Bonus Scene: Never Over You by Ryleigh Andrews

Never Over You Bonus Scene
“You guys need to stay on the other bus tonight,” Mia said as she swiped down the table her bandmates sat at. Ethan would be meeting up with them in Baltimore as they headed toward their next show in Miami, where he’d catch a flight to his game in Houston. She would have Thursday night and most of the next morning with him before they dropped him off at the airport. That’d be a fun sight—their big ass tour bus pulling up to Departures. “What?” they all protested. “I have not seen my husband in three and a half weeks.” “Just take the bedroom,” Todd said. “I intend to, but I want privacy because things are gonna get loud.” Marty closed his eyes as in pain and Mia fought not to laugh. “Don’t talk like that!” he moaned. “Hey, I’m being nice here. I’m warning you. You guys never warn me and then I’m stuck on this damn bus while you are in there,” she said, pointing at the back bedroom of the tour bus, “listening to those girls call out your names.” “They’re that loud?” Todd asked to which she swatted at him with the towel. “Please?” she begged. “Just do this for me.” “Fine,” Marty acquiesced. “When do you pick him up?” Mia glanced out the window and saw the airport to her left. “About ten minutes.” “What?!?” all three men shouted in surprise. “Get!” she ordered them. They grumbled but did as she requested and went about packing their things to bring over to the other bus. While they did that, she prepared the back bedroom, changing sheets and throwing everything else into the cabinets lining the wall. When the bus came to a stop, Mia took a deep breath, calming her urge to rush off the bus and into her husband’s strong arms. She did well until the moment she heard the doors open and her husband’s sexy voice floated through the air. At that point she raced from the back of the bus and increased her pace when she saw his face split into a wide grin. She jumped right into his waiting arms, their lips instantly fusing together. Her mind quickly catalogued all the features she loved about him: his calming scent, his salty taste, and his embrace made just for her. “Hi, suga.” And the way he greeted her. “Hi.” Neither of them moved. They just continued to stare at each other, drinking in the missed sight before their eyes. “Hey, Ethan,” each man said as they maneuvered around them. “Have fun you two, but please don’t break the bed,” Todd said which caused them all to laugh. “Not making any promises,” Ethan said, his eyes still locked on her. She felt his words straight between her legs. The door closed and the bus took off as did Ethan. He backed her up against the counter, his large hands on either side of her chest, his lips attacking hers. Having him in her space assaulted her senses in the most delicious of ways. A most missed way. As much as she loved going on tour and performing in front of thousands of people every night, she missed her husband, missed this intimacy with him. “Bedroom. Now,” she said as soon as his lips left hers and trailed along her chin to her neck. “You want it on a bed?” he asked as his lips slid down her neck and his hands ran up and under her shirt, stopping right below her breasts which ached for his touch. “Uh, no. But it’s private and then you can do whatever you want to me.” His lips paused on her skin and his head shot up, his sparkling eyes fixed on hers. “Oh yeah?” “Yeah.” His face broke into a smile and he launched her over his shoulder and stalked to the back bedroom. A grin covered her face because she knew just how much fun she’d be having tonight and she couldn’t wait to start.

Strange how life deals the cards sometimes …
Life was perfect for Mia Devereux.
“You can always have me, Mia. I’m always yours. Forever, suga.”
She had everything she always wanted.
But maybe life wasn’t so perfect after all.
One event threatens her happily ever after.
Will Mia revert to her old ways of dealing with her pain?
Or will she fight?
Or will the hurt simply be too much to handle?
Can she get past the pain and recapture the life she so desperately wanted?

During the day, Ryleigh is an analyst, but even then, she’s writing, sneakily crafting scenes on post-it notes. She's been told she's a bit of a geek...some say nerd. She'll agree to it all. She loves music. It's been a force in her life for as long as she can remember. Her love of Star Wars and superheroes has probably been going on just as long...see, this is where the geek/nerd thing comes into play. But, most of all, Ryleigh loves the written word. She's been writing for a long time. Her first story came to her during one of her history classes. She wrote it in the margins of her notebook in teeny tiny letters so no one knew that she was writing a book instead of taking notes on 16th Century Europe. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband and son, along with her Siberian Husky, Mick Jagger, and her cat, Winston Churchill.
