A stand alone brother's best friend romance about Ash Talmadge & Amelia Ballentine by USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…Ash Talmadge is everything I shouldn’t want.
My brother’s best friend. A too charismatic, too attractive Southern gentleman. And obsessed with someone else.
But she’s finally out of the picture. I put two years between their break up just to be sure. This is finally my chance.
His focus is all on me. Exactly where I wanted it to be since high school when he saved me from humiliation. And after college when he finally realized I was more than just his best friend’s little sister.
There’s only one person who could ruin this for me.
I’ve waited this long.
I’m willing to wait for always.Gah! I absolutely love the Coastal Chronicles series! I also love when they give me Easter Egg crossovers *wink, wink*
We met Ash Talmadge back in Hold the Forevers. And here we revisit the past that unravels into the present. Always steady and never wavering was his best friend's little sister, Mia (Amelia) Ballentine.
We saw how their paths never truly lined up... well, until it finally did. But is Ash well and truly moved on from his past? Enjoy this angsty, bumpy road of a story that is Ash and Mia. The ending is one of my top favorites - get to one clicking now!
This one can be a standalone or enjoyed as part of the series. I always love a series like that, with crossover characters and settings. This story or Ash and Amelia was a sweet and, at times, emotional one. I enjoyed the flashes to the past to explain the present. This author did a great job of keeping the reader fully informed of these two leads and their history, making it easier to enjoy the story without having read the previous.Amelia's emotions were heartbreaking. The glimpses we get of how she feels about Ash, and her thoughts on what they have are hard to read, but relatable and understandable. And it is those feelings that cause her to grow her backbone and assert herself in a way that surprises Ash and wakes him up. What ensues after is the wonderful journey of their romance, with all its bumps, bruises, and love. This book is one I would recommend for anyone who is a fan of sweet and spicy, heart and soul, and a few laughs. Great job, K.A. Linde!K.A. Linde is the USA Today bestselling author of the Avoiding Series, Wrights, and more than thirty other novels.
