His fiance dumped him, his cousin is getting married, and he's in a big hurry to find someone to marry just so he can get the cabin.
His thoughts quickly turn to Aubree. You see, his brother was married to her sister. Unfortunately Wyatt's brother and his wife have both passed, and they left their farm both to Aubree and Wyatt. Wyatt comes up with a crazy scheme to give Aubree the entire farm in Almond Bay in exchange for her marrying him for one year.
When Wyatt turns up at the farm, Aubree is suspicious. She suspects he wants to take the farm from her. Wyatt is obnoxious but loveable, and does his best to try to win her over.
You really need to read this fake marriage turned secretly like each other book. No one does it like Meghan Quinn, and I absolutely adore the Almond Bay area and characters she's created. Ah bless… The Peach Tribe has meddled (although on request this time) once again and DID NOT disappoint. All I can say is that I was hysterically cackling at Chapter 14. I had to time out a few times to try and gain reading composure.
Wyatt has a plan but needs a willing bride. A half thought out, harebrained scheme has him headed to Almond Bay. You see, he is the owner of half the land at the Rowley farm, left from his deceased brother and sister-in-law. He is sincere even though he cooks up some funny things with his author brain.

But in trying to prove herself to herself, she refuses to take or even ask for help. Aubree is strong, determined and loyal. But she has definitely been burned. And she is Wyatt’s ace in the hole.
Aubree is the grumpy to Wyatt’s sunshine. But he sees Aubree for who she really is and likes what’s behind the wall she erects. Agreeing to this year of fake marriage makes them realize that they actually like each other but both are scared to tell the other.
