Finley watched her sister turn dark fae right before her eyes, on their 28th birthday. This is all too much for Finley right and she needs an escape. She is not ready to face everything and be a part of his prophecy. But another tragedy strikes that catapults Finley into action.
With the help of her friends, she finally asks Carrick for help and agrees to go on this journey with him.
I swear, I was hoping all Carrick's disdainful looks toward Finley were a ruse and that they would get together. Their angsty push and pull was over the top. Lets just say Carrick is really great at keeping his cards close to his chest.
Alas, they both come clean, on everything - prophecy, feelings, secret magical talents, etc. Here he tells her that an immortal and mortal could never be. I'm still rooting for these two to happen.
The ending is a major cliffhanger as I stated above. Definitely check this book out. I can't wait for Book 3!
