I liked the characters and the premise of the story, however, I felt like the story lacked in some spots. It moved slowly and dragged during several scenes. That said, I did enjoy the story for the most part and give this one 3.5 stars.
Carter and Austin meet through a mutual friend and Austin treated Carter very harshly at first... but then they became fast friends... but circumstances never seemed right for them to make there move toward each-other so they will find themselves at a point where they have to separate from eachother for and extended period of time but what will happen when they finally give into the sparks that ignited?? Can they find an HEA??
Get to one clicking to find out! Carter is naive teacher from Georgia, teaching in LA. She loves what she does. Happy to have her close friend and musician, Liam, nearby doesn't hurt either. Meeting up with him to celebrate being in LA she comes across Austin.
The MMA fighter comes across as mean and cold. He has been burned in the past and lumps all girls together. Eventually he gives Carter a chance as "just friends" but there is undeniable chemistry between the two. But Austin is adamant that they can only remain friends.
Separated for a while, they finally find their way back to each other, but some one seems intent on keep them apart.
This book dragged a bit for me from when they were starting out to when they separated. About three quarters in it started to pick back up.
What happens? One click to find out.
Writer of words. Drinker of Diet Cokes. Lover of all things cute and furry, especially her dog. Catherine has had her nose in a book since the time she could read and finally decided to write down some of her own stories. When she's not writing she can be found exploring her home state of Oregon, listening to true crime podcasts, or searching for her next book boyfriend.
