Gwen Stevens had a privileged life until her father spoke three little words that turned her world upside down. “You’re cut off.”
Broke and desperate, Gwen is forced to accept a waitressing job, but this glimmer of hope has a price. As if being a cocktail waitress isn’t bad enough, she has to do it in a dive bar called The Den, and her bad luck doesn’t stop there. She also needs to deal with the new owner, a blue-eyed, self-righteous ass determined to make her life miserable.
Liam Sinclair walked away from the entitlement and obligation his family planned for him, vowing to make his own way in the world…
Adjusting to life as a new business owner, Liam has experienced more than his fair share of setbacks. When his only waitress breaks her leg, his sister takes it upon herself to hire a replacement—a spoiled, self-indulgent hothead with too much makeup and more than enough attitude. Gwen represents the world he’s trying to escape, a world of excess and greed that he was never cut out for.
Appearances can be deceiving, and first impressions aren’t always right…
Despite their apparent differences, the tension between them turns to a fiery passion that neither of them can resist. Together they find balance and learn to appreciate the simpler things in life. But Gwen soon discovers that old habits die hard, and one mistake is all it takes to ruin everything.
Forgiveness must be earned, but even a villain deserves a chance at redemption…

Chance at Redemption is a great second chance story.

Honestly, I hated Gwen in the beginning and I wondered if Liam was really going to fall into her trap.

Question is...can she redeem herself from all the bad she's done in her past.

Gwen's got a lot of growing up to do in this book and she may just have it in her to change. You'll have to one click to see how Liam and Gwen's story plays out!
I have to say I was not looking forward to reading this book, but in the same feeling I had to see what happened next. If you have read the other books in the series you would know why I was a little cautious. I hated Gwen... still not sure she deserved the ending she has received. Yes, I said it. LOL... but that doesn't take away from the writing skills of this author. I would give this book a 3.5 stars and recommend to others to tread lightly and keep and open mind while reading if you hated Gwen as much as I did...or do? :)

I have to say I loved Liam and was happy to see him get a story.. may have not been the one I would have hoped for him, but the story itself putting my hatred aside was really well written and I have to give the author props for trying to bring some redemption for Gwen...

I hate to write a review and say I hate someone in it... but didn't hate the story itself... Well, I suppose that is what makes Samatha Harris a good author... I will be following her in the future!

I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I started to read this book. In all honesty, I hated Gwen and wasn't really interested in reading her story, but I finally forced myself to open it up on my kindle and started to read...and I'm so glad I did.

Many of you will remember that Gwen was one of the least likable people in the series, and you were more likely to burn her at the stake than to admit that you liked her. The question is, will she redeem herself and get a happy ending, or will she continue on her current path and wind up self-destructing...ending up where we all wanted her. Read to find out.

Liam is a wonderful man, and I think if anyone is going to "tame" Gwen, it's going to be him. You really need to read this.

The book was well-written and pulls you in. I love this author's writing style. She is able to evoke a strong reaction to her characters and her story. 4.5 stars. One click this book today!

Samatha “Sam” Harris lives near Baltimore, Maryland with her husband David and daughter Ava. Born in Florida, she migrated north which most people agree was a little backwards. She has been an artist all of her life, a Tattoo Artist for more than ten years, and a storyteller since she was a kid.
Sam has a slightly unhealthy love for Frank Sinatra, classic movies, and Jazz and Blues music, but her first love will always be reading. From Romance, to Thrillers, to Historical Fiction and everything in between, she loves to become a part of the story. As a writer she tells the stories that she would want to read.
