Bound by Lies by Rebecca Shea is book 2 in the Bound and Broken Series. All I can say is WOW!!! This book has everything that you can want in a book; a bit of mystery, love lost, longing, and triumph over the binds that hold you back.
Picking up right where Broken by Lies left off, the reader is assaulted with the after math of one of the most emotionally charged and dangerous scenes that I have read in a long time. Emilia is left with Sam, utterly broken covered in the blood of the love of her life. A love that she stumbled upon in the least likely of circumstances. Trying to put her life back together after losing Alex, is looking bleak to Emilia; especially while she is staying with his twin brother Sam. Sam only serves as a reminder of what she lost.
Sam has ulterior motives for helping Emilia; and it is deeper than keeping a promise to his brother. The feelings that he has for Emilia are strong and although he acknowledges that she is heartbroken over what transpired with his brother Alex, he hopes that one day she will look at him, as she looked at Alex.
I normally write much longer reviews, especially when I love a book, but there is so much intensity and revelations within this story, that you need to experience them firsthand to appreciate how amazing this story is. I highly suggest that you rush to read this series, you will be far from disappointed.
Rebecca Shea is the USA Today Bestselling author of Unbreakable. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her family and her beagle, Miles. From the time Rebecca could read she has had a passion for books. Rebecca spends her days working full-time and her nights writing, bringing stories to life. Born and raised in Minnesota, Rebecca moved to Arizona in 1999 to escape the bitter winters. When not working or writing, she can be found on the sidelines of her son’s football games, or watching her daughter at ballet class. Rebecca is fueled by insane amounts of coffee, margaritas, Laffy Taffy (except the banana ones), and happily ever afters.
