From New York Time’s bestselling author of the Neighbor from Hell series comes a heartwarming romantic comedy about the only thing that matters when you’re about to lose everything that you’ve ever wanted.
The one person that you can’t live without.
She should probably mention that she had no idea what she was doing, but since that would probably result in her new boss, Devyn MacGregor, CEO of Carta Hotels and the incredibly handsome man that didn’t look like he knew how to smile, firing her, Andi Dawson decided that it would be in her best interest to keep that fact to herself. After years of doing a job that had slowly destroyed her will to live, she needed a change, something different, something that gave her a clue about what she was supposed to do with her life, but more importantly, she needed to figure out how she was supposed to keep a secret that could destroy the only thing that mattered to her.
Just. One. More. Time.
Devyn was so close to having everything that he’d ever wanted when everything suddenly went to hell. He should have seen this coming, should have stayed focused, and he really should stop thinking about the small woman that he should probably fire. He had four months to fix this and he had no idea how he was going to do it, but he knew that he was about to make the biggest mistake of his life.
Well, this one was such a cute, fun read. I fell in love with Andi during her interview and stayed in love with her throughout her time with Devyn. And Devyn *sigh* he had a soft spot for the cute, not-qualified-for-the-job assistant who proves to be worth far more than the breakfast bacon sandwiches she couldn't live without.
As the story progressed, Andi reminded me of my youngest son - her intense focus to the extreme, where she could lose track of time, and her gift with numbers. And Devyn, with his past and his mistake of trusting the wrong person, just made me want to hug him. Their love grew at a realistic pace. It wasn't instant - the attraction was. And their chemistry was a simmer that intensified into a fiery smolder. I laughed at their banter. And at Andi's ability to show up at the perfect time.
I wish I had more story for them after that HEA. Fab writing! Entertaining, witty, sweet, and a definite one-click story.
Andi has an accidental interview with Devyn MacGregor, CEO of Cart Hotels. She ends up becoming his personal assistant… and truly it’s better than being in accounting. Problem is, she isn’t that good at being a personal assistant.
But someone is trying to undermine the company and make Devyn look bad. The thing Devyn doesn’t know is Andi is really good with numbers and is helping him figure out what has been happening.
The more they work together, the closer they become. So will the figure out who is behind it all? And will they figure out their feelings for each other? One click this cute read, you won’t be disappointed.
