There is a tragic scene in this story that left me in tears (well, many moments left me that way) and changed the lives of Calix and Thalia forever. Years pass, and Calix finally exacts his revenge on the people who took his Thalia away from him. In the process, he wins over her protected heart piece by piece, with patience and a deep love that leaves you gasping, and, eventually, when she comes to terms with all her life was, is, and will be, she shows that he isn’t the only one with a twisted mind and heart seeking revenge. These two are perfect for one another.
The ending of this one was amazing! I cannot wait for the next book. I HAVE to find out how Calix and Thalia navigate their new world. I NEED more Calix and Thalia.
