I had to think long and hard about this one, but when it came down to it, I liked the book, but not as much as the Badlands series, and the narration was good. Let me break it down. 

Story: 3.5 stars
As I said, I liked the story. It had action and suspense, but I also found it repetitive. It started out on a high note, and started to fall flat, only to pick back up again. And I have to admit, there were times when Evan seriously got on my nerves and I wanted to knock some sense into him. Now, I don't want you to think I didn't like this. I did. The story is original and intriguing, and on top of that, I really liked Seth. It was a good book to get into and I do plan on reading the other books in the series. 

Narration: 4 stars
Kale Williams narrated this book, as he did for Badlands. Once again, his narration was good, he was able to bring the characters to life, but it seemed that he had a slightly harder time connecting with these characters compared to Badlands. Especially Evan, but then again that character was very back and forth. He still did an excellent job of making each character unique so that you could tell who was talking when. 

Overall: 3.5 stars
I'm giving this book an overall rating of 3.5 stars. The story is good, the narration great, but there were a few things that didn't quite hit the mark with this one. I'm hoping that since this is a series, once I read the other books I'll feel a little more settled and change my mind. I still think you need to one click this book and give it a listen/read today!
