

Always Brant.

Maybe that was because they’d never had any real closure. Just fighting, yelling, and then silence.

God, she’d hated the silence so much more than the yelling.

The silence crackled with tension—it was always filled with more meaning than when words were actually spoken.

It wasn’t the yelling that had killed their relationship.

It was the silence that had followed. When he had every opportunity to fix it—and didn’t.

Why was it so hard to move on? Probably because she hadn’t tried.

Instead, she’d worked. Tried to stay positive. And hoped.

Damn hope. Stupid hope.

“He’s not coming back for me,” she whispered, knowing that if she finally admitted he wasn’t coming, she would have to take her part of the blame in why. Because it wasn’t just on him to come running back. A small part of her knew that it was her job to meet him halfway. Instead, she’d ignored the need in his eyes, the desperate plea in his voice, and allowed grief to swallow her whole. Because at the time she’d needed someone to blame, and it was easier blaming him than herself.

This series has become one of my favs by RVD. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Broody drunken Brant...because we all knew he had some serious shadows from his past haunting him and I am so happy to finally have all his layers opened up. I would give this book 4 stars and highly recommend to others. This is sort of a stand-alone, but I would highly recommend reading the other 2 books in the series- The Bachelor Auction and The Playboy Bachelor.

This book although it was the end for the Wellington brothers, was so worth getting the final words and the ending it deserved. The thing I most enjoyed in this book is the banter between the characters, everything they did and said flowed together so well. I am sad to see it end but can't wait to see what RVD has in store for us next.

Brant and Nikki have a past that they tried to escape alone, but when fate brings them back together can Brant let go of the guilt he harbors? Can Nikki learn forgiveness and move forward with Brant?

Get to one clicking to see what happens! You don't want to miss it!

I love this series and couldn't wait to read Brant's story.

As you know from The Bachelor Auction, all three brothers were put as auction items - a "win a date with".

Brant's winning bidder is his ex wife. The woman he was madly in love with against his families wishes. Tragedy upon tragedy befell them and with nowhere to turn, Brant turned to booze.

He's been so lost, and feels so guilty for everything that happened between him and Nikki, he struggles to surface. But when the two of them are "stuck together" there is no denying that the attraction is still there.

Can Brant get his act together? Can Nikki forgive him from the past?

Definitely one click for this series conclusion.

I couldn't wait for book three of this series and I absolutely loved it. I think honestly it was my favorite of the set. It can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading the others just so that you get the full experience and can get to know all of the characters fully.

Brant is the brother that drowns himself in alcohol trying to forget his feelings of guilt and of failing his ex-wife, Nikki. He blames himself for everything that happened during their marriage...and he still loves her. When she wins the bid at the bachelor auction and wins him, they are just as drawn together as they ever were. But will Brant move on with his life? Can Nikki forgive him? Or will it all fall apart again?

The chemistry between the characters is undeniable and I absolutely loved their interaction. The story flowed well and moved at a great pace, and I couldn't put the book down. Once again Rachel Van Dyken has painted a new world with her words and we can drown in them. 4.5 stars. I recommend one clicking this one today!
