Colleen Franklin made the world's biggest mistake when she chose her then fiance, Tommy, over her friends. Once she did that, they disappeared from her life, and she wished they hadn't...especially Michael.

Michael Frost has loved Colleen since high school and missed her terribly, worried about her, and wanted to seek her out - if only to know she was safe and happy. There was always something about her ex that had bothered him.

Through a twist of fate, Michael and Colleen decided to relive old memories at the same cafe they used to frequent together all the time. This was their chance to finally reconnect, and just in time too. Her ex, is getting out of prison and is now seeking to not only take her back, but revenge as well. Tommy swears Colleen will be his again - no matter what - and leaves his calling card all over New York. The only way to survive will be to stick together because Tommy doesn't care who stands in his way...he'll get what he wants and will have a little fun in the process.

Can they make it through this and survive when a psycho is hunting for them? Will they finally admit their feelings for each other? Love sometimes has a way of finding people when they least expect it, and when it is the least convenient.

Was Colleen really seducing him? Michael’s jaw gaped at the woman straddling him, and any argument he may have considered previously flew out the window. Now he could think of no reason to continue denying her or him any longer, therefore, when she leaned forward for another kiss, he met her halfway allowing the passion to lead them, engulfing them. His hands moved to her waist and he flipped her over onto the bed so he topped her, their lips still dancing together and making promises of what was to come.

Lifting up her lover’s shirt, she said only one word, “Off.” Impatient, she did not wait for him to comply and their hands got tangled trying to remove the offending garment. When it finally left his body, she threw it away, heedless of where it landed. She now had full access to the hard plains and dips of his upper body and her hands took advantage of the newly exposed skin, memorizing the feel of his heated body under her fingertips. Meeting him kiss for kiss, his mouth ravishing hers, her ravishing his, she could not get enough of him.

Slowly he lowered himself so that his body rested against hers, pressing her into the bed. One of his hands was making short work of the buttons holding Colleen’s blouse together, and he was tempted to just rip it open the way he had seen in countless movies, but he was afraid of how she might react to that. He took his time, his hands shaking and making the task more difficult. His groan was long and loud when she wrapped her legs around his waist, causing him to instinctively thrust his still trapped member against her, pressing into her core. It was driving him insane; feeling her against him and yet not completely feeling her. And his hands still struggled with the buttons, however, the last one popped off in his agitation and finally he was done. More ivory skin had been revealed and he gave into temptation to worship it with his mouth. Kissing her soft, supple skin, he moved to her bra clad breasts and latched on to suckle one of her nipples through the pink material. In response, she grabbed his hair and held him to her as she mewled.

Just as Michael was about to undo the fly on her shorts, the door shuddered with a loud knock, throwing water on their fire and temporarily dousing their heat. The pounding reminded them they were not alone in the apartment, and while Colleen’s mother may not have returned from her trip, they still had a bodyguard watching over them. With a groan, he lowered his head to rest on her bosom and called out, “What is it?” He was attempting to get his ardor under control, but found it difficult given his current position between Colleen’s legs.

“Sorry to bother you, but the restaurant is calling and they said it’s urgent,” Irving answered through the door. Hearing the noises coming from the bedroom, there was no mistaking what had been happening…and he had been the one to interrupt. It made him cringe.

“Okay. I’ll be there in a minute,” Michael shouted back rolling off of his girlfriend and covering his eyes with his arm, willing his body to calm down. Irving might have interrupted their time with a figurative splash of cold water, but it did not change his desires. “What the hell could they possibly want now? It’s practically closing time!”

Colleen could not help but laugh at the bad timing of the call and leaned over to pull his arm away from his face, “Their timing is anything but impeccable, however, you need to find out what’s going on. They say it’s urgent. How many times do they actually call you like this?”

“Never, but their timing sucks!”

She giggled and asked, “You okay?”

He wanted to shout, “NO!” But he remained still and gazed up at her groaning as he did so because of the vision she presented. Her lips were red and swollen, her hair messed up, and her shirt lay open with a large wet spot on one side of her bra. She looked like she had been ravaged, but unfortunately for him, the ravishing got interrupted and the job went incomplete. Reaching up with a shaking hand, he pulled her shirt closed, or at least tried, otherwise he would have given into temptation and decided to hell with the restaurant. His Adam’s apple moved up and down as he swallowed hard thinking about what happened. He could still remember her taste, her touch, the way she felt under him, and how she appeared as he started to pleasure her. He groaned again. This was definitely not helping his current situation.

A distraction, that’s what he needed. Getting off the bed, he went and grabbed another t-shirt from his dresser instead of trying to find the one he had recently lost. “I just need a minute,” he mumbled as he leaned his head against the cold wall to cool his heated head and started to breathe deeply. Only when he felt he was in better control of his body did he turn around to face his girlfriend, “I hate to say this. Damn, I really hate to say this, but we might have to put this on hold for a while. Not us, but this.” He wanted her badly, but he did not want to be rushed or have an audience. The little noises she made should be for his ears only. Then again, could he count on her to be patient after the way she acted? Hell, could he actually practice patience? He did not know, but he would try.
