This had a ton more character development in the story than the first two in the series. I think that this could have easily turned in to a full length novel (it's a novella, like the others) and given us more about what happens.
This is the first release for DD Moss and I have to say, I'm impressed. Good plot, interesting characters, and a touch of suspense kept this book interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story was creative and flowed, and to top it off, it's a quick read. I do, however, think that it's one of those plot lines that could have benefited from being longer, probably a full-length novel. Unfortunately, this whole series is a series of novellas or novelettes.

Lavender has been in love with Jackson since they were children, but she has secrets. For that matter, so does Jackson. Will they figure out a way to be together, or will they once again circle each other without connecting? Jackson has to protect her, even if she doesn't think she needs it.

I'm giving this story 4 stars and highly recommend it to others. One-click this story today.
