You know me. You know who I am. What I am.
Damaged. Confused. Alone.
You feel sorry for me. You pity me.
You know what I’ve done. What I’ve given up. Who I’ve given up.
You try to understand what I’ve been through and how I can possibly go on with my life.
But you can’t possibly understand.
I’ve lost too much. Sacrificed too much. Given up everything so that I can find myself.
Well I’m done.
I’m done walking away from everything that matters.
It’s time for me to heal.
It’s MY TURN to earn…
Redemption.
Love.
Family.

Dear Tabitha is the second book in the "Forever Family" series.  I have so many emotions that have run through me from this book.  The first book Dear Emily will forever hold a special place in my heart but I think Dear Tabitha will be indebted in my heart even deeper.  You must read Dear Emily before reading this it is not a stand alone novel.  This book is told in dual POV's.  I would give both books 5 stars!  I have to keep this review short and sweet because I don't want to give any spoilers away.  There is so much to take in with both of these books that you will be drawn to them like a moth to a flame and you will devour them in hours, mark my words this will be one of your favorite series this year!

Tabitha is a broken, tortured, damaged soul.  She has been through more in a lifetime than you can even imagine. In Dear Emily you get to see into the life of Tabitha and how she struggles with choices she had to make in her life in the present, and it touches on pieces of her tormented life from her past.  It also shows you her struggles with her personal relationship with Alex and her trying to let go of the past demons so that she can love again and to feel actual real love. The first book also touches into the lives of other couples and there struggles and how there lives and Tabitha's become intertwined.  (I don't want to giveaway any spoilers just in case you haven't read Dear Emily yet *;) winking).  In Dear Tabitha it is more detailed and descriptive of pain and suffering that Tabitha goes through in the present and the past but it also dives into the past and present of Alex and how he has his own demons to fight.  At the end of the first book you see Tabitha and Alex torn apart and in this book you will have to wait and see if they can truly make things work with eachother after all the lies and deception, can they survive as a couple? Or does the big secret that Tabitha is harboring finally kill there relationship forever?

This book will rip your heart out and then piece it back together very slowly.   You have to pick this up PRONTO!  I can't wait for more from this series!  Thanks for an awesome journey so far and I look forward to the next book!

Tabitha-- Whenever I'm around him, I want him to devour me.  He's been incredibly tender and tries not to trigger my panic episodes.  I picture his arms around me.  His warm lips on my neck.  His body pressed against mine.  He affects me in ways that I've never felt before.  I feel it in my bones.  I need him, and I can't admit that to him or anyone.

Alex and Tabitha-  "Is this okay?  Is it too much?  Because I just need to touch you.  To hold you.  To feel you.  I won't push, but this right here is what I need."
"This is perfect for right now," I reply.
"Good" he says.
"Because I never want to let you go."  I nuzzle into him and silently hope that he never does.

This is book two in The Dear Emily Series.  I found Dear Tabitha to be poignant, deep and beautiful. The author takes you on a complicated journey filled with pain, sadness, hope and healing.  It's dual
POV and switches from past and present which allows the reader to fully feels the intensity among the pages. It's chock  full of personal strife and drama! Just my type of book...

Alex has endured a life of abuse from an early age. This has hindered him from being the person he wants to be. It has complicated his relationships with others as well.

"I've been so fucking patient with all her breakdowns. Her depression....I tried to take away the demons that plague her."

"I've given her her all of me and more. My love, my heart, my fucking life."

He's the lead singer of a band. He's got that understated thing going for him. He's a bit misunderstood. Getting a deeper understanding of his backstory, inner demons and love for Tabby really were unveiled in the book.

Tabitha has lost the one person that loved her.  She's young and confused.

"She's always going to be in your heart, and love you forever"

Tabitha has had her share of challenges at a young age and then some. She's a fighter and a survivor. She had lived in homes that weren't always safe. Watching  the heroine in this book develop over the years was eye opening, painful and bittersweet. She is.. "a fighter I admire her." She is resilient against the unfortunate circumstances that have plagued her since birth.

Tony is a ruthless sadistic person.  He was not healthy to Carly at all. He ruined her spirit at a vulnerable time in her life.

"This is my apartment, and I own everything in it. "That includes you."

Tabitha and Alex have have a special bond. They deserve to find closure on their past and work on a promising future.

"I want to share these moments with you and grow with you."

Trudy Stiles writes raw emotional stories that grip the heart and inspire. This book gave me goosebumps and that is rare for me. She's a very talented writer. I look forward to future stories from her.
