Blog Tour: A Stone In The Sea by A.L. Jackson

He wanted nothing at all…
Until he found she had everything to give…

Sunder lead singer and guitarist Sebastian Stone has everything—fans, fame, and fortune. He also has a heart full of bitterness and a reputation for a short-fused temper. But an outward reputation rarely reveals the true man inside. Facing assault charges after trying to protect his younger brother, Sebastian is sent to Savannah, Georgia to lie low until the dust settles in L.A.

Shea Bentley is beautiful, kind, and hiding from the very lifestyle Sebastian has always embraced.

When the mysterious, tattooed stranger begins hanging out at the bar where she works, Shea is quick to recognize he is nothing but trouble, but she's helpless to the way her body lights up every time his intense gray eyes tangle with hers.

They both soon find themselves drowning in a sea of desire and passion that won’t let them up for air.

Sebastian knows firsthand secrets never die, and he’s not the only one who’s hiding them.

Loving someone always comes with a price. But will it be Shea’s past that costs them everything?

I froze when I felt the presence behind me. The song slowly blinked out, the last note lingering in the dense air, before I slowly looked over my shoulder to find Shea. Thoughtful eyes met mine in all their warmth—covering me, pulling me in, dragging me under.

“You play,” she said, a statement rather than a question.

“A little,” I said with a shrug.

She scoffed. “I would hardly classify that as a little.” She shuffled toward me, barefoot, and still wearing that robe. “You have a beautiful voice,” she whispered, and again it took on that reverent tone, like she was recognizing something inside me I didn’t see.

She ran her fingers up the back of my neck and into my hair, and I lifted my head to it and tried not to moan like a girl when she pressed her hot mouth to my Adam’s apple, kissing me there like the temptress she was.

“Such a beautiful, beautiful voice for a beautiful, beautiful man.” The words vibrated against my throat.

“Shea.” My response was hoarse, uttered toward the ceiling as she kissed up and down my throat. With her daughter’s innocent face running like a reel through my mind, I searched inside myself for some kind of resolve. For courage. For a speck of integrity. “I should go. I shouldn’t be here. I shouldn’t have stayed. Shouldn’t have come back.”

Never should have come in the first place.

“You’re exactly where I want you to be,” she coaxed against my skin.

“Shea.” It was a plea for one of us to find reason.

“Please,” she whispered, hands sinking into my shoulders.

Weak.

Weak.

Weak.

That’s what she made me.

Groaning, I gave, because she already had me, and I swiveled a fraction, grabbed her by the hips, and pulled her onto my lap. She was quick to straddle me, a smile taking over her face as I palmed her ass, all those waves of shiny soft hair falling down around us.

“It’s hardly fair, you know,” she said.

“What’s not fair?”

“You…looking the way you do. Then you turn around and have a voice like that? Singing and playing that way?” She pulled back with a grin. “Tell me you don’t play guitar. You know what they say, a man with a guitar automatically becomes ten times sexier than any other guy in the room.”

I curbed a snort.

Didn’t I know it.

And that was exactly the shit I’d come to hate.

“Pair that with this face and this body…” she continued, purely playful.

Any other girl started talking like that and I’d have tossed her from my lap.

Instead, I kneaded my fingers deeper into the flesh of her ass, rocking her into my cock that was at the ready and begging for more.

Shivers rolled through her. “…and I would say you’re irresistible, Sebastian Stone.”

“Is that all you want me for…my body?” I teased, running my hands up her back, eliciting a pleasured whimper from her.

Fingertips played across my chest, and her expression turned vulnerable, that storm collecting speed. “Yeah. I do want this body.” Those fingers fluttered up to my jaw. “And I want this face.”

A Stone In The Sea (Bleeding Stars series) was a fantastic book about a bad ass rock star hiding from his present fame and trouble and a small town girl in hiding from her past.  I loved this book but it will leave you hanging mighty hard at the end.. I had an almost throw my kindle moment...aghhh!  Well I have to say I devoured this book like I do all of A.L. Jackson's books.  A rock star book is most definitely one of my favorite types of books and A.L. hit it out of the park with this one!  I honestly think she could write the phone book and I would seriously read it just because her name is behind it.  This is a steamy emotional read that will leave your heart torn and your panties soaked... I just have to say Kellan Kyle watch out because Sebastian "Baz" Stone is going to give you a run for your money!  I would give this book a 4.5 stars and would definitely recommend to others.

Sebastion AKA Baz is the lead singer of the band Sunder and he is laying low in Savannah Georgia on Tybee Island to get away from the heat of the press due to a fight.  He has some major demons in his past and all he can do now is protect the only family he has left.. his brother and his band.  He doesn't do relationships because his career keeps him busy and he isn't capable of love anyway... but when he meets to mysterious girl Shea in a bar that she works at he instantly feels connected with her and its a big plus because she doesn't throw herself at him.. in fact she has no clue who he really is.

Shea is back home in Tybee Island and only a certain few people know why... and she isn't about to tell anyone else because she has to protect her family. She works at her uncle's bar and is making things work with the help of her roommate.  When she meets a broody stranger one night at the bar while she is working she will be immediately intrigued.. but she can't let her self go any further.. there are secrets to be kept and no one can ever know.

When these two finally let eachother in.. secrets will come out.. pasts will collide... and they will find they have more in common than they realize.  But will the fame of Baz ruin everything in the end? Or will Shea's past ruin everything?

Something about it felt intimate and raw and honest, and I was falling farther, being sucked beneath the surface.  A stone in his sea.  Completely drowning in this man.-- Shea

You have to go pick up this book you will not be disappointed!  I can't wait for the next book in this series because I have to know what happens next!  Thanks for a mind boggling journey and another hot rock star to add to my forever growing book boyfriend list!

This book had my emotions all over the map. A.L. Jackson’s gifted way with words had my heart stuttering. Be prepared to be slayed by this woeful tale. It will have you charmed, thrilled, curious and yearning for more. Mark my words!

Sebastian Stone is a walking contradiction……

He looks hard yet beautiful.

Is fierce but gentle.

Can be wicked yet loving.

He feels the burden and weight of his wrong doings and it weighs heavy on his heart. His soul has been tarnished by his mistakes and by a few that have hurt him. I fell hard for this misunderstood rocker with a bad reputation.

And Shea may be falling too……..

“What I wasn’t expecting was her. That fucking gorgeous girl who’d swallowed me whole with just one glimpse.” - Baz

Baz is a flawed Hero with an exorbitant amount of depth, it literally rippled off of the pages. I can’t even express the intrinsic qualities A.L. Jackson incorporated into this story that magnified his interactions with his brother, band, family and Shea… It held me prisoner as I navigated through A Stone in the Sea. I am forever changed by the pian and beauty that ignited off of the pages as I devoured this book. Shea has her own reasons for being how she is….Baz and I want to know more about her. There’s more to Shae I just know it! She’s charming and sweet but beneath it there’s something…..

For one rapturous second, time stood still as I got lost in a face that had to be the most beautiful I’d ever seen.” -Shea

I fell in love with Jackson’s writing in Take This Regret. I knew she possessed something special and this book confirms that she continues to produce life altering stories that possess passion and pain. They tug at your hearty and make you FEEL! Her lyrical talent is incredible. Most of her words are packed with so much meaning and beauty I sometimes take a pause. She writes stories that draw me in and connect me to these characters. I simply am a SUPERFAN! I’m anxious and greedy to get my hands on book 2, Drowning to Breathe….. Im certain you will be too!

I give A Stone in the Sea 5 Mesmerizing STARS! It is one of the best books of 2015….

A.L. Jackson became one of my absolute favorite authors after reading her Take This Regret Series and Closer To You Series; so I had high expectations for this new series Bleeding Stars; expectations that were completely exceeded. A Stone is the Sea is a novel with characters that are so unlike any others that she has written before, characters that claw their way into your heart a little at a time as you turn each page and by the very end you are fully enraptured with their story and have an immense need for more. A Stone in the Sea was a 5 star read for me and I highly recommend that others read this amazing story!

A Stone in the Sea tells the story of Sebastian "Baz" Stone, a bad boy rocker at his core, or is he? After getting into a fist fight with a record label executive, he along with his band, take some time out of the spotlight and stay at their agent's beach house on Tybee Island. Intending to fly under the radar and not have anyone notice that the bad boys of the rock band Sunder are among them; they are banding together like the family that they are while waiting to see what will happen due to the outburst of fists that Baz had. Baz cares about his band members like family; he protects them fiercely and is loyal to them always; knowing that they have been through the roughest of rough times together always with a supportive hand and never laying the blame when something goes wrong. Used to a life where he lives as a persona, Baz only shows the world who he wants them to see, never letting anyone close enough to him to realize what is truly underneath all of the anger and rage he seems to exhibit more often then not.

Shea Bentley is living a life that she wants, simple with no distractions; with no one dictating to her how she should be behaving or what she should be doing in order to be successful. Working as a waitress in her Uncle Charlie's bar and living with her best friend April in her Grandmother's old house that holds so many cherished childhood memories, Shea convinces herself that she doesn't need any other love in her life; she doesn't need passion because that will only lead to heartache. That is until one night when Baz walks into the bad and sets her skin on fire. Keeping up with her no distractions pact, she turns Baz down many times to go out with him, even as he shows up for a drink night after night after night trying to wear her down.

Shea has a reason to want to live the simple life, and that is her beautiful daughter Kallie. All of Shea's reasons for not getting involved with Baz seem to be solidified when he bumps into her and Kallie on the street one day and realizes that she is the reason why Shea won't go on a date with him. But soon the electricity between Baz and Shea becomes all consuming and too hot hot hot to ignore and a night of passion ensues; along with the extremely awkward morning after.

"That's something I understood about Baz. His undying devotion. If he was in, he was all in. I knew that counted for me now too."
As Shea and Baz become closer and he becomes a part of both her and Kallie's life, the feelings that they have for each other seem to intensify even though they are both harboring some serious secrets. Baz hasn't told Shea that he is a famous rock star with a tumultuous past and she hasn't told him anything about her life before Kallie was born. Once deciding to actually be in a relationship is when it essentially all goes to hell and their worlds are turned upside down because of it.

"It only throbbed in the well of my chest, pressing firm and fast and ferocious, the aftermath of loving too freely and losing too soon. God, it was the truth. I wasn't prepared. Wasn't prepared for how this was actually going to feel."

I will warn you...CLIFF HANGER CITY!!!!! I actually tried to keep swiping past the last words on the page because I could not fathom that A.L. Jackson would leave me hanging like that! A reveal that I never saw coming and would have never in a million years guessed from the events that led up to it. You MUST MUST MUST run out and read this book because I can guarantee that you will fall in love with the story as I did. I am sitting on pins and needles waiting for the next book Drowning to Breathe....so please don't make this reading wait too long :)

I’ve always been a huge fan of AL Jackson and her ability to spin a story of love and heart break that keeps you on edge and she does not disappoint with A Stone in the Sea.   She brings you into their characters’ lives and makes you feel what the characters feel.   You feel their love, their pain, and their heartbreak.

Sebastian Stone aka Baz and his bandmates are forced to lay low and stay out of trouble in Savannah while Sebastian is facing some legal troubles.  When he steps into the local bar in Savannah the last thing he expected to find was the southern country girl that would steal his heart.   The moment he laid eyes on Shea he was captivated by her.  Night after night he returned to the bar in hopes she would go on a date with him.  But Shea has her own priorities and dating is not one of them.  But yet when he was around, there was an unexplainable connection that she never felt to anyone.

“Baz had me feeling like a young girl with dreams again.  But this time that young girl wasn’t suffocated with elevated dreams that were not her own.  Instead she felt the fluttering of dreams there were simple.  A simple girl who wanted a simple boy. But I knew in my gut Sebastian Stone was anything but simple.”

Shea knew if she opened herself up to Baz that he could have the ability to make her feel again.  But at the same time was she ready to open herself up to this stranger?  He made her feel loved and cherished and she was the only thing that mattered.  But she also knew deep down that he was in town for a short time, could she open herself up for heartbreak?  Is the reward worth the risk?

Shea finally agrees to a date and both immediately feel their connection is anything but normal.   They connect on a much deeper level neither can explain and they both know after they are together, things will never be the same.

“Without a doubt that night at changed me.  Sebastian had changed me.  Altered who is was, what I believed, and what I wanted.  It was somehow liberating and bound me in chains all at the same time.”

They both fell it a deeper level but both of them have secrets that have the ability to tear them apart.   Secrets that will surface and cause lives to shatter.  There are unexpected twists I never expected but with AL Jackson, you know she will have a surprise in store for us!  It does in a cliffhanger but the ending was just so shocking I didn’t mind it!  I cannot wait to see how Sebastian and Shea’s story continues!
