In the second standalone book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’ Thatch series, Knox Alexander must convince his long-time love Harlow Evans that they’re meant to be together.

He promised to wait for her.

She told him he was wasting his time.
Not waiting for him ended up being the biggest mistake of her life.

When they were younger, Knox Alexander swore to Harlow Evans that he would wait for her to turn eighteen so they could be together. But that was two and a half years away, and Harlow couldn’t ask him to give up all the fun and thrills of going away to college for her. As the years passed, Knox remained a constant in her life but when her eighteenth birthday came around, Harlow’s heart belonged to someone else.

Every day for the last four years, Harlow has been haunted by that fateful choice. And though he may appear unaffected by what happened in their past, Knox has always tried to fill the void Harlow left. But when he comes stumbling back into her life and refuses to leave, will Harlow finally let him into her heart…?

Just as she was leaning in for another kiss, she jolted and her eyes widened.

“What’s wrong?” I asked when she didn’t say anything or move.

“I think…”

“What?”

“Did a bird just poop on my head?” she asked in a horrified voice.

I laughed loudly, and looked at her like she’d lost it. “In the middle of the night? I doubt it.” Still laughing, I rolled us over and pressed my body closer to hers. As I brought my mouth back down to hers, I felt the rain start falling against the back of my neck. I let out a sigh against her lips, and said, “And that would be your bird.”

“No, no!” Harlow scrambled out from under me and off the blanket, and tried to take off in the direction of my truck, but I was up and after her within seconds.

I hooked an arm around her waist before she could get far, and swung her body back against mine.

“Knox!” she screamed through her laughs as she tried to get away from me. “We need to get back to the truck!”

“What’s a little rain when you’re from Seattle?”

“Because I always look awful when I see you, and I actually tried to look nice this time!” She giggled and tried to pull away again, but stopped when I pressed her back to my chest.

“You wanted romantic,” I whispered into her ear, and wrapped an arm around her waist. I played with the sliver of skin exposed on her stomach, and smiled when she shivered against me. Taking the loose collar of her shirt in my other hand, I pulled until it fell down her arm, and moved my mouth in a line across her shoulder. “Dance with me.”

Harlow turned her head slowly toward mine, and our eyes locked for heated seconds as I swayed us back and forth. An audible exhale blew past her lips when I traced the bridge of my nose along her jaw and trailed the tips of my fingers up her stomach, across her chest, and down her arms. Grabbing her hands in mine, I turned her around so we were facing each other, and pulled her close again as I resumed the slow dance.

I’d played this out differently in my head when I’d stopped her from running back to my truck. I’d thought of having fun with the dance and making her laugh in that way that always got to me. But this … with our slow movements in the pouring rain with the girl I’d waited years for … I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Heart wrenching, but a story that proves that true love will find a way…even if there is a slight detour. To the Stars by Molly McAdams is a heartfelt story that will having you cringing, angry, sad, hoping, smiling, and cheering for the hero and heroine. Sometimes second chances can happen.

Harlow met Knox when she was fifteen and instantly fell for him, but she wasn’t alone. The moment he stepped out of the concert venue to watch over her, Knox realized that she was the girl for him and no one would ever compare. He promised to wait for her and he did; however, she doubted him and wound up making a decision that would forever change her life. A decision that she regretted and wished she could change. She didn’t wait for him and chose to be with a different man: Collin. A man that was not sweet and loving like she believed. Events unfold and Knox wanders back into her life desperate to save her. Will they be able to finally be together? Will Collin do something to her or her family before she can escape?

Knox and Harlow’s love story is not peaches and cream or filled with rainbows, but they do show that loving someone to the stars instead of to the moon is infinitely greater. The book is not an easy read based on the subject matter and can be touchy for some people, but it is a great read and I give it 4.5 stars!

Molly McAdams had a way of pulling emotion from a reader like no other author can while reading her books and To The Stars is no different! The second book in the Thatch Series; and this is the story of Knox and Harlow. A story that is filled with the longing for a different choice, a better choice and of living in fear with the wrong choice made. To The Stars will evoke many emotions that will have you crying and yearning, totally invested in the future of these amazing characters. This book was a 4.5 star read for me and I would highly recommend this series. I will warn you that the content of this book is tough to read at times, but the strength that the characters exhibit will have you falling in love with them, regardless of the difficult situation that they find themselves in.

Harlow and Knox met at a time when they were unable to be together. A unexpected love between these two characters grew over the years while Knox continued to tell Harlow that he would for her. Knox made a vow that his love was strong enough to wait until a time that they could finally be together without putting his future in jeopardy, a promise that he took seriously. That is until the unthinkable happened, Harlow didn't wait for him.

Harlow made a decision that would change the course of her life when she didn't believe in the love that Knox had and didn't wait for him. Wishing that she had made a different choice all those years ago becomes more clear every day and when she comes face to face with Knox after almost 4 years, she realizes that her feelings never changed.

With Knox by her side, Harlow hopes that she can find the strength she needs to change her future before it is too late. The decisions that she makes and the life that she lives until then will gut you in every way possible but there is a sliver of hope as you read that she will overcome it all and that her love for Knox will transcend.

This book is heart wrenching but I would expect nothing less from the Great and Powerful Molly, because as most of us know her book Taking Chances broke us all to pieces and left me for a very long time not knowing how to put my brain and heart back together, and guess what she did it again with this powerful story. It may not have broke my as badly as Taking Chances but it comes a close second. Her writing style just pulls you in like a magnet and you just feel all the emotions flowing through you that the characters feel, no matter if it is great pain, sadness, lust, happiness they were all felt with great intensity. This book does touch on some sensitive subjects so be warned it will not be for everyone. I do highly recommend for you to divulge yourself into the greatness of this story and hope and pray like I did that there is an HEA at the end.

Knox and Harlow start out in the young love phase, but find there are many things keeping them apart.. one being the age difference. So Knox makes a vow to Harlow to wait for her until she is legal to finally make her his. For years they stayed a constant in eachother's lives, stole kisses here an there but never crossing that line. When the big eighteen makes its presence will it be all they hoped for? Or will one already be taken?

Can these two find there way to and HEA, or are there to many obstacles and monsters standing in the way? Get to one-clickin to find out what happens cause you don't want to miss the explosion!

I will admit, this is the first book I have reads since Taking Chances. That book literally broke me at the end.

This book right here, it broke me from the beginning. Molly has a way to pull you in and make you feel as though you are the character. I literally felt the anxiety and fear rolling off Harlow. I am not lying when I say this is touchy subject matter. I myself had to start this in small doses.

Harlow met Knox when she was only 15 and he was set to turn 18. They formed an immediate connection but he vowed to wait til she was of legal age. He told her constantly that he would wait and she would banter back that he was wasting his time. Their love became bigger than each other. He told her he loved her to stars because they were deeper in distance and brighter and hotter.

When Harlow goes off to college Know pulls away slightly to let her experience life. She thinks he is withdrawing and eventually moves on. And that becomes her biggest mistake.

For years Harlow lives in fear.

She is near her breaking point by one hand or the other when fate intervenes and she runs into Knox. Feelings that have been deeply suppressed rise back to the surface with a vengeance.
And with Knox around she feels stronger than she ever has. Can Harlow win her fight to be free?

You will break and find strength right along with Harlow... get to once clickin'.

And don’t miss the first book in the Thatch Series…

LETTING GO

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
