The CEO is the first book in The Game Changer Series and I would give it a fantastic 4 stars. I was really hoping this book wasn't a cliffy hanger given it was the first book in a series and thank goodness my dreams came true! So needless to say I suppose that is a little spoiler about the book but let me tell you it is quite a journey for Grant and Eve to find there HEA.
The series of course doesn't end there but the next book is another character Kitty's journey. This book was so full of everything I love about a story. I love the hot CEO and they sassy heroine. I look forward to reading Kitty's journey even though she wasn't huge part of the story line, honestly I was actually surprised and intrigued to see her get the story because she was a little of the villian in this book.
Eve has a sordid past she is trying to run from and moves far away from her home town to finally find herself as a person. She isn't looking for love or even a man in her life she is just trying to deal with her past mistakes the best way she can and pick up the pieces of her life. When she meets the sexy Grant at her first party she hosts she instantly feels taken by him but also frightened at the feelings he brings out in her. When Grant starts to pursue her will she given in to his charm or push him away??
Grant on the outside seems to have everything, the money, the perfect job, woman falling at his feet, the perfect family.. but its all a facade to him and he just wishes for a life of normalcy. But no woman ever wants him for more than his money and family status so of course he becomes the playboy because no woman has ever made him want more. That was until he met Eve.. she just ignites something inside of him that he hasn't felt before and he is determined to make her his.. but will he get more than he expected when she keeps turning him down?? Will his family accept her into the social circle when she isn't apart of there world???
Go get this book asap you will not be disappointed! This is a love fast and hard book and wow the sparks will fly! Thanks for a great story and I can't wait for more!
The CEO by Shealy James is the first book in the Game Changers Series and I cannot wait for Kitty's book next! This book was a 4 star read for me and I was enthralled with the story of Grant and Eve, turning each page wondering if they would get the happily ever after that they each deserve for their own reasons. You will not be disappointed when you pick up and start reading this fantastic story!
Determined to find herself after a tragic past, Eve moves away from home, with no agenda other than to live her life. She isn't looking for love and she almost doesn't want to find love. She meets Grant, the guy who seems to have it all at her very first party and the sparks between them are electric! Grant begins to pursue Eve and the reader beings turning each page wondering if she will finally succumb to the feelings that he invokes within her or if she will continue to resist him.
Grant is looking for something more, even though on the outside he seems to have it all between work and family. What he wants is someone to want him for the real person he is not how everyone perceives him to be. Wanting more than a hook-up but knowing that most of the woman who fall all over him only see dollar signs and status, Grant feels something for Eve that he doesn't expect and he knows this time it is different.
With Grant determined to make Eve his, in a world where she doesn't always believe she belongs, the reader yearns for the happily ever ending that we hope is coming as we take the journey of their budding relationship. Will they be the couple that each of them wants to be or will they allow outside influences to alter what they truly want in their hearts? You will need to read this fantastic story to find out.
“Have you been listening to anything I have said to you? I would move mountains to be with you, to make you happy. Baby, I felt you that first time I met you. I felt you from across the room. There is no doubt in my mind you were made for me. You make me feel for the first time ever. I lose my breath when you walk in a room. Knowing what you were willing to risk for me makes me want to try harder though. Knowing you think I’m worth all of that makes me kind of believe it too. Shealy James is a Georgia native who teaches math by day and writes romance at night. As an avid reader, expert on romantic comedy films, and lover of realistic characters who could be her best friends if only they really existed, Shealy appreciates when humor mixes with drama to guide her imaginary friends to their happy endings.
