Release Date: March 8th, 2016

DESTROY ME is book one in the New Adult romance Crystal Gulf Series.

Bach lives his life with honesty and without restraints, happy to be known as a sexy as all hell, unapologetic asshole.

When he drinks, he drinks hard.

When he wants a woman, he makes sure she knows it.

When he opens his mouth, it’s either to piss someone off or to turn someone on.

You can normally find him with one hand on a bottle and one hand on a woman, trying to forget his past.

Harley Evans is a twenty-one-year-old year old college student. She's a good girl who fell hard for Dylan, who’d promised her forever. But Dylan, Bach’s best buddy, lied.

He enlisted in the Army, crushing Harley with equal parts anger and sadness. She’d already lost her father to that choice. Heartbroken, she falls back into depression.

Stuck in Crystal Gulf all summer with little to do, Harley needs a distraction. Enter Bach, sexy as f*#ck distraction, ready and willing.

Dylan’s not all bad though. Before he left, he asked Bach to watch out for Harley, knowing she’d never go for a guy like Bach. She’s too good for him. Too good for anyone.

But Dylan was wrong. He never should have left them together. Bach is there to pick up the pieces Dylan left behind. Soon pieces aren't enough. He wants more, needs more Harley.

DESTROY ME is dark, sexy, heartbreaking, and intoxicating.

Amazon:

When I lean in to kiss him he moves his face so my lips land on his cheek. I kiss it, sliding my lips over his stubble. He smells so different than Dylan. Like sweat and sadness and desire. It’s musky and intoxicating. If desire had a smell it would smell like Bach. Wanting something you know you shouldn’t want. And wanting it more because you know deep down that want is going to break you apart. The desire is new and overwhelming, rushing over me like a wildfire. I am swept up in it.

“Harley.”

The sound of his voice makes heat erupt between my legs. I urge closer to him. “Please, Bach.”

He groans. His hands tighten around my waist and his eyes fill with something dark and bad. He wants me too. But then again this is Bach. His cut off age is ninety. He doesn’t want to touch me. The want I see could be wishful thinking. He wants to put me in a display case. I’m really the only one who wants anything right now.

I brace my hands on either side of his head and kiss his cheek again, rubbing them over his strong jaw. “Break them.”

Destroy Me by Shana Vanterpool is a provocative story about two people who couldn’t appear more wrong for each other, but who are actually made for each other. This is more than just opposites attract, it is about finding the one person that can pull you out of your own personal hell.

Bach was tasked with watching out for Harley by his best friend Dylan now that he has received orders and will be deployed to Afghanistan. The last thing Bach wants to do is babysit the very girl who helped change Dylan from the man he was before. What does he want to do with a goody two shoes that looks down at him every chance he gets? The only problem is, the more he’s around her, the more he understands exactly what Dylan saw in her…and he wants it for himself.

Harley is dating Dylan, Bach’s best friend. She is a straight laced college student who doesn’t think that her boyfriend is anything but good. Yes, she knows he has a past, but most people do and he has turned his life around. To her, Bach is the bad influence and Dylan needs to stay away from him. Bach parties too hard, drinks too much, does too many drugs, and has no future…unlike Dylan. And then everything changes when she finds out that Dylan has joined the Army and never told her, and that isn’t the only lie or red flag. Turns out Dylan might have had more of a past than he was ever willing to admit and might have been cheating on her.

Thrown together because Dylan doesn’t believe that anything will happen between them, and things start to change. Maybe Bach isn’t as bad as what Harley originally believed. Maybe Harley isn’t all saint like Bach thought. They both have their past, and Bach is running away from his. Can Harley reach him? Will they dive in and explore the feelings that are going between them? What about Dylan?

While the story at times seemed to drag a little, the story was enjoyable and a great read. By the end of the book I was pulling for both Harley and Bach and couldn’t wait to see how it ended. Bach deserved to have something more in his life and I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. I already have a couple of people I’m hoping it is about. 3.5 stars and a big recommendation to read it for yourselves. Being from Texas myself, I picture Crystal Gulf as kind of like Galveston and I could imagine it so well in my head.

Destroy Me by Shana Venterpool is the first book in the Crystal Gulf Series. The story of the quintessential good girl and the ultimate manwhore, Shana Vanterpool weaves an intricate story that will have you wondering about the secrets they are keeping. A story of an unlikely couple, thrown together by circumstance, Destroy Me will have you rooting for Bach and Haley to make it, despite all of the obstacles in their way. This book was a 3.5 star read for me and I look forward to the next book in this series.

Haley's heart is broken when her boyfriend Dylan finally reveals to her a secret he has been keeping since before they first met. A decision that he made coming from a good place, but one that Haley is unable to accept due to the events of her past. Haley doesn't know that Dylan asked his best friend since childhood, manwhore Bach Bachman to watch over her until he returns, despite Haley's insistence that they are over.

Bach drinks, takes drugs and has sex with girls in order to escape the nightmares of his childhood, nightmares that have made him believe that he is impossible to love and is no good for anyone. When Bach agrees to watch over Haley for Dylan, despite his anger at Dylan leaving, he doesn't expect to fall for the girl he considers a square. But the more time he spends with her, the more he wants what he knows he shouldn't have.

The dynamic between Haley and Bach will have you yelling at your kindle and then sighing with aww as these two navigate an unlikely friendship that someone begins to turn into more despite the fact that neither one of them wants to like the other. I recommend this book to others!

Destroy Me is the first book in the Crystal Gulf series.  I would give this book a 3.5 stars and would recommend to others.  This book is not your typical romance it is a whirlwind romance and the pairing is an unlikely couple.  I have to say I struggled with this story until about 40% after that it seemed to pick up and drew me in like I was hoping it would do from the beginning.  Thanks for a good story and look forward to much more in the future.

Harley is the good girl with the good boyfriend Dylan, but when that good bf breaks her heart by keeping a big secret from her she doesn't know how to move on from that.  When she finds out that her Dylan left his best friend Bach in charge of making sure she doesn't get depressed while he is away she instantly hates him even more, and she really can't stand the sight of Bach so how is she supposed to deal with him being around all the time?

Bach is your quintessential bad boy.  He knows how to party like no other, but he has demons he has been fighting since he was a child so he drinks, screws, and drugs them away.  What he didn't expect is his best friend to leave him high and dry just when he needed him the most, and to top it all off he left his GF behind for Bach to keep company.... he thinks of her as the goody two shoes and despises everything she is about....

Even though Bach and Harley can't stand each other they will form a bond beyond what they ever thought.. but what will happen when Dylan comes home.. what will happen when even more secrets are revealed.. do they form a love hate relationship?
