The third book in New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey's Romancing the Clarksons series about four siblings on a cross-country road trip, perfect for fans of Gena Showalter and Julie James!
This time, she's calling the shots.
Peggy Clarkson is returning to her alma mater with one goal in mind: confront Elliott Brooks, the man who ruined her for all others, and remind him of what he's been missing. Even after three years, seeing him again is like a punch in the gut, but Peggy's determined to stick to her plan. Maybe then, once she has the upper hand, she'll finally be able to move on.
In the years since Peggy left Cincinnati, Elliott has kept his focus on football. No distractions and no complications. But when Peggy walks back onto his practice field and into his life, he knows she could unravel everything in his carefully controlled world. Because the girl who was hard to forget is now a woman impossible to resist.
Peggy and Elliot have a history. One that Peggy full intends to get some closure on when she returns to her alma mater for alumni weekend. She doesn't plan on getting involved with him again or having all these old feelings creep in.
She also isn't counting on Elliot changing and his feelings becoming clear to her. Feelings that she longed for years ago.
Is it enough to make things work for them or will Peggy still walk away?
I felt like I was missing small pieces in this story but it still managed to draw me in and keep me entertained. I loved Peggy's heart and the chemistry between her and Elliot, but it's clear she has some wounds that run deep. Wounds that we never really get to see or understand so it's hard to make sense of her hesitation sometimes.
I'm giving this one 3.5 stars, decent read with a steamy, dirty taking, football coach that you should certainly get to know today!

Too Hard to Forget by Tessa Baily is about second chances and first loves.
Peggy plans on returning to her old school to confront the man that imprinted himself on her so much so that no other man will do for her. She has to stay strong and firm, and not give in to him, but that is easier said than done, especially when her old feelings are flittering just under the surface.
Elliot has moved on with his life and it is about football, but one person did get under his skin and he's never been able to forget her. Peggy. Now that she is back, he has another chance, but is he willing to take it?
Will these two figure it out and listen to their hearts? You have to read to find out. Although this book is #3 of the series, it can be read as a standalone. I liked the characters and the chemistry between Peggy and Elliot. There were parts that I was scratching my head or I felt it dragged a little, but overall the story was a good read and I highly recommend it. 3.5 stars.

Too Hard To Forget is the third book in the Romancing The Clarksons series. I would give this book a 3.5 stars and recommend to others. Although it is the third book I would say it could be read as a standalone, but you may understand the characters a little better if you read the other 2- Too Hot To Handle and Too Hot To Tame. This was the sister Peggy's tale and boy did it takes us for a roller coaster ride.

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans, and laptop, and drove cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend, and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.
She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband and daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.
