A grieving wolf. A hunted fox. Fated mates, thrown together by chance, and the looming threat of a fabled Huntsman who might tear them apart forever.

Fox shifter Liam Reynard is running from a killer. He uproots his life to find sanctuary in Fox Hollow, deep in the Adirondack Forest in New York.

When his car breaks down, sexy wolf shifter Russ Lowe comes to the rescue, and one touch makes it clear they’re fated mates. Neither man was looking for love, and both are still mending from past heartbreak. When mysterious fires and disappearances threaten Fox Hollow, Liam fears the killer is hot on his trail. Can he protect the town and his fated mate from the evil hunting him, or will an ex-lover’s betrayal cost Liam everything he loves?

Huntsman is full of sexy shifters, hurt/comfort, second chance love, sincere psychics, hot first responders, found family, and fated mates. Intended for readers 18 years of age or older.
From Chapter One

Liam’s hands tightened around the steering wheel as he tried to get his breathing under control. He glanced into the backseat of his old Honda Civic, double-checking that his computer bag and duffel were there.

Spring came late to this part of Upstate New York, and temperatures could still drop below freezing, making for patches of black ice on the road. The last thing Liam needed now was to wreck. His ten-year-old car handled well on snow and started reliably in cold weather— qualities he’d need where he was going. Liam shivered in his light jacket. He owned a decent winter coat—which he had remembered to grab from his closet, along with his boots, gloves, scarf, and hat—since Ithaca still got plenty of snow. But winter in Fox Hollow, way up in the Adirondack Mountains, promised to be a whole new experience.

Screw it. I can deal with cold and snow. I can’t deal with being hunted.

The warning call had come at six in the evening, not long after Liam had gotten home from his shift at the Ithaca College library, where he had landed an assistant librarian job after he finished his degree two years ago. The job he had just ditched, along with his apartment and friends, to run for his life.

Jeb was one of the few shifters Liam knew. So when Jeb’s warning wasn’t just that a hitman was after Liam, but a Huntsman—a legendary, near-mythical boogieman of a predator—Liam had dropped everything and fled.

He skidded, and for just a second, felt his tires lose traction. Liam eased off the gas pedal, steered into the skid, and evened out. If late spring was this cold and icy, he didn’t want to think what real winter would hold.

Hyperventilating and passing out won’t help.

Thank the gods for Dr. Jeffries. When his favorite undergrad professor left Ithaca for a new role at the Fox Institute, he told Liam that if he ever needed a job or a place to go in a pinch, to give him a call. Jeffries knew Liam didn’t have any family to count on, and the two of them had bonded over a shared interest in mythology and folklore.

Just a few days ago, Jeffries had called to float a job opportunity by Liam—the head librarian position at the Fox Hollow Community Library, which also included managing the summer arts festival and the “Fall Fling” in conjunction with the Institute. At first glance, Liam had been perplexed, since while the role offered more creativity, it was also a step down in pay. He’d promised to think about it.

Then the warning came, and he ran. Now he needed a new job—far away from Ithaca.

“Don’t stop.” She reached for my belt again, this time completely undoing it, the button of my pants, and my zipper at world-record speed.
Her phone buzzed. Then it chimed. Then it buzzed and chimed two more times. Then it rang again. Reba.
Cursing, Jenn pulled the phone from her pocket, once again her face illuminated, murderous rage in her eyes. Her finger moved to the power off button. She blinked, hesitating. Her eyes widened, her body stiffened, and she gasped.
“Cletus!”
Something about her tone, like she was horrified, and maybe a little afraid, cut through the heavy haze of lust inertia, and my hands stilled. Shaking myself, it took me a few moments to realize she was showing me the phone screen, and another few to bring the content of the text messages into focus.

Momma: Jennifer Anne Sylvester, pick up your phone. If you’re with Cletus, I need his help. Please.

Momma: ALL THE CHICKENS AND ROOSTERS ARE DEAD! PICK UP YOUR DAMN PHONE!

Momma: I’m calling you in a second, pick up the phone. Mr. Badcock’s chickens are dead. All of them. I got here and he’s running around, deranged, yelling about his dead chickens! I called the police and they’re on their way. Please, please, please pick up the phone!

At some point, I must’ve taken the phone from Jenn and stepped away, because I glanced up upon reading the messages for the third time, finding the phone in my hand and Jenn fixing her skirt.
“This is nuts.” Her big eyes searched mine imploringly. “Who could have done this?”
I shook my head, having not yet managed to fully shift head gears—you know, from that head to the one on my neck—and my gaze dropped to the wet patch on the front of her dress just visible in the swath of light. My erection throbbed.
So we’re . . . not having sex?
“Why? Why would they do it? And WHO?” She snatched her phone back, her tone bewildered, distracted, and distraught. She was distraught because of the dead chickens, like any normal person would be.
I was distraught also, but my distress had nothing to do with farm animals.
“We have to go.” Jenn grabbed my hand and began walking toward the direction of the hall. Meanwhile, it took me until her hand found the door handle to realize my zipper and belt were still undone.
“This is crazy.” She paused as I zipped up, her tone halting and distracted. “Poor Mr. Badcock. And those poor chickens.” A sound of distress escaped her throat. “This is terrible.”
It was terrible.
And I was going to hell.
Because all I could think was, Talk about a cock block.
What a welcome diversion in these crazy times. I love the Winston brothers and was happy to traverse back into Green Valley.

Cletus and Jenn are navigating their relationship and all that it entails: finding time together. Jenn is trying to find her voice and set boundaries with her mother. For every hurdle she clears she comes across another. And now, her dad is back and stirring up more trouble than ever. Not to mention the mysteriousness of her bakery suppliers backing out or losing their livelihood. Every time they find a smidgeon of time a new emergency pops up.

Jenn's big heart wants to help all the folks affected and Cletus' love for Jenn has him pinching in to help solve the mysteries.

What a great read!   I had a little bit of a hard time getting in to this at first because I hadn't read any of the others in the series.  However, once I got past that, this book did not disappoint!

While Cletus and Jenn try to navigate through their relationship, they find that a great mystery needs to be solved.  All of Jenn's suppliers are having issues, and she feels like she and her mother's business is targeted.

Oh God. Jack covered his face with his hands. Just what he didn’t need.
“What is it?” Ace asked, no doubt peeking over Joker’s shoulder, because although Joker was nosy, no one beat him in the meddling department like Ace. Anston Sharpe was worse than the granny living next door who knew more about you than your family did.
“A text from Fitz.”
Jack ignored the smile in Joker’s voice. He moved his hands and sighed. The two were grinning like idiots.
“It’s nothing. Just a reminder about my upcoming hair appointment.” Why the hell had he agreed to get his hair cut at Hair Comes Trouble? Right, because Fitz’s best friend, Laz, had given Jack the puppy eyes and Jack was too much of a sucker to say no. Sometimes friends sucked.
“There’s a kissy-face emoji after it, though,” Ace pointed out.
“I’m sure he adds that to all his texts.”
“No, he doesn’t,” Ace said, removing his phone from his pocket. He tapped away at it before showing Jack his text from Fitz. “My emoji is looking at me with suspicion. Like, what is that? Why do I get the suspicion emoji? Is he expecting me to make off with his hair dryer? Give him a bad review on Yelp? Why do you get a kissy face and I get apprehension?”
“Because you’re shady as fuck,” Joker said with a snort.
“Screw you. What emoji did you get?”
“I got a happy face and a little service dog emoji for Chip.”
“What the hell? I mean, Chip I get. Everyone loves him, but why do you get a happy face? No one likes you.”
Joker grinned smugly. “My emoji and my dog’s emoji say otherwise.”
“Whatever.” Ace rolled his eyes before turning that intense gold-green gaze on Jack. “So… you gonna call him?”
Jack shook his head. “Nope. It was a confirmation appointment. From his salon, I might add. Not a personal text.”
“But it had a kissy-face emoji,” Ace said, waggling his eyebrows.
“It was probably a mistake. Everyone, get out of my van.”
