Wes… wow. Hunky, protective, and irresistible, yet bound by duty. Watching him try (and fail) to keep things strictly professional with Juliette made the tension that much better. And Juliette—strong, independent, and trying to escape the shadow of her mob boss father—was such a compelling heroine. Their push-and-pull dynamic, mixed with forced proximity, made for some seriously addictive reading.
What really stood out was how the story balanced romance, danger, and that unexpected twist that shifts everything. If you love a steamy, high-stakes romance with great banter and a satisfying HEA, this one is definitely worth picking up.
