Blog Tour and Giveaway: Swear On This Life by Renee Carlino

SWEAR ON THIS LIFE by Renee Carlino
Available NOW!

From USA TODAY bestselling author Renée Carlino (Before We Were Strangers), a warm and witty novel about a struggling writer who must come to grips with her past, present, and future after she discovers that she’s the inspiration for a pseudonymously published bestselling novel.

When a bestselling debut novel from mysterious author J. Colby becomes the literary event of the year, Emiline reads it reluctantly. As an adjunct writing instructor at UC San Diego with her own stalled literary career and a bumpy long-term relationship, Emiline isn’t thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of a young and gifted writer.

Yet from the very first page, Emiline is entranced by the story of Emerson and Jackson, two childhood best friends who fall in love and dream of a better life beyond the long dirt road that winds through their impoverished town in rural Ohio.

That’s because the novel is patterned on Emiline’s own dark and desperate childhood, which means that “J. Colby” must be Jase: the best friend and first love she hasn’t seen in over a decade. Far from being flattered that he wrote the novel from her perspective, Emiline is furious that he co-opted her painful past and took some dramatic creative liberties with the ending.

The only way she can put her mind at ease is to find and confront “J. Colby,” but is she prepared to learn the truth behind the fiction?

Wow! Seriously, what a powerful read. This book takes your average love story to brand new heights!

When a book mysteriously falls into the hands of Emiline's roommate and she insists Em gives it a read too, Em finds her world as she knows it flipped on its axis.

The mystery author, couldn't possibly be.... or could he?

Follow Emiline on a journey to find herself and her heart. The search for forgiveness and peace.

The angst and love the blooms thru this book is simply amazing. Warning: a book hangover may occur. Pick up this 5 star read NOW.

Emiline is stuck in a stale relationship, is a writing instructor, and trying to write a novel. Her roommate and friend pushes her to read this supposed new "best selling" debut novel. She reluctantly gives in.
As she reads the first few paragraphs she realizes that this story is her life story and that the author is none other than a childhood friend who was there and experienced it all with her.

Emiline thought she left the past behind but as she reads the story the past comes back and its not always with happy feelings. At first she is mad, hurt and feels betrayed that her life story is on the pages for the world to read.
But as she reads, she heals. Now she wants to confront the author and find out why?

What happens next? Well you need to one-click.

You will not be able to put this book down, and will experience every gamut of emotions that Emiline does.

The synopsis had me hooked. Emiline's life is stagnant and when her roommate forces her to read a book, she reluctantly does it, only to find that it is her life. From there, she goes though a medley of emotions when she realizes that the book was written by her childhood friend and first love. And the book is written in a way that you will feel everything Emiline feels.

You start on this journey with the characters and you don't want to put the book in because it sucks you in. 4.5 stars. I loved the way the author presented the story and the story line grips and pulls you in before you even start reading. If you want to see how this story unfolds, you will need to read the book because there is too much to put in a short review, and I don't want to give too much away. But I can promise that you won't regret one clicking today.

This was a pretty amazing story about how your past will mold you into the person you become even if you truly try to move past all the demons. Swear On This Life was a beautiful journey and I would give this book a 4 stars!

How would you feel if you are an aspiring author/writer and you are told about an up and coming author and that you have to read his book... And when you decide to read said story and find it all too familiar??

What will happen when next?!?
