Blog Tour, Giveaway: The Best Goodbye by Abbi Glines

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the next sizzling novel in the Rosemary Beach series, featuring well-known playboy and Blaire’s half brother, Captain.

“The look on Rose’s face had screamed that she was hiding something. Hell, she’d practically run away from me. There was something to that. I knew there was . . . “

After ten years in the employ of a mysterious crime boss, River “Captain” Kipling is ready to leave his sordid past—and his cover occupation as an upscale restaurateur—behind him. The only thing standing in the way of his “retirement” is his commitment to launch a new restaurant in the resort town of Rosemary Beach. With his sister, Blaire, nearby, Captain can delay his dream of running a humble bar on the waterfront, but the unwanted attentions of his head server, Elle, have him itching to get out.

Until he notices Rose Henderson, the new server at the restaurant. All he knows about the pretty redhead with the cute glasses is that she’s a hardworking single mom from Oklahoma. But there’s something overly familiar about her laugh…something strange about the way she looks at Captain…

The Best Goodbye by Abbi Glines is the next book in one of my very favorite series, the Rosemary Beach Series, and it tells the story of Captain. Captain for those of you who are fans of the series and don't remember is Blaire's half brother. This book has a little bit of everything, love lost but found again; a tiny bit of angst and the happy ending that we yearn for in this series. This was a 3.5 star read for me and I would recommend this series to others.

Captain or as Rose knew him when they were children, River, is opening a new restaurant in Rosemary Beach. Rose has come to Rosemary Beach, in disguise, to see what type of man Captain has turned out to be. Hoping that he doesn't recognize her until she can determine how she feels about him after all these years, Rose feels the familiar tug whenever she is near him.

Captain avoids emotions at all costs, and doesn't stay in one place too long. He definitely cannot wait to move on from Rosemary Beach after the restaurant is up and running and the manager comes on board. He can't understand why he is so drawn to his newest server Rose, why her laugh tugs at his heart just a little too much until he sees her with her daughter Franny and the realization hits him in the gut like a ton of bricks.

I love that you got to see a little of Blaire in this book, almost as if you were catching up with her in a way. You definitely need to read this story to see how it all plays out. And I have a feeling that Major and Nan's book is next....Am I right???? I sure hope so.

The Best Goodbye was another book in the Rosemary Beach series, I absolutely love this series as a whole.. so that being said this can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading about the other characters in the series cause you don't wanna miss out on Rush's story!  Ok so back to this book this was Captains book and although I was super excited to read this book I did feel little let down because it was a little rushed in parts and great in others so it wasn't bad by any means just wasn't my favorite in the series. I would give it a 3.5 stars and of course I would recommend to others.

Captain and Rose have a very complicated relationship from the beginning and both are holding secrets that could change both of there lives.  When the secrets get revealed and explosion of many different emotions will happen including passion and regret being the highest.  Can Rose and Captain actually figure things out or will there be to many obstacles in there way?

Get to one-clickin to find out what happens in the tailspin of a story... it is similar to other books in this series and its not also-- I know confusing but you have to pick it up and you will realize what I mean. Rosemary Beach would be a great place to live just saying!  Hope there is more to come from all of these amazing characters in Rosemary Beach!

3.5 stars!

This book is part of The Rosemary Beach Series and tells the story of Captain. I fell in love with this series with Blaire and Rush fucking Finlay in Fallen Too Far. So to say I was super excited to read this is an understatement.

Captain is a trained killer but has since left his profession. He recently met his sister, Blaire, and has started a relationship with her and her family. But already he is ready to move on from Rosemary Beach. Especially since Rose, a new waitress is making him remember his past and why he had turned so cold.

Rose has a secret. She has been looking for her daughter's father for as long as she can remember and now she has finally found him in Rosemary Beach. But before she introduces her daughter (his daughter) to him she wants to make sure he is worthy. She is hesitant because he is not the man she remembers.

But eventually she starts to see him behind the rough exterior he's put up.

This fell a little flat for me. I felt the ending was rushed. It had great potential up until the last 25%.

Can Addy and Cap'n get a second chance to make things right? Go one-click to find out.

First, I have to say that this is the first book I've read of this series. I read it because I knew while part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. So if you are iffy on reading it because you haven't read the others, you don't have to worry. Second, if you like lost loves who rekindle their romance and find happiness, then this is a good read even if I felt the story was rushed at times.

After getting his heart broken, Captain no longer wants to feel any emotional attachment to anyone or anything, and he doesn't understand why he feels an inkling of something for Rose who just started working at his restaurant. Rose is there to see how the father of her child turned out and is a bit disappointed at first when she meets Captain again after so many years - to say the least. When Captain realizes who she is...well it's better if you read it for yourself. Needless to say, his quick getaway may not be so quick any more.

The characters are memorable and the story overall is really good. I can't wait to read the others in this series. I'm rating The Best Goodbye by Abbi Glines as 3.5 stars, and if you want to know what happens next, then click and read.
