I devoured this book. From the very first page, I was completely hooked. AL Jackson has a gift for storytelling—her ability to weave deep emotion, tension, and romance together is just phenomenal. This was one of those reads I simply couldn’t put down.

What I loved most was the dynamic between the main characters. The heroine is strong and feisty, yet we gradually see her more vulnerable side emerge in such a real, relatable way. And the hero? Classic AL Jackson—brooding, self-sacrificing, and convinced he’s unworthy of love. I never get tired of that type of male lead, especially when their emotional walls start to crumble.

There’s also something so satisfying about the way Jackson connects her book worlds. The little Easter eggs and cameos from previous characters are like a treat for long-time fans. It feels like visiting old friends, and it makes the story that much richer.

The romance in this book is intense, emotional, and beautifully paced. Add in a touch of suspense and a snowy, close-quarters setting, and you’ve got the perfect backdrop for sparks to fly—and hearts to heal.

If you're into emotionally charged romances with layered characters, slow-burning chemistry, and a touch of danger, this one is a must-read. AL Jackson never misses, and this book is proof of that.

AL Jackson is one of my go-to authors when I need a story with all the feels: emotion, romance, steam, suspense. I honestly think this one is at the top of the list of her books for me. 

From the moment I started this book to the very last word, my heart was racing and my mind in an emotional rollercoaster as I dove into the tale of these two characters. We have our strong, independent, sensitive MFC and our dark, closed-off, broody MMC. 

The chemistry these two had was beautiful. As these two grow closer, the walls each have built begin to crumble, and we are left with an incredible relationship, stronger because of their weaknesses they each embraced.

If you are looking for a story that is filled with raw emotion, tense scenes, suspense for days, and wonderfully paced then you will absolutely FALL for this one. A true must read that will enter your top ten list for sure.
