I've been anticipating Holden's book since he ran into the pole at the end of Hot Axe...and I loved it. While it might not be my favorite of the series, it's hard to beat Robbie and Ames in Hot Axe, Axe Backwards is still so good! I loved the build up, the emotions, and the Merritt and Holden interact. A thief and a sheriff...what can go wrong? Throw in a family of thieves and the Axford clan, and you have a recipe for a great story! This is one you definitely want to read. You will laugh and clutch your pearls, but you will keep turning page after page as you watch the love develop and grow between these two men. 4 stars!

The more I read stories about the Marion family, the more I love them. This time it is Jude and Derrick's son Wolfe. I laughed and cried and clutched my heart. It was an emotional roller coaster, more so than many of the stories that came before them. I absolutely loved it. The characters, the plot, the development...although, I will admit at times I wanted to yell at them all. LOL. It's a great book and definitely worth the read. 5 stars!

Every time I think I found a favorite in this series, I'm proven wrong. Secrets and Lies was amazing, and it had me hooked from the very beginning. This book focuses on other characters outside of the cousins from the first few books, and I was here for it. Wonderfully written characters, a story that pulls you in from page one, and an arch that has you gasping, laughing, shaking your head, and biting your nails. You need this book in your life. But in my honest opinion, you need all of the books in this series if you like edgier and darker. 5 stars!
