Release Blitz and Review: Mercy by Debra Anastasia

Title: Mercy
Author: Debra Anastasia
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 21, 2017

He taught me to kill. Murder is in my blood now. It runs through my veins and though I hide the monster I see in the mirror with ink, it doesn’t keep him from coming out.

My street name is Mercy, but I never show any. Except for her. I watch Becca, though she doesn’t know. She saved me a long time ago; the day my father killed my mother. Her bravery turned her into a target.

My father holds a grudge and knife with the same proficiency, and Becca is the focus of his hatred. And I’m the only monster who can save her.
Oh Mercy me! This book blew me away! I would give this book a huge 5 stars and highly recommend to others! Debra Anastasia has a very unique writing style and I never thought anything could rate with her Poughkeepsie series but this series is going to give it a huge run for its money.

Fenix and Becca met early on in life, Becca was Fenix' savior in a way that Becca never knew at a young age, but what happens when they meet again as adults?

I will not give away much in this review .. this a dark and twisty tale that will leave you mind boggled many times.... and some will spoil this story but I will not be one of those because I want you to soak up this whole story the first time when you read it.

This story was an emotional roller coaster that has me desperate for so much more and I can't wait till this Winter when Animal's story comes about oh boy I am certain its going to throw us all for another loop, a ridiculously fabulous loop I am sure! Get to one clicking to see what happens!

Debra Anastasia, I apologize. I've strayed away from you and vow never to do it again.

THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!

In all seriousness this will be on my top 5 reads of the year.

This ran my whole emotional gamut. Happiness, anger, sadness, hope, lust... just to name a few.

The bond between Mercy and Animal felt reminiscent of the brothers in Poughkeepsie.

Mercy is his street name. He hates his father and wants to be everything opposite of him. His father was an abusive bastard and he watched as his father killed his mother. Dreading that he would be next, a little girl stood up to his father. This instilled hope in him. He knew then that he would make it out alive.

He watched that same girl for years. Always making sure she was safe.

Then fate changes the outcome. Mercy is finally able to meet her. Becca is more beautiful in person than from behind a monitor screen. Like moths to a flame, there are drawn to each other.

Mercy feels like finally, nothing will stand in their way. But fate can be fickle. A few wrenches thrown into the plan and things go awry quickly.

To understand all the complexities and what happens you better pick this gem up. I highly recommend it!
What a great read!

Nix's awful childhood has turned him into who he is today. His father murdered his mother, and Nix has spent his life trying to protect from afar two others: his sister and a woman who helped him once as a little girl. He does things he isn't proud of. His clients know him as Mercy.

Becca is unaware that her every move is watched. Her life gets turned upside down when a tattooed man enters the bar she works at.

Can Nix save Becca from the secrets of the past and threats from the present?

This novel hooks you in fast and keeps you on the edge of your seat while you are reading it. It was hard to get enough of this book!! The relationship between Nix and his friend Animal is so fun and loyal. The characters are realistic and interesting. The heat between Nix and Becca is, well, HOT! I can't wait to read her next book!

Debra Anastasia likes to write from her heart, her soul or her butt. The genres she dabbles in are examples of that. There are two paranormal romances in the Seraphim Series and now four contemporary romances in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series and a stand alone in the same genre, Mercy. Fire Down Below and Fire in the Hole, Booty Camp Dating Service and Beast complete her comedy repertoire. The Revenger, a dark paranormal romance, is finally in the light, and the last, a novella called Late Night with Andres, is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research.

Debra lives in Maryland with her two kids, husband of twenty years and two dogs. The king of the house is clearly the tuxedo cat that is the size of a small donkey. Find about her latest adventures on DebraAnastasia.com
