Both characters (actually, all three) suffering a trauma of sorts from their pasts come together to help one another overcome those hurts and heal. All the while, protecting each other from danger lurking.
This is definitely a slow burn, and a story I absolutely loved. It has the strong H, perfectly independent h, an adorable young little guy, and enough romance, sweetness, suspense to hold the interest of anyone who is a fan of Mafia, single fathers, and age-gap stories.
