Emerson has always wanted to be a professional cheerleader. The only problem: she's larger than the other girls. She finally gets her big break with the home team, and it seems like her life is on track. Only other problem: her broken heart from years ago has never healed.

Then she meets Sanchez, the Playboy of the team. A little flirting never hurt anyone. That is, until her old love is traded to their team. Who will Em choose? Sanchez who seems to only want her body or Miller, the boy who broke her heart?

This book makes you laugh, makes you cry a little, but mostly makes you happy to read about a real sized woman with real issues.

Sadly, this was not my favorite Rachel VanDyken.

Emerson has finally become her lifelong dream of being a cheerleader. She doesn't feel the unrealistic size expectations but that doesn't stop her. But due to her past she is leery of all football players.

So when Grant Sanchez starts hitting on her, she turns him down at every opportunity. But he wants to be more for her and so he offers her friendship.

But the rules are about to change when Emerson's first love gets traded to the team she cheers for - Miller Quinton.

I am not sure how to write this review because I love RVD.. ALOT... but for some reason this book just didn't fulfill all my desires like I had hoped. It was still written well and it had that RVD flame too it so I would recommend to others for sure. But sadly I can only give it a 3.5 stars. I do have a feeling the reviews that come in on this book will be a 50/50 given that it is a love triangle.. and not everyone is going to like the outcome... I have to say I did have a side and mine was not chosen :( but on the bright side the not chosen seems to get his own story!

Emerson, Miller and Sanchez(aka Grant) what a triangle they compose... but who will come out on top? Can Miller make Emerson see that what they had in the past is worth salvaging after both of there angers subside? Or will Sanchez show Emerson that there is more out there for her and he is the right choice?

Fraternize by Rachel Van Dyken is a love triangle that will leave you guessing until the end. Like her previous books the story flows, the characters are engaging, and the heat level is high...however, while I think the book was good, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It was lacking in some ways and over the top in others.

Emerson doesn't trust football players, but Grant is aiming to change her mind. A wrench is thrown into everything when her first love Miller is traded to the team she cheers for. Who will she choose?

I give this book 4 stars. I wavered a bit between 3.5 and 4, but in the end, I decided on the higher rating. I think a lot of her fans will love this book and I do recommend it, but be aware that this might be a little different from her other work.
