Bourbon Sins is the first book in the Jet Girl Series. I would give this book 4 stars and recommend to others. This books dabbles a bit in the BDSM world but has so much more that makes it a great read, and of course, it's got great humor because Meghan Quinn is the author and she is fantastic!
Jett has a dark past.. and he is bound and determined to help others so they don't ever feel the things he has seen.

Goldie lost everything when Hurricane Katrina took it all... she is determined to make her life better and when a black card appears multiple times randomly she will finally find a savior.

What will happen when Jett and Goldie realize both of there worlds are about to change because of one another.. and what will happen when it all comes to a head?

I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. This book didn't have the same feel as the other Meghan Quinn books I have read. While I don't hate/dislike it, I also am not in love with it. There was still some elements of raunchy humor that made me laugh.

Goldie has reached a low in her life, ever since Hurricane Katrina came in and swept the rug out from beneath her. She is taking jobs so that she can make her ends meet. That is until Jett comes in to save her.

He wants her as a Jett girl and he'll stop at nothing to make sure it happens. What he didn't expect was for Goldie to find her way into his heart.

This book wasn't like most of the other Meghan Quinn books I've written, and while overall I still enjoyed the book, it isn't a favorite of mine. I sat here for a while thinking of what rating to give it. 3.5 or 4. I'm somewhere in between, and in the end decided on 4 stars.

Goldie's life hasn't been great since Hurricane Katrina, but she has managed to survive and she is determined. And things are starting to look up when she gets a black card. Enter Jett to save her, but he didn't expect to have his life changed because of her. He only wanted her as a Jett Girl, but now he also wants her as more because love does funny things like that.

The book is well written and has its quirky moments, but it seemed to also be missing something. Overall it was enjoyable and I'll probably read the other books in the series just to find out what else happens, but Bourbon Sins seemed to drag a bit and it didn't engage me like Meghan Quinn's previous books. That said, it is only book one and the characters are interesting enough that I'm a little intrigued. 4 stars.
This is a hard review to write. I wanted to like this book more, I really did. However, I had a really hard time getting into the character. Goldie's persona was a little over the top. Additionally, I had a hard time with the ratio of sex to plot. But that's just me!

I can see if you are into the more sexy stuff in reading, this book would be very appealing. The relationship is steamy for sure, and well written. It just wasn't for me.

3 1/2 stars.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
