Quinn Reynolds is desperate for answers. After a near fatal accident, Quinn’s life changes and she is suddenly plagued by dreams of ravens, magic, and a boy with copper-ringed eyes. Told by her doctors that she is delusional, Quinn travels to the Northwoods of Minnesota to find out the truth. But Quinn has another problem that she hasn’t shared. Not only does she dream of magic, she also possesses her own power as well.
Corbin Olsen has been battling his own demons for the last ten years. After sacrificing everything to save Quinn’s life, she forgot about him completely. He’s thought of her constantly in the years she’s been gone, but nothing prepared him for the woman she has become. Although angry at her for leaving him, Corbin isn’t able to dismiss his need for her.
But Corbin and Quinn are running out of time for a meaningful reunion, the real evil is back and hunting the prey that escaped them all those years ago.
Magic plus love equals Northwoods Magic. An accident changed Quinn's life and left her with more questions than answers. Dreams plague her, but she doesn't understand them. Corbin saved Quinn and then she disappeared, but he never forgot about her. Now she is back and finds out the truth. Will they be able to battle the evil out to get her together? Read to find out. I give this book 3.5 stars. I felt like there were parts that were lacking and dragged. Plus I think the characters could have had more depth. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I do think it could have been so much more. The story was good though and I'm intrigued enough to read book two. When Quinn was sixteen, she had a horrific accident. For ten years after, she had nightmares and what could only be described as psychotic breakdowns. Finally desperate for answers, Quinn returns to the scene of the accident and learns that The Green Man and Corbin, her raven turned man, saved her ten years ago from an evil entity.
Now that Quinn is back, can she solve her problems? Can Corbin and the Green Man help her?
I liked the basic premise of this story. It has romance and magic, but I felt that I could have used more of each. This was a nice read, however. It just made me want more of either. Quinn had an accident when she was little, while visiting Northwoods Minnesota. Its changed her life but not for the better. She has become a shut-in. She finally works up the courage to go back and figure out what happened all those years ago.
Corbin saved Quinn years ago, and felt abandoned when she left. He was caught off guard when she finally did arrive and he tried to keep his distance, still hurt and not understanding why she left.
As Quinn slowly uncovers what she is and what happened, Corbin starts to understand. Slowly they help each other and form an unbreakable bond.
What happens, well you will have to one click to find out.
