The Slam is a standalone novel and the first book I have read by this author. I would give this book a 4 stars and highly recommend to others. This author blew me away with how she portrayed Adelaide the heroine in this story.. its hard to put into words how amazingly well she did with her dialogue and how she made me feel the passion of this character. This is a sports romance but very different from any sports book I have read before, it didn't just focus on the sport it focused more on the passion and emotions that were delivered by these characters. It was also a slight blip of a college story as well. I found myself laughing out loud at many parts because of the quirkiness of Adelaide and how she literally held nothing back, and Ender was an awesome character as well and smokin' hot too!
Ender and Adelaide met when they were children and formed quite the connection in there childhood, but when Ender grew up and moved away he never expected to see Adelaide again... but when they are brought together living under the same roof sparks will fly. Ender is your typical college jock and frat house president who is just up for the the one-night stand and leave them kind of guy.. Adelaide well she isn't your typical college girl so she trusts Ender to help her become more socially acceptable while she helps him with his tennis career... but when things change will they be able to explore there sexual needs and still remain friends?
You need to read this story its was a really good book and I look forward to much more from this author in the future!
