The Voice Between My Legs by Ozlo and Priya Grey is a story about a cancer survivor that decides to take her life in her own hands and she starts to live for herself instead of doing what everyone else is doing. Lacey Winters used to have a good job that made great money and after she got sick, she decided it was time to make a change. She had always loved photography and decided to become a photographer in New York. In trying to rediscover herself, to figure out who she is now, she meets one of her neighbors and becomes friends with her. That new relationship leads her to a sex club where she rediscovers her libido – something that had died after cancer.
Events unfold and she meets Cooper West, the CEO of her old company. To say that their relationship is complicated is an understatement. He is holding onto ghosts from his past and she is ready for the future. Not exactly a match made in heaven. Will they ever get on the same page?
Sexual surrender and experimentation mixed with a love story splashed with a touch of self-discovery. I could relate to the main character Lacey. I don’t have cancer, but I did get sick with a neuro-muscular disease, and suddenly your life is changed overnight. Perspectives change. You learn that to really live means that you have to stop smell the roses and you have to follow your dreams, scratch things off of your bucket list. I give the story 3.5 stars and recommend you read it. Parts of the story were rushed and happening too quickly, and there were times I kept thinking, I wouldn’t let it go as easily as Lacey did, but all in all, a good story that will make you reflect - even just a little - and will get you hot under the collar with the sex.
