Review Tour: Hard Edit by Andrea Smith and Eva Lenoir

Title: Hard Edit
Series: Black Balled #2
By: Andrea Smith & Eva LeNoir
Publication Date: September 4, 2016
Genre: MM Romance

It's all fun and games until egos get hurt.

After a year of a seemingly happily-ever-after, Troy Babilonia throws a curve ball that smacks Larson Blackburn right in the head. When Troy's debut novel, "Bridge to Lonely," threatens to overshadow Larson's own success, inviting a past shadow into the light of their present, the two alphas must learn to adjust.

"Bridge to Lonely" has garnered an unexpected success both in the literary world and in the film industry, forcing Larson to accept that he is not the only successful author in the building. But as Troy's old flame decides to make an appearance, the two alphas are forced to test the strength of their love. Let the battle of the egos recommence; where sarcasm is the preferred weapon, and the testosterone levels go beyond the boiling point.

Because Black Balled just wasn't enough...Smith & LeNoir bring you Hard Edit.

Adult Content 18+

After reading both Black Balled and Hard Edit by Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir, I have the urge to write this review like Babu would have. Don’t worry, after you read them, you will understand and hopefully life. Black Balled introduced us to Troy and Larson, and Hard Edit continues their funny and interesting story. Yes, this is an M/M story, and the dynamic between the two left me entertained and wanting more.

Troy and Larson did not have the most romantic of meetings, if anything they hated each other in the beginning. During Black Balled there were times we wondered if they would end up together, and we breathe a sigh of relief when it finally happens. If you think their story is any easier or over, think again.

In Hard Edit, they are back and while they love each other and are together, they have their moments. After reviewing and grumbling about Indie authors, Troy has decided to finally self-publish his own manuscript—something he was always loathe to do before Larson came into the picture. No longer looking down on the Indie world, Troy/Babu is now one of them, except now he has to figure out how everything works and keep his man happy. There will be signings, deals, family, his relationship with Larson, and so much more to contend with. Larson is happy for his man, but he is also a little jealous. What is going to happen to them?

Okay, this is what I’m going to say about this book. You have to be able to have a sense of humor to read it. As you know, I’m an indie author and part of this blog, and these books make light of a lot of things that happen in the Indie world, though, not in a bad way. I laughed about it all and kept nodding my head. I know these books aren’t for everyone, and that’s ok, but if you don’t mind the comedic way the authors portray self-publishing (they are Indies themselves and know this world), then I say give it a chance. Hard Edit is well written and the characters are great. I fell in love with them both, and wished I could use the frying pan on Troy a time or two. The supporting characters add depth to the story as well as comedic relief. There were a couple of times where I thought the story dragged, but it didn’t happen too often and quickly picked back up. 4.5 stars and I recommend you one click today.
