This book was a good read. The characters were engaging and not over the top. I liked the way the story flowed. Take your time and read this story today!

This is one of those stories that breaks your heart then puts it together again. It has angst, betrayal, heartbreak, growth of characters, so much sweetness, forgiveness, and learning to let go and move forward.

Riley and Lu were hot and heavy as teens. Then, one day, Riley breaks Lu's heart, sending them on different paths in life. But, we know fate always plays its hand. These two are brought back together for a wedding.

It is during this time Lu uncovers secrets behind the betrayal, and it is revealed to her that she was betrayed by not only Riley but also family. Lu has to come to terms with the truths she discovers while confronting her feelings for Riley who, throughout their years apart, built the life for Lu she always wanted but never fought to build for herself.

This story had me flipping the pages like crazy! But I did come to the conclusion that sometimes, we aren't always meant to know then what we know now, if we did, we may pass up on the lessons we are meant to learn.

This was a beautiful story and great series starter. I am looking forward to the next book. Well done, Ms. Peterson!
