I always love revisiting this sweet town and the characters that live there. We get a big view of Scarlett's life while hearing about Courtney and Dean's story, which made me want to keep reading even more!

Dean is Scarlett's brother, and Courtney is Scarlett's best friend. Courtney is ready to move away after losing her job and having her parents turn their home into an air bnb. She's been in love with Dean since she was a teenager, but he never noticed her. Or so she thought.

One night, after drinking too much, Courtney kisses Dean! She's still set on leaving, though, but wrecks her car leaving town. Dean, the mechanic, rescues her and they act on their feelings.
