After years spent harboring a shameful secret, I finally felt…alive, reawakened and brave. Willing to break down my walls and let love in. Let him in.
We had conquered our pasts. The truth had set us free, and we were looking toward our future. Until a crazy twist of fate brought my worst nightmare back into my life.
The voice and soundtrack to every one of my haunting dreams now had a face. One he won’t easily let me forget.
The hits Ben endured on the football field will be nothing compared to the devastating blow his heart will take if he finds out the whole truth. He knows the story, but he doesn’t know the monster. Not like I do.
Just as the wounds of my past had begun to heal, he’s come back to rip them wide open.
Maybe some things are better kept from those we love.
Maybe some secrets are never meant to be told.
Maybe it’s better to Say Nothing…
This one was a hard read for me. The nature of the beast haunting Ari.... wow. All the feels.
Ari and Ben come together in Book 1, Say Something. He's the player and she's the somewhat shy quiet girl with a haunting past. When the past is staring them in the face, and Ari comes clean... will they survive?

I'll give this one 3.5 stars, because I had such a hard time sticking with it.
Say Nothing is the second and final book in The Speak Series. The first book Say Something does need to be read first as this is not a standalone. I would give this book a 4.5 stars and highly recommend to others.
This story wove a beautiful love story in the first book but also showed a deep and painful past for Ari, but by the end of the first book you get the feeling they are moving on with there lives finally and then bam! The past has a way of creeping back in and you find that your demons are closer than you had thought.. what will happen when the truth is finally revealed to all?? Will Ben ultimately be there to save Ari in the end from the destruction of her past? Or will it be too late?
This last book will tie everything up and make you want more from these characters. I absolutely loved this story and can't wait for more from this author in the future. Thanks for a beautifully well written romance! Get to one clicking!
This book…I think I’m still trying to recover. Say Nothing – Book 2 of the Speak Series by TA Roth is a must read, but be aware that you have to read book one first. This book cannot be read alone. That said, prepare yourself.
In the first book we learned of Ari’s past, but in book 2, the past comes back to haunt her. Say Nothing is a little on the darker side, however, it needed to be. Ari had hoped to hide from the past, or leave it in the past, if only certain people would have stayed there. What is going to happen to her? What about Ben? Will he walk away when he learns everything, or will he fight to stay at her side?
Say Nothing was amazing! Well written and the characters become a part of you. You want to know what happens next and are hesitant to put the book down. A must read and I give it 4.5 stars!!
T.A. Roth is a wife and mother of two funny and crazy kids. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she couldn't imagine living anywhere else. When she's not beautifying clients as a stylist/make-up artist at her day job you can find her reading, fangirling her favorite authors, or singing along to the radio. After getting the opportunity to read the debut novel of a then client now friend something clicked. Her "what the hell" attitude kicked in and a year later, here we are.
Say Something... A new adult romance is her debut novel.
